As always, a great watch and I am looking forward to more of these Friday tech talks.
Thanks so much!
HI Eddie, I always look forward to these videos, love the info you give on these videos. Thank you so much. 😄
Thanks so much!!
Love the gas-diffusion video effect at the intro.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks Eddie, Basso is the benchmark. I have a book or two of his.
Thank you! Yes - I agree!
Eddie, during the 80s I attended a ICAP-4 simulation class at INTUTsoft in San Pedro at which Chris was the class leader. It was the most intense 10 days of SPICE simulation that I have never attended. Chris's knowledge of Spice reveals Dan Becker or Eric Borgin. We received his first book on switching power supply simulation.
Wow - that would have been amazing!!! Man they just don't do those types of seminars anymore - or do they? Yes, I think the Basso books or tops!
Hi Eddie,
I know what you mean about time. I just turned 61. It seems that the older you get, the faster time goes by. It is crazy thinking about all the chapters in my life.
I use to read a lot, but don't seem to much lately. It's hard to find the time, even though I'm retired-disabled.
I still have many projects going at a time. Doing electronics as much as I can. I was a building-electrical contractor for 40 years. So I pretty much do a bit of everything. Love working on audio lately and alternative energy. Just recently got my Ham radio license.
Love learning more though and do most of that online.
Are you going to do a video showing more of the microscope that you got?
Have a great day!
I know what you mean ;) Yes, I have a new microscope to show;)
Eddie, you should check out Chris's book on switching power supplies, 2 edition.
Thanks - I do have them;) I will have to show these.
I am looking forward to Friday tech talks. Do you have any digital copies of your book available for download? I'm just curious. I would definitely read it. Just by the quick pages you showed from that book, it seems very well staged in the process of each stage of circuit design and what the wave form should like, including the calculations. Beautiful...
Thank you! I think these are only on paper for now. I'll ask to see if they have plans to provide digital versions. Here's the link to this one: Link to this book: amzn.to/3JxerHS
I wanted to ask you mamy weeks ago... when you gonna reorganize your desk?
Consider spending a few weekends and assembling simple shelves on which you can place these great measuring devices.
😉
LOL - just so much to do - hard to find the time;) I will get to it though...
Best way to explain a good author is they are "Hands On" rather than theatrical analytical type only.
Yes! Thank you!
But it's Sunday,...when I'm watching this.
LOL hope you liked it. What country are you in?
@@KissAnalog Same as you. I just didn't see it right away.
Looking forward to more of these. Do you have any recommendations for analog / power supply books? especially with used and old editions. I love a beautiful book but need a beater too
Also any chance we could buy a copy of your book?
Thank you!
Here is a link to this one: Link to this book: amzn.to/3JxerHS
To a simple guy like me, deriving transfer function of SMPS is not different from most advanced physics.
LOL The great thing about this book is that it is written as a student guide, so it is a great book to start with.
I am on age to but I find that time going faster.....but yes after 50 time just flying away.😂
Yes - it just flys by - especially when I've got so many videos to do - and just can't find the time...
