@SmokersStaircase I like what you say. After finding out what George Lucas's version of the sequel trilogy was going to be about. I think It is way better than what Disney Lucas films talk put out. Spokennoise it is mentioned in the book Star Wars archives.
I abhor the sequel trilogy films and I consider the sequel trilogy films to be non-canon, but I still respect the opinions of people that like the sequel trilogy films. George's original vision for the sequel trilogy involved an enemy that was now less imposing and using subterfuge, a story that explored more ancient mysteries and old Jedi lore rather than yet another Empire versus Rebels story. Disney just copied the original trilogy but with worse writing and worse acting. It's kinda crazy how much more soul George's original version of the sequel trilogy has. It genuinely saddens me that we'll never see George's fascinating original vision for the sequel trilogy.
I like this movie I enjoyed it in the theater I've seen all the Star Wars movies in the theaters since 77 but anyways there are some good moments in this movie
Don't worry, as much as some of us hate this trilogy, your reaction and your opinion, whatever it is will still be more entertaining than the actual movies. Usually non Jedi don't use Lightsabers because they are obviously dangerous to use. On the other hand, pressing a button is possible to anyone who has fingers. As for Carrie Fisher's voice, she was doing everything from smoking to drugs and alcohol... That ultimately killed her in 2016 a few weeks before Rogue One came out (and she had finished filming Ep8) Skellig Island near Scotland was the location you are looking for at the end. Your qualification of Finn being "Golden Retriever" totally marks one of the grievances we have with these movies. They took a black actor, who is an awesome guy on a regular basis, gave him a secondary role (China doesn't want blacks in primary roles) and treated his role like he was that of a dog or a chimp. Not only it is a waste of material, a huge missed opportunity but it is quite condescending and racist as well. You didn't mean bad, we know but if you came up with the qualification, that means THEY failed at character development and story telling despite some nicely nailed details here and there...
Well done recognising Gwendoline, but you missed the stormtrooper that removed the restraints and left the cell with the door open..... and dropped his weapon was none other than Daniel Craig.
I have watched all the Star Wars films at release in the cinema. Some are better than others, but I enjoyed all of them and have watched them multiple times. 5 is a favourite, and 8 would be the least favourite. But in all rankings, there has to be a winner and a loser.

You don't understand why they get so much hate? They buy the biggest movie franchise ever, decide to make a new trilogy, and then don't have any sort of plan for the trilogy. It's literally made up as they went, and it shows.
@@moabman6803 George Lucas made it up as the OT went on as well. The problem isn't that there wasn't a plan, but the lack of a cohesive vision. You can tell JJ and Rian had way different views of what Star Wars is.
@chefkochkawasaki4127 George had a rough outline of all six movies. Interestingly JJ had no idea what to do after episode 8 and called George for advice. George kind of hung up on him.
This movie DELIVERED! There was more pressure than probably any sequel ever but it was s great time. The new characters, especially Rey, were great and likeable. And the connections to the originals were well done. I'm a Star wars OG and this is one of my favorites
What always cracks me up about the sequel haters is how they whine about the fighting, first it's that they hate that the fighting is not as good as the prequel lightsaber fighting, and than it's that Rey automatically knows how to use a lightsaber even though she fights like a beginner
quokka, at 31 min, we find out his name is ben, han only met ben for like part of the day that the first movie took place on, luke knew him his whole life, he was luke's mentor, so i dont' think han is ben's father, han wouldn't name his son after someone he didn't know, at the end of return of the jedi, after luke tells leia that they are related, she is sad, why? unless something happened between them at the end of the empire strikes back, and now she has to do something with what is her belly. and han asked her what was wrong and she blatantly said, i can't tell you, what if she was pregnant and she knew it was luke's, and she didn't want to tell either of them , she could have lied and told han that ben was hers and han's not her's and lukes' and Rey says her parents abandonded her on jakku, she had a hoth flight helmet, who do we know that flew a ship on hoth?
