Our favorite time of the week, sat chat time. And yes, okay week when you said what time is it? We all shouted, it's sat chat time. My wife is a quiet woman. She listens, she learns and when she speaks one betters themselves to sit up and listen. So when she gleefully shouted, "it's sat chat time!" I almost fell out of my seat. We had a real laugh about it all week long and discussed whether or not you'd open with that again. I won so tonight we dine at my favorite restaurant. That was the bet. Little dots she know yet though, I'm driving us to hers. Whether you know it or not, you bring people together and bring joy. My wife and i are day and night in every way. I can't think of anything other than sat chat and true crime we both agree upon. What makes it great is she opens me up to new things I'd otherwise be closed to & likewise. So never a dull moment and we never fight over the last slice or which peice peice of chicken. We like different things, but we both agree and wait to watch sat chat together. Even though she cough care less about creating, art, etc. Her interest was seeing me pleased doing what I love. Her joy from watching you is in knowing what to get me as a gift. She says she knows if you say eh, there's better she won't bother. Before we found you she would never buy me art supplies. She'd merely not begrudge me anything. Now she actively takes part in my joy and you did that. Trust me, for a couple that's been thither longer than you've been alive it's hard to spark new connections. You've done that and we thank you. If for no other reason than that there must be a special place in heaven for you. Thank you.
I loved your coloured pencil class, I learned tons! All of the fruit paintings are framed in my kitchen, and the chickadee is framed in my living room ❤
I am so glad that your videos are long, because I AM a procrastinator. I watch your videos to stay focused on the drawing or painting that I am trying to do. So thank you!
Lindsey! I have to brag! I’ve been doing art every single day in 2025!!! I’ve never been so dedicated to my art! And I’m still working on perspective, which you helped me so much on understanding perspective at the domain!
I'm totally with you on retraining the brain to focus - pretty much half the reason I subscribed to Critique Club is to have access to more long form videos :)
Love love love Ray Bradbury!!! He is a beautiful writer ❤ I feel like he does an excellent job of evoking the reader’s feelings and really putting you in the moment. Have a great week!!!
I love your longer videos, heck Satchat could be over an hour and it will still be the first video I watch on Saturday while having breakfast. I clicked over and bought the watercolors and there wasn’t a discount anymore. You almost never say that something is great before your actual review so I didn’t want to wait. Totally looking forward to your next class. I started the last lesson in the soft pastel class using pan pastels and it’s fun. Couldn’t finish in one session because of time. Maybe today 😊
So glad you're enjoying the classes! The paint is great at full price, you will love it and I bet it will sell out. Usually when a coupon goes away it's because it hit a certain stock level.
Loving your look in this video! Very retro fabulous. ❤️ I am overjoyed your next Teachable class is oil pastels, take my money now! 🙂. Always a good time watching you on Sat morning.
I completely agree with fighting against how rushed our world is today! I used to have a blog and I had such beautiful inner thoughts and descriptions but when I tried to write it was "Just the facts, ma'm!" I blame college for that! I had so many words struck out saying "unnecessary" or "redundant". Lol I'm here for longer videos from you! Even if it freezes!
Hullo Lindsay, thanks for sharing this SatChat today! I have “rescued” watercolor paper with defective sizing by making multimedia pieces. I combined my watercolor with gouache or color pencils even working acrylics into the picture to save the paper! I do HATE learning how to work new software! I believe that most “improvements” are just ways for programmers to keep their jobs! Moving actions around is not helpful! Changing interface can be more confusing than just leaving it alone! But they cannot charge you more for that! I hope you are able to record your new working area and share it with us! If it works out better for you! I have re-arranged my work areas and sometimes I change it back when I find myself lost and frustrated with being unable to find my supplies quickly and easily! Please take care and stay healthy, be safe out there!
