It's been four years, but I just found this song. "Years years bears" is just a metaphor for life passing.. it's a very weird metaphor.

@@the_luna_lily6234 Is that because their jobs are done in the morning and in the afternoon they'll be reflecting on it and realizing they've they've let the years go by. Like, 'years, years, bears' is like how the years go by so fast and you've just been doing the same thing and it's almost satirical so the 'bears' is added as a joke and it's meaningless really but that's because you feel like the past years have been meaningless

at one point i could smell (i think around 2:20) a coppery smell and there was a really bright light but i felt more at peace than ive ever felt it felt like coming home, my skin is all furry now and i am typing with those black pillow like things that are the size of my old thumbs. I cant fit into my old gloves anymore my hands look like paws and my nose is very wet and licorice like??? Dod and tom i think you have done magic mayb years years bears is a spell that will turn any1 who listens into a bear after they age rapidly? Can anybody confirm this i would like to know. I can't ring my doctor because i'm a bear now and i dont think my doctor has heard the song yet; i understand that self diagnosis is very dangerous but i have never wanted to eat honey and harm people more than ever

Me just literally overanalysing things:
Title- years, years, bears. This song is referring to new starts. Bears hibernate, aka wasting most of their year away if we’re looking at them as humans. Two years in the title is possibly referring to how long it feels you’ve been in this trance of not being able to get out of the trance. This could be a tribute to how depression can feel for some reason.
“And I’ve written things down” reffering to the classic post-it’s.
“Gonna be a better human if I can” this one hit hard. Saying that they’re trying to be a better person, more productive, but physically can’t. Their brain is blocking it out with thoughts like “what’s the point”
“Your bathrooms got mold” because sometimes depression can get to the point of not cleaning, taking care of yourself etc.
There are so many other sad things in this beautiful song I don’t have the time to write down but if you listen closely enough you really get the message! Also this is a 2 year old vid but whatever still a good song