The problem me and so many other people have with the sequels is Rey literally couldn't make any mistakes, she immediately knew how to fly the FALCON of all ships when she never flew that ship, she immediately could use force powers to their maximum strength, she trashed Kylo Ren when he's trained and she's not (the injury excuse can me made but still), she completely resisted mind control. This movie is also a carbon-copy of ANH. Same plot, same situation, same everything, except Luke was very weak and he didn't actually use any force powers, he just felt it. Rey had zero training whatsoever and suddenly was able to do everything. I'll never forgive them for how they killed off Han. It genuinely pisses me off, like, Han was on so many adventures, and THIS is how he dies? Just falls off a damn ledge into a seemingly endless void? I don't care that he wanted to work on other stuff and not Star Wars, but still. Write his death better. Even Chewie was pissed. It's not wise to upset a wookie. That being said, this movie is the one ST movie I can sit through. The OG characters and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren carry this movie. The music does too.
quokka, at 26 min, if rey was never trained, how would she know that jedi can trick people into doing what they want using their mind, unless was taught at a young age, by someone she knew...
I thought episode VII was a little too derivative - way too much like episode IV. Other than that, I really liked this movie. The other two movies didn't do so well, with me. Without spoilers, my thoughts on the next two movies are: Episode VIII I thought was a hot mess Episode IX felt like it attempted to tell too many stories but edited in a way that it failed to do so. Either way, I love your reactions and can't wait to see your take on the rest of the trilogy!
rey when they get back at 36 min, why wouldn't chewie hug leia, he knows her and han, rey never met leia, why would she hug her? or has she met her?...
Even though I abhor the sequel trilogy and consider it to be non-canon, I respect the opinions of people that like the sequel trilogy because I know what it feels like to be on the receiving end of disrespectful Star Wars fans because I am the biggest fan of the prequel trilogy in the world.
I love this movie. I don't care what people say. It's a blast. Glad to see you enjoyed it. But also, makes me think of how the prequels were so hated for so many years. Star Wars "fans" are like that. Now they love them.
Buddy, the same thing will never happen with the ST. This is better than 8 and 9 though, but that's not saying much. The ST is objectively the worst of the trilogy of trilogies and that will not change. The PT situation was not the same and it never will be so stop trying to use that as an excuse for the ST.
@ARandomInternetUser08 yeah, I don't see that as an impossibility, but the way people talked about the prequels back then, it was worse that it's been now. So I don't know. Also, I don't see how that's an excuse for anything.
@@IamXhedo everybody says the same thing will happen to the ST at some point, that at some point they'll be loved. That just will not happen, and if it does, then they'll quickly change their minds. Also, the people that like the ST are the exact same type of people that are causing Disney to release garbage shows.
People might not remember this but when The Force Awakens came out it was almost universally loved. It was with The Last Jedi that started the negativity relating to the sequel trilogy. I personally found the plot of TFA too much like ANH and it is one of the reasons that I actually like The Last Jedi much more. I won't give any spoilers but it attempted to do what KOTOR 2 did much better in video game form.
Even though I don’t like this trilogy and it is not canon (in my opinion). I’m glad you’re reacting to it. Far too many people just listen to the negative comments and don’t do them.
@@ToxicTon Not in my opinion. The same way I don’t consider the Harry Potter films canon, too much was changed from the source material and characters were completely and unnecessarily butchered to the point where they are unrecognisable.
The Force Awakens is GREAT and I don’t think anyone disputes it. TLJ is incredibly divisive and TROS is widely regarded as terrible. As a newbie to Star Wars, you’ll probably love TLJ.
I am a sequel hater, but I will say that I liked this movie, for the most part it was very well done. However, the next 2 movies in my opinion are what ruins the sequels for me

This is basically a remake of Episode 4 (wildly inferior imho). George Lucas delivered his writings and notes on Episodes 7-9 to the directors & producers but they ignored it all and decided to flaunt their own ego's in order to make their own marks on the franchise.