Oh, I hear you! Learning new software is hideous. I said goodbye to Adobe software because of that. I moved on to Affinity for design and to Da Vinci Resolve for video editing. None of them are subscriptions and the updates are more to fix bugs than to add features I don't understand or use. I can't be bothered to learn something totally new every time they add an update. Who has time for that? 😂😂
Multi-tasking has been so ingrained into our brains, the do more culture. I'm more of the mindset of focused time, being consumed by enjoyable activities. It's so much more rewarding. Bring on the long tutorials!
I saw a whole deer skeleton in the woods once. It was fascinating! It's often the fragrance in skin/lipcare products that's irritating. I now use pure vaseline or aquaphor (my favorite).
I bypassed this on Sunday thinking it was an older post. You look about twenty years younger with your hair like this! You look lovely! Use Vaseline on the lips with chap stick over it to seal in the moisture. This time of year is terrible for chapped lips.
Great video! Thank you for bringing up the subject of being productive and feeding our brains instead of wasting them! It is an issue that I have thought about and addressed since I retired 5 years ago. I try to spend my days doing art, reading and (least important to me 😂) housework. I deleted my Facebook and Twitter accounts 3 years ago and only watch book and art videos on UA-cam and instagram. Thank you for all your content, I definitely have improved my art by watching your videos and joining critique club!
I’m once again late to the party. Was busy with work so just now started listening to Sat Chat. Immediately used the link to check out the watercolors. Now $35 and no link. So added to my shopping list to wait for next sale
It would be fun to tune into Sat Chat one week and see your studio totally rearranged. So I say go for it! I've been missing the big beautiful peony painting; I've always loved that painting. Did I see a 3rd Maine Monsta mug on the shelf? I only remember you having two of them. They make me smile! So you're a Chapstick-a-holic? It's too waxy for me. I'm a Burt's Bees Vanilla Bean Moisturizing Lip Balm-a-holic myself! lol Bye for now ~ LOVE the bangs!
The peony is upstairs now:) yes, I got a 3rd msine monster and it was one of my favorite te mugs but hubby accidently knocked it off the counter and ot broke do I glued it back together the best I could and I'm using it fir storage/decoration.
So pretty with the bangs, not that you're not always pretty. The bangs just make you look happy and bright. Also, the yellow scarf makes you look like s7mmertime. It's very nice to cheer us up on these dull days.
Hi lindsay, great SatChat. We need to get into the mindset that its ok for us to allow ourselves to sit for longer periods and do/ watch the things that we enjoy x
Great sat chat, Lindsay! I like your bangs and scarf, too. The 2 new pieces behind you are really pretty and colorful. On a much smaller scale I found a mouse skeleton in my old barn once. I thought the tail was the stem on a leaf! Was that a surprise! I learned something this week purely by accident when I was channel surfing my tv. I thought it was too old to get UA-cam on, but was amazed that I can! My eyes were arguing with the small print, but I got it! My neurologist had done a brain scan on me a few years ago to make sure a diagnosis wasn't related to that, but she said everyone has an area where brain dust starts accumulating all through life. I think this little learning experience with the tv blew some of my dust away and definitely gave a little positivity. I hope you'll share how you redo your work area. I always enjoy those. Thanks for all you do! Stay warm! It's been subzero wind chills here.
You are so inspiring. Love your hair band today, look so pretty today! You are so hard working, love how you are always juggling to make things work with art and a balanced work/family/health life, it surely shows - very inspiring! Have a great week.
Medicated Blistex is my fave! I use it on my lips and about the width of the chapstick around my mouth. I've been doing that constantly for years and it has prevented the formation of those vertical lines around the mouth that are so aging! I buy it in five packs so there's one in my purse, one in my pocket, one by the bed, one in the bathroom where I put it on after moisturizing... I look far younger than others my age because no lip lines!
The cathedral is pronounced like the city of St. Louis. I live close to New Orleans and we had about 8” of snow. It was beautiful, the temps were just below freezing; we are not near as cold as you.
