Glad I could help! Never too late. =) Big benefit of waiting is how much easier it is to assemble a printer these days. Took me about 16 hrs to assemble my first Anet A8. ua-cam.com/video/v0bS8EpHwCY/v-deo.html
My pleasure. Makes my day that you found it useful. If you ever want me to share some of the stuff you are doing in Meshmixer, I am willing to learn from you.
Thanks! I received a note on Facebook that Meshmixer is not being maintained anymore. =( I am glad I have my copy downloaded so it does not disappear on me.
@@HLModTech I seen that, bummer. i think I have mine backed up somewhere. If not I know who has a copy lol. I keep a copy of good old 123D around to play with too.
Good stuff! Is it possible to either stretch or expand a certain area of a stl file? For example I found a chaingun stl from the doom eternal game and I want to make the side handle have a wider grip for my doom slayer action figure without having to dremel it and ruin the print.
Yes... but my skills with the brush tools are brutal. I am never patient enough... This video may be you close. There are a TON of options. ua-cam.com/video/Q9-7j0PBMMY/v-deo.htmlsi=I9sXZIhYXF76fCsb Essentially select the area... then "sculpt" away.
I do not. Make sure you are going to the autodesk site to snag it. I had one user that had downloaded a version from somewhere else and that was a bad gig. This version of meshmixer was new when Win 7 was out, so the age of your Windows is not likely an issue.
Been using maya2023 but so hard to cut up n add together there or boolean things from one another for inserting other objects into 3d printed parts after done
Meshmixer to cura...saved to SD...ender 3 max neo...when I print it only heats up parameters but prints nothin...does anyone know what I'm doing wrong please help
Still incredibly useful, and I really value how you don't edit out or ignore accidents or mistakes. Great teaching, I'm super grateful.
Greatly appreciated @matchesmalone2355!
WOW & WOW!!! Amazing Teacher!!!! Thank you
The perfect way to start my day @MrErick35. Thank you.
Thank you! You explained everything so clearly and slowly. You’re a great teacher!
Thanks Christina for the feedback! 👍 100% makes my day when users have success.
Brand new to the 3D printing game. Started waaaayy late. Haha. This helps immensely. Thank you. Subscribed.

👍 not gonna lie… I have to look back at my vids to regain my skills too. 😂
Thanks for making this video!

My pleasure Claude. Thank you for the note! 👍💯
Good video, I can't wait to get a 3d printer

Thank you. I really dig that it is free and offline. So many programs are moving to a online version...
You are awesome
Makes my day to hear that! Thanks Bill. 💯👍

How do you subtract one stl from the other in meshmixer , is there a boleeen option
Am I correct that you solved this question?
Is this the program I need if I have an action figure and want to merge it on to a business card holder base? Thanks
You may be able to do that super simple in Tinkercad too. ua-cam.com/video/gPeWdLQYfuA/v-deo.html
I've tried to install meshmixer on my win 10 machine. No success, tried several times , it sucks for me . Got any alternatives that work good .

For simple shapes Tinkercad is pretty slick. ua-cam.com/video/oK9sdQhVfbc/v-deo.html
Anyway of doing the opposite? Choosing an stl file and separating it in to different parts without using a plane cut.
I have only done it with plane cut or brute force in Tinkercad. ua-cam.com/video/L9bPgXKUQv4/v-deo.html

Can you print other designs of the Ender? Just trying to figure out if it is a printer issue or software issue.