Horrible retcons littered throughout the movie there’s absolutely no debating that but it is funny that it’s easily the best in the sequel trilogy 😂😂 Star Wars had been a franchise for 30+ years with good lore being consistently produced before the decision to say all of it “didn’t happen” because Disney thought they can do better and proved they couldn’t. No Solo twins, no leia and Han marriage, no Luke and Mara marriage, Luke has complete character flip from not only expanded lore but from original trilogy as well.
these SEQUAL movies lacked the fun and adventure of the other six and there WAS NO romance or Love story , they should have had Rey & Poe or Kylo/Rey Flirt/Kiss and fall in Love they looked like a traditional fun couple together and would have helped the story , instead she just brooding and cold and loveless not a fan of Finn he was kind of weak and a coward maybe he gets a woman of his own in next movie
RGe main reason why many hyr yjr ;sdy to;pgy is thry fon'y giull inderstand that is is not the End of Star Wars movies, just the Skywalker Saga. I know if they undertood that thseslast episodes would more then likely be liked a lot more.
This one isn't too bad. The main issue is that after a while you realize that it's more or less a copy of the first Star Wars film. I actually think that the three films wouldn't have been as bad if they didn't have the original characters in them.
Yes! It IS SUPPOSED to be difficult to use a Lightsaber. The reason people don't like the sequel Trilogy is it doesn't respect the way things are supposed to work in STAR WARS. Because of poor writing. Because they ripped off so much of the stories from the Original Trilogy. No no your original reaction was correct. How can she mind trick him? She hasn't been trained. And the whole Maybe she is just really powerful idea... Anakin Skywalker was the most force potential of anyone ever before or since and even he needed to be trained. And yes if it seems like they have done plans like this before... It's because they have. They ripped off so so much. SMH And right... Why does he wear the mask? Because he wants so so badly to be Vader and he's not. Why even put it on if you're going to take it off as soon as Rey says she doesn't like his mask. SMH. Such a fraud.
And furthermore yes, she was untrained and still beat Kylo Renn. SMH. I don't care if he was injured by Chewy's bowcaster. DARTH VADER would NEVER have allowed himself to get his butt handed to him by a girl who has never been trained or used a Lightsaber before. It would never happen. Kylo Renn was a piss poor replacement for Vader. So I mean really... Once Force Awakens was over who ever needed to be afraid. Of Kylo Renn? Poe.mmade light of him in the first scene and another dab happened. He ruined his mystique by removing his mask and us finding out who he was in this first movie... And Rey BEAT HIM so really... Where is the threat. Kylo Renn? What a joke. We haven't even got to the crap in the next 2 films.

I’ve been a Star Wars fan for as long as I can remember lol and even though I disliked the sequel trilogy and was disappointed many times by it I still enjoyed this movie and own all 3 of them 😂
Spokennoise I extremely hate the sequel trilogy, and I'll never watch It again.
@@louiedavis4909 I mean if that’s how you feel I’m not disputing it. I still think they’re bad, but if some people like them I’m not gonna be mad about it. I enjoyed some things about them, but overall they are bad imo. Some people have to face the fact though that there is a whole generation who grew up with these movies and thinks they are good and that is ok. Even if I think the direction Star Wars has gone in is horrible I’d never gatekeep what does or doesn’t make someone a fan even if they like the new stuff. I respect the standpoint though and understand why you wouldn’t rewatch them.
@@louiedavis4909 George Lucas's version is literally even worse.
I like this movie I enjoyed it in the theater I've seen all the Star Wars movies in the theaters since 77 but anyways there are some good moments in this movie
Been a fan a long time, and Adam Driver (🥵) plays one of my favorite characters in all of Star Wars. Looking forward to the rest of your reactions! 💖
That is the lightsaber that Luke lost when he lost his hand...in Bespin's Cloud City. Where it fell.
So...yeah, how did she get it again??
All the characters from the Original Trilogy are played by the same actors in this trilogy.
That ultimately killed her in 2016 a few weeks before Rogue One came out (and she had finished filming Ep8)
Skellig Island near Scotland was the location you are looking for at the end.
Well done recognising Gwendoline, but you missed the stormtrooper that removed the restraints and left the cell with the door open..... and dropped his weapon was none other than Daniel Craig.
quokka, you didn't show much of the beginning when Rey is living on jaccu, there are clues in those scenes for who her parents are
This is basically A new Frame buy Frame
I have watched all the Star Wars films at release in the cinema. Some are better than others, but I enjoyed all of them and have watched them multiple times. 5 is a favourite, and 8 would be the least favourite. But in all rankings, there has to be a winner and a loser.