I do enjoy Sat Chat and never fail to watch an episode! I am busy this month making a first bday card, I need to make a new baby card, I am hoping to make a journal to celebrate the first 12 months and also need to start a journal for the new born baby! I have also promised to convert a box into an advent calendar for next Christmas! I need to stop scrolling through media too! ♥♥♥
Fahrenheit 451 is on my current "to read" booklist too. I saw part of the end of the 1966 movie of that name a few years ago and it intrigued me. I think I saw Soylent Green around the same time. There must have been some sort of classic sci-fi movie series on the tv. So anyway, I decided to think of all the old sci-fi movies or books I could think of and see if I could read them this year. So far I've re-read "The day of the triffids" which I read at high school, and I found another author had written a follow up called "Night of the triffids" so I read that too. Perimenopause insomnia has done wonders for my reading. Over the last 3 years I've pledged to read 50 a year on Goodreads and read between 150 and 200 books each of those years. Annoyingly Goodreads counts sets of books as one book but it's cheaper to buy the sets than individually. I hope they fix that sometime.
It's funny as you talk about how we don't do large projects anymore, I'm in the ending stages of what is probably a 25 hour painting. It's by far the longest art piece I've ever done. I'm normally doing 3hr pieces and maybe up to 10, for things that are a little extra.
Fun video. I am loving audio books, which allow me to move around. Since I sit for some of my job and I sit (or at least don't walk) for my art, I love audio books, which allow me to move, do other things, and get some reading in after a long pause. Love my Saturday routine of working out & watching your video. Thanks!
So glad you had a productive week! I did too! When I procrastinate one one task by doing another, I call that "ProTaskination." 🤣 You must be living right, because you're glowing! PS: I used a "Yes! All Media" canvas for watercolor (from Jerry's Artarama) and liked it a lot. Many sizes, sold singly, good to fill out your cart for free shipping.
Happy Sat Chat! I love your hair! At first I thought maybe you dyed it a more golden yellow. A great way to change your hair color without actually dying it! ❤ I noticed that lip balms make my lips more dry as well, so sad. My favorite is Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm in Daisy. It’s dark enough to just use as a lip stick for me. (I’m ghost pale though. 😅) The deer skeleton sounds fascinating! We had to fix a leak in our kitchen and the plumbers found a whole rat skeleton. It looked really cool, (if also gross, since rats in our walls. XD) it was still together and pure white but still somehow stuck together. Yes, I hate death scrolling on UA-cam shorts and Instagram shorts. I wish I could stop them from showing up on my feed, since I still get tricked/enticed into clicking on them. Sigh Anyways, looking forward to your videos next week! The watercolor panels make me curious and remind me that I still have watercolor ground I should use before it goes bad.
I loved your colored pencil course, it is worth every cent! I have used what I learned to take old botanical images- like Ehret or Redoute, and copying flowers from some of their paintings in colored pencil. They have turned out fantastic. Take advantage people! Sign up for that course. Ooooh, I love Ray Bradbury. Something Wicked This Way Comes is so fantastic, as well as his sci-fi. He was a fabulous writer.
you look so cute today! and winter in maine means being freeze dried, I like like blistex best and the little hannafords in the north brewer shopping plaza carries it. also usining your facial misterizer on you lips is helpful.have a great week, :)
I love James Patterson’s books. Especially the ones with detective Alex Cross. I start reading one and I can’t put it down! It’s been a really cold January in Illinois too. Last week it was below zero all week. I never left my house! Excited about the watercolor canvas. Gotta check that out!
Again coocking meal and while waiting I am watching my fav weekly video :) I have to say I sometimes watch other videos and love watching reviews because I learn so much about pigments and materials, but sat chat is a must for me. If I miss it my weekend is not right :)
Lindsay I already have purchased your colored pencil course so will this new tutorial be added to it? I got tempted so much thatI ended up getting the Ohuhu colored pencils! Now you are talking about the Phoenix watercolors and hmmmm! Hope I don’t switch over to the amazon site to get it while I’m watching your Sat Chat!!😂
I love waking up on Saturday and opening Sat chat. Have you ever read Michaelides’ "The Maidens? " if I remember correctly, I liked it better than “The Silent Patient.“ Next on my list is “The Fury." Also, I agree that "slow" hobbies are the way to go. I think it gives us time for our brains to rest from what is going on around us. I really am so much more content when I spend time on my art or reading or walking in the woods. Thank you for another thoughtful video.
