Great stuff Eddie, I have been putting small value caps across the 4 diodes on my bridge rectifiers when I build simple linear ( low freq. switchers?) power supplies for power amps. Thought was to reduce noise as the diodes switch the 60 Hz AC to the pulse DC , is this necessary and does it really do anything at all ?
Oh no science interfering with the magic of earth ground boxes. This discounts the grand placebo effect. Discounting out of band noise can be seen as disingenuous for those who live way down in the weeds. Given your day job requires results chasing some small noise may not be productive. I do understand your view point.

No but some of us know that the jobs you do are classified. Thats all i have to say on that. The audiophiles are upset because they spend thousands on a fancier piece of covered wire and thinks it sounds better . Unfortunately like flat earthly people , you will never change there mind. Well atleast flat earthly people you can just take up to space and prove it . And there is youtube videos of that, well atleast high enough to see thats its round, pretty close to it 😂.. so my question is isn't that why there is multiple grounds in a supply?? Like analog, digital . But isn't it just a basic reference point . Example like 4v is lower than 5 so more negative but also could be used a a reference?

I want to do more testing, but so far with a linear ps, the noise picked up by the scope leads, far exceeds noise generated by the ps.

Could you a do third one in this comparison showing fast Fourier transformation view.. Also, I’m confused that the switching mode power supply is noisier than the linear, when some of our other videos seem to show that switching mode power supplies can be cleaner/less noise… so this seems to be an issue of maybe “less than optimal care and attention to detail” on the switching mode power supply re filtering of its outputs.. Maybe a different switchin mode power supply has a cleaner output? Do you have one that is cleaner?
What objectives in terms of noise etc. do high frequency devices require? Oscilloscopes, freq analyzers