26:50 that stormtrooper was played by James Bond/Daniel Craig. Also Prince Harry and William are there somewhere.
I'm enjoying these btw, it's like I'm watching movies with you
Love your reaction ❤
im very happy to see you getting to the sequels. despite how weirdly controversial they are for fans (i'll never understand the hate, i love them) they play a bigger role in allowing the star wars timeline and lore to expand. I hope you enjoy!

quokka, at 2036, when poe appears, i think he is a clone, they said they know about clones, and maybe leia has a clone of her best pilot, spy, in case he gets killed
I love the sequels, I'll never understand why they get so much hate. All the movies have flaws but they are pretty good. In case you're still wondering that end scene was filmed in Ireland
They get hate probably because they destroy and contradict the previous movies
there are many reasons, this was an ok start that could have gone somewhere but the rest is a mess that make little sense that turned Luke into a joke and broke fans hearts
Привет! Хорошая реакция)) Рад что ты снова продолжила смотреть после тишины в несколько недель))
this is the only sequel i dont mind
I completely agree with you. For all of its flaws, The Force Awakens is the only salvageable film in the sequel trilogy in my opinion.
Great reaction. Thanks.
Looks like I got a new channel to keep up with. let's get this train rollen
Kylo Ren was bleeding because Chewie shot him with his massive blaster. That's why he lost the fight as well
quokka, at 26 min, if rey was never trained, how would she know that jedi can trick people into doing what they want using their mind, unless was taught at a young age, by someone she knew...
Please keep watching Star Wars and don’t get wrapped up in canon and lore. Great reaction!👍🏾
Nice reaction!!
I thought episode VII was a little too derivative - way too much like episode IV. Other than that, I really liked this movie. The other two movies didn't do so well, with me. Without spoilers, my thoughts on the next two movies are:
Episode VIII I thought was a hot mess
Episode IX felt like it attempted to tell too many stories but edited in a way that it failed to do so.
Either way, I love your reactions and can't wait to see your take on the rest of the trilogy!
rey when they get back at 36 min, why wouldn't chewie hug leia, he knows her and han, rey never met leia, why would she hug her? or has she met her?...
A lot of people who hate this movie have an agenda which involves hating movies with strong female characters.
This movie i remember when i watched, alright i thought it was. Worse it got from here i'm sad to say
I enjoyed this one, 8 and 9 were not 'good' experiences for me though
@ARandomInternetUser08 oh ok, I see where you stand. So, sure, buddy.
I don't understand all the hate for this series. They're not the best, but they're a lot better than some of the toxic fandom think.
Your English is pretty good, keep practising
Even though I don’t like this trilogy and it is not canon (in my opinion). I’m glad you’re reacting to it. Far too many people just listen to the negative comments and don’t do them.
I agree with this trilogy not being that great, but it is very much canon. I do love TLJ tho

ua-cam.com/video/1rHyf0FBvt4/v-deo.html
Not retcon at all
these SEQUAL movies lacked the fun and adventure of the other six and there WAS NO romance or Love story , they should have had Rey & Poe or Kylo/Rey Flirt/Kiss and fall in Love they looked like a traditional fun couple together and would have helped the story , instead she just brooding and cold and loveless not a fan of Finn he was kind of weak and a coward maybe he gets a woman of his own in next movie
RGe main reason why many hyr yjr ;sdy to;pgy is thry fon'y giull inderstand that is is not the End of Star Wars movies, just the Skywalker Saga. I know if they undertood that thseslast episodes would more then likely be liked a lot more.
This one is quite good imo... sadly, ep. 8 is nothing but horrible... let's hope that you can enjoy it at least.
This one isn't too bad. The main issue is that after a while you realize that it's more or less a copy of the first Star Wars film.
I actually think that the three films wouldn't have been as bad if they didn't have the original characters in them.
Even if they didn't have the original characters in them, it's still an inferior copy of a film that came out 38 years before it did.
SMH
And right...