Thanks for todays Sat Chat. It's been so cold here that I hate to be outside, unless it's a walk to the car. In my opinion the best chapstick is the O'keeffe's Lip Repair. My lips were in such bad shape and just after a couple of days they were back to normal. Today I'm staying in and doing play time in my art journal. Have a great weekend. 🙂
@@thefrugalcrafter I use Nivea lip balm I have three lots my endometriosis medication makes my lips dry I use that brand super great I always have my lip balm in my handbag
I agree! I must do.more reading. Once i get my new glasses. I must paint more! Too. I used to.enjoy it. Thanks! I enjoy satchats. Gets me motivated again.. yes! Work our brains. Yoga, exercise. Swim. Dream! 😅
Yep, chapstick addiction, I don’t have it but every winter I think, oooh I should protect my lips, and apply some which starts the cycle of applying / breaking
Bangs look great! You need a huge stand that turns so you have 4 types of products accessible by just turning the stand. Surely Jason can build that for you😂. Have a great week Lindsay.
Love your hair style with the scarf. Very youthful. Now, if I were to do that, I’d look like an old scrub woman! Liked your two projects. In fact, I went to Hobby Lobby today and picked up the watercolor panels. They were Hobby’s own brand. I, too, never liked the Frederick brand….just couldn’t work with them. ❤ you and husband.
GM Lindsay , I got my ‘ Lightwish ‘ 2025 calendar , can’t wait to try it out , love your hair today , I recently cut some bangs and happy with the results , have a great weekend and stay warm , I’m also going to check out your book recommendations 😊
Hi Lindsay! I've never read Fahrenheit 451 either! Speaking of 'feeding your brain' or doing things that take longer. I just read an article that said that now-a-days everyone is multi-tasking all the time. I am SO guilty of that! And, multi-tasking apparently is not good for our brains (to prevent dementia). We don't really focus and fully absorb things if we are doing more than one thing at a time. I've got to work on that. TFS 💕
Funny thing is, I am going to be in the process of rearranging my art area and my apartment in general! We think alike! LOL! Middle of Winter is a good time to do cleaning and rearranging though.
I should just say a big Ditto. We have been fighting through the cold snap since January 2. I am sick of it! 😅. I lived in Northern Minnesota and Southern Minnesota. I am from there. I know it's cold. It just wears me out! This is the closest it has ever been in my 20 years of living here in Pennsylvania. I always carry Chapstick. I use the blue one with moisturizer. However, this year I have also been carrying Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm. Hang in there. I look forward to the paintings you will be sharing. Cute bangs and scarf. Thank you for Sat Chat.😊😊
I don't care to be "boxed in" either. I use locker shelves on my work table. They allow more vertical space and open underneath for my tools. I have my electronic cutting machines on top of the locker shelves.
Enjoyed painting the Gladiolus from your Line and Wash class this week, I also did some valentine theme ideas during this cold snowy week. Great time to do some painting 😊
I like the idea of going slow because that is the only speed I can go and then I have to take breaks in between, which slows things down even more. Especially with cleaning (which I can't do a lot of at one time). I love sitting and doing art. Sometimes time gets away on me and I'd be sitting there 3 hours, finishing a painting and not realizing the time went by so fast! :)
The best chapstick is not flavoured or medicated. Just pure butters and oils. You can buy the empty tubes and very easily make your own. My recipe is 35 gm beeswax, 15 gm shea butter, 35 gm liquid oils (such as jojoba, avocado sweet almond, olive, etc). Melt together in double boiler, pour into tubes. This recipe makes about 20 tubes. I used to sell it and my local health food store said it was the best she ever had. Majestic Mountain Sage in Utah does mail order and the tubes are $4 for a package of 10.
You hit the nail on the head about doing slower things for our brains. I keep saying this to my family. We are just too taken up with the fast paced, give me just a little piece of it. I'm going to go sign up for an audio book. May I ask if you find Audible a good source for that?
It is definitely a good resource if you want new, in demand books but honestly I use my local library's app and check them out for free with my library card. The downside is that you have to wait for popular books. I guess try your local library's app and a free trial of audible and see if it's worth paying for.
Good SatChat to everyone! Have you read “I Am Legend’? It was published in 1954. I just finished the book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven’t seen the movie but I hear it’s not near as good. Also, there’s a more modern version of the movie of Fahrenheit 451. I enjoyed both but the book is so great. It’s my favorite dystopian story because it involves books and it is hopeful. 😊
I loved Fahrenheit, too! I haven't seen the movie version, tho. I didn't know that "I am Legend" was based on a book when I saw the movie w/ WS but definitely want to go back and read it now! Whenever I read an incredible book that comes out and think it would be perfect for the big screen, I google to see if anyone has bought the film rights. I get all excited if they are but then totally chicken out of watching the film adaptation bc I don't want to be disappointed. 😅 I just knew that someone was going to make a film version of Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt (amazing, beautiful story that's both heartwarming and heartbreaking) and was so excited to see that it was going to happen, and that Sally Field was going to be cast in the main role! Looks like it will be made for Netflix. I will happily restart my Netflix subscription to watch! Along w/ a box or two of kleenex. 😭😭😭
Oh yes! I saw the version with charton Heston, omega man the movie was called. Then the version with will smith. I haven't read it. I am uneasy when an animal is a main character, I am too tender hearted when it comes to animals.
@@thefrugalcrafter From what I understand the Will Smith version makes the dog a bigger character than he actually is in the book. I don't think that story takes up more than a chapter. I remember being surprised since people have talked about the dog so much from the WS movie.
"It's tickles your brain." "What if I found a dead body?" "I think I have my chapstick addiction under control." "We have to fight against the norm..." I am cracking up. 😂
Great SatChat Lindsay! Zentangling helps getting you embedded in your zen-zone. Have a swell weekend! Will check out AlexM Maiden novel, thanks for the info!🎉💜🤩😘
Hi Lindsay, thanks for another Sat chat! Well I am confused. Don’t I see everything you post? I don’t understand algorithms. I love all your videos, and especially the long ones. The thing I don’t like is shorts! Anyway i love reading and painting and I usually combine listening to a book while painting. My painting sessions are still shortened as I’m still recovering from my broken arm. I did try watercolor canvas once and also hated it. I’m looking forward to that video. Have a great week!
The movie is good. It will lead you to other movies. I think the big problem with concentration is the undermining depression. It’s enough to effect our hope and determination but not enough to effect function. For 0:36 a lot of us. Even the miserable mean. I greave for us. Stay the light in the darkness. You rock.
Oh no! There was a 10% off. I will share a $5 off your total order discount link for phoenix website on tomorrow's video and they sell the paint set and canvas.
Fun fact from the size of the hips of the deer I can tel you it was a male, most likely died protecting its female and young during spring from wild predators and died in the process. So 100% circle of life
Forgot to say your classes are so amazing too I’m always learning so much and I’m feeling happy knowing I have this channel to learn from ur so talented have a lovely weekend 😊
Good morning Lindsay. Great Sat chat. Love your bangs. Do you often encounter live wildlife while walking your dog (lost her name)? My dog goes after anything that moves, lizards, rats, squirrels, rabbits, voles, opossums' and unfortunately often catches them. He has brought me a couple of half dead rats recently. He is only a 7.5lb Yorkie, that thinks he is a lot bigger than he is. I hope you have a great weekend, stay warm.
Ohhhhhh, I love your bangs and head scarf! That golden honey color looks so good on you. 🤩 Ok, back to Sat Chat, hehe!
That was my first thought, too! She looks more great than usual!
Thank you so much!

What a kind comment. Thank you, Phillip. Give my best to your wife.
Go Lindsay! Like that you're encouraging people to do longer form creative and learning things. Keep warm!
Thanks, it's nice to have the time to explore a project!
I loved your coloured pencil class, I learned tons! All of the fruit paintings are framed in my kitchen, and the chickadee is framed in my living room ❤

I love the Burts Bees lip balm. Soothes and doesn’t dry your lips out.
You are so much more upbeat this winter. Good for you...I'm looking forward to spring, too!! I, too, am a ChapStick addict too.
Thank you! I feel more upbeat this year!

Well said!
Thank you so much for your recommendation.😘 Can't wait for your next video.🤩
Thank you! I hope you have plenty of watercolor in stock!
You look so lovely today. You look lovely all the time but especially today! Have a good week. Be safe & warm.
Thank you so much!
I saw a whole deer skeleton in the woods once. It was fascinating!
It's often the fragrance in skin/lipcare products that's irritating. I now use pure vaseline or aquaphor (my favorite).
That’s a great idea about the vaseline and aquaphor!
Oh, and you're bangs are adorable!
Thanks 😊

Great video! Thank you for bringing up the subject of being productive and feeding our brains instead of wasting them! It is an issue that I have thought about and addressed since I retired 5 years ago. I try to spend my days doing art, reading and (least important to me 😂) housework. I deleted my Facebook and Twitter accounts 3 years ago and only watch book and art videos on UA-cam and instagram. It sounds like you have a great routine!
You look so beautiful in this Video I love your energy your style and always you make me laugh and motivate me love Sat chat ❤
I’m glad you enjoy it!

You’ll have to catch the next sale! It's worth it (even at $35!) But I know whst you mean, I hate to miss a deal!
Lindsay - absolutely love your videos/sat chats - you sparkle & make me smile - Thank you. Deer skeleton would be interesting!
Thanks, that's so kind of you!
Both completed projects look great, look forward to watching those videos.
Thanks so much!

So pretty with the bangs, not that you're not always pretty. The bangs just make you look happy and bright. Also, the yellow scarf makes you look like s7mmertime. It's very nice to cheer us up on these dull days.
Thanks so much, I’m happy with how they turned out!
Hi lindsay, great SatChat. We need to get into the mindset that its ok for us to allow ourselves to sit for longer periods and do/ watch the things that we enjoy x
We do!
That's so interesting! It's use it or lose it with out brains and body!
Love your new painting and pencil sketch they are both beautiful.. Thanks for the chat.
You’re welcome! It’s nice to have the space to chat and get some painting done!
Yep and you have awesome space to do it!! I have a closet.. LOL🤣
I'm finishing the last row of the border on my queen-size crochet afghan. Long project almost completed as I listened. Have a great day, Lindsay.
Beautiful!
We are thankful for you too ❤ And I’m very curious for your upcoming videos. 😊
You’re welcome! I’m working on some really fun stuff.
You are so inspiring. Love your hair band today, look so pretty today! You are so hard working, love how you are always juggling to make things work with art and a balanced work/family/health life, it surely shows - very inspiring! Have a great week.
Thanks, you are so kind!
Thanks for sharing!! I have a stubborn lip nine that showed up 2 years ago. I'll hit it with the balm!
The cathedral is pronounced like the city of St. Louis. I live close to New Orleans and we had about 8” of snow. It was beautiful, the temps were just below freezing; we are not near as cold as you.
Thanks!
Have fun!
That's quite the reading list!
I discovered watercolor canvas last summer. Love it!!! Isn't it fun?
It really is!
It's funny as you talk about how we don't do large projects anymore, I'm in the ending stages of what is probably a 25 hour painting. It's by far the longest art piece I've ever done. I'm normally doing 3hr pieces and maybe up to 10, for things that are a little extra.
Wow! I'd love to see it!
Fun video. I am loving audio books, which allow me to move around. Since I sit for some of my job and I sit (or at least don't walk) for my art, I love audio books, which allow me to move, do other things, and get some reading in after a long pause. Love my Saturday routine of working out & watching your video. Thanks!
Love that!
ProTaskination - love it! 😄💕
That is so funny! "ProTaskination" is genius! I also like the yes canvas but oddly I never tried it with watercolor.
Great paintings, read !!
Yes!
Happy Sat Chat! I love your hair! At first I thought maybe you dyed it a more golden yellow. A great way to change your hair color without actually dying it! ❤
I noticed that lip balms make my lips more dry as well, so sad. My favorite is Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm in Daisy. It’s dark enough to just use as a lip stick for me. (I’m ghost pale though. 😅)
The deer skeleton sounds fascinating!
Sigh
Anyways, looking forward to your videos next week! The watercolor panels make me curious and remind me that I still have watercolor ground I should use before it goes bad.
Yes, use it or lose it!
Oh my gosh I love the painting on canvas and the colored pencil drawing as well! Both are very beautiful!
I'm glad you liked them!
Thank you! I'll read that book next, my husband has it!
you look so cute today! and winter in maine means being freeze dried, I like like blistex best and the little hannafords in the north brewer shopping plaza carries it. also usining your facial misterizer on you lips is helpful.have a great week,
:)
Thanks for the tip!
Your hair looks very cute in that style. Love the scarf!
Thank you, I'm happy with how they turned out!
Love your bangs Lindsay, suits you 👍. Thank you for a great Satchat 🙂
Thank you!! 😊
I love James Patterson’s books. Especially the ones with detective Alex Cross. I start reading one and I can’t put it down! It’s been a really cold January in Illinois too. Last week it was below zero all week. I never left my house! Excited about the watercolor canvas. Gotta check that out!
It sounds like you had a really cozy week!
They are already up to $36 on US Amazon.
Still a bargain for the quality!
Love your bangs, very flattering!
Thank you! I'm happy with them!
Again coocking meal and while waiting I am watching my fav weekly video :) I have to say I sometimes watch other videos and love watching reviews because I learn so much about pigments and materials, but sat chat is a must for me. If I miss it my weekend is not right :)
You're the best!
This will be on UA-cam on Monday:)
I love Ray Bradbury. Cat's Cradle is my favorite book of his ever!
Cats Cradle is by Kurt Vonnegut, another wonderful writer. Now I’m ready to read both books again!
That's funny because I get the two confused all the time!
Me too apparently :)
I love waking up on Saturday and opening Sat chat. Have you ever read Michaelides’ "The Maidens? " if I remember correctly, I liked it better than “The Silent Patient.“ Next on my list is “The Fury."
Also, I agree that "slow" hobbies are the way to go. I think it gives us time for our brains to rest from what is going on around us. I really am so much more content when I spend time on my art or reading or walking in the woods. Thank you for another thoughtful video.
Yes! The maidens was so good! I listened to it last week 😆 🤣 😂 then I check out the fury!
Good to know, I'll try to find some!
I was just going to ask you if you took a picture of the deer to draw it and you did! YAY!
Yup!
Loving the scarf!!!! Hey Sat Chatters!!!
Thanks! I want to try some cute scarf techniques but it hard to get them to stay on my head!
Sitting here topping off my watercolor half pans and listening to Sat Chat. Thanks for the chapstick update - every pocketbook had one😂
Yup, it's like visa, don't leave home without it!
@@thefrugalcrafter I use Nivea lip balm I have three lots my endometriosis medication makes my lips dry I use that brand super great I always have my lip balm in my handbag
I was going to say you should paint the deer...i would love to see that. Not many tutorials like that especially with watercolor
That is a great idea!
Love Sat Chat🥰
Thanks 😊
I agree! I must do.more reading. Once i get my new glasses. I must paint more! Too. I used to.enjoy it. Thanks! I enjoy satchats. Gets me motivated again.. yes! Work our brains. Yoga, exercise. Swim. Dream! 😅
💗
I agree! It's always good to challenge ourselves.
Lol, I'll add it to is honey-do list!
❤
you and husband.
I hope they work well. Phoenix make products for many companies so these might be the same.
GM Lindsay , I got my ‘ Lightwish ‘ 2025 calendar , can’t wait to try it out , love your hair today , I recently cut some bangs and happy with the results , have a great weekend and stay warm , I’m also going to check out your book recommendations 😊
Thanks! I figured if I didn't like them I could push them back with the rest of my hair. Change is fun!
Enjoyed, as always.
Glad to hear it!
TFS 💕
I'm guilty of it too! It's hard to focus on one thing at a time.
Funny thing is, I am going to be in the process of rearranging my art area and my apartment in general! We think alike! LOL! Middle of Winter is a good time to do cleaning and rearranging though.
I’m so glad it’s not just me! 😄
It will be spring soon!
Cute hair with the scarf!❤
Thanks!
I don't care to be "boxed in" either. I use locker shelves on my work table. They allow more vertical space and open underneath for my tools. I have my electronic cutting machines on top of the locker shelves.
I'm a big fan of vertical space, too!
Enjoyed painting the Gladiolus from your Line and Wash class this week, I also did some valentine theme ideas during this cold snowy week. Great time to do some painting 😊
Sounds like you had a productive week!
It's the best feeling, isn't it? Flow state!
I love making my own stuff, I’ll have to try that!
I like your hair. You never look tired 😎
Oh thank you!
I watched that card making video 5 times, thinking it was my phone which had a problem 😂
I am sorry for the hassle, it was so aggravating.
What about supplies on a pull out cart under your desk?
Ha! I already have oft used supplies there. 😆 🤣 😂
My husband often says to me "I bet no one has ever said that sentence before." LOL 😆
My grandmother and mother are from New Orleons. We are Haitian Creole.
Wonderful!
Great SatChat Lindsay! Zentangling helps getting you embedded in your zen-zone. Have a swell weekend! Will check out AlexM Maiden novel, thanks for the info!🎉💜🤩😘
You too, have a great weekend!
happy sat chat
Same to you
Hi Lindsay, thanks for another Sat chat!
It’s nice to hear you enjoy the longer videos!
The movie is good. It will lead you to other movies. I think the big problem with concentration is the undermining depression. It’s enough to effect our hope and determination but not enough to effect function. For 0:36 a lot of us. Even the miserable mean. I greave for us. Stay the light in the darkness. You rock.
I agree, I don't feel great after I've been scrolling.

Unfortunately no coupon for the watercolor pallette on Amazon and that is 3 hours from your video posting.
Oh no! There was a 10% off. I will share a $5 off your total order discount link for phoenix website on tomorrow's video and they sell the paint set and canvas.
"I've got my Chaptstick addiction under control - ha HA!" 😂😆😄 I love your Lindsay-isms, hehe.
😆 🤣 😂
I loved Fahrenheit 451. The movie is also wonderful.
Thanks!
Fun fact from the size of the hips of the deer I can tel you it was a male, most likely died protecting its female and young during spring from wild predators and died in the process. So 100% circle of life
Amazing painting… I also like coloured pencil art I’m doing lots of art this weekend and happy weekend to you Lindsay ty for your amazing channel 🙂🙂👍
Forgot to say your classes are so amazing too I’m always learning so much and I’m feeling happy knowing I have this channel to learn from ur so talented have a lovely weekend 😊
Have fun!
Mostly deer and squirrels and penny always wants to chase them! I'm pretty sure I saw a moose print yesterday tho!
