I always said that women shouldn’t strictly buy men’s clothes when there’s a bunch of women’s clothes that are made to look masculine and they’ll fit way better.
Men buy women’s jeans all the time because of more size and elasticity variation to achieve certain looks. I have heard them publicize it so many times.
@@madeyoulooks agreed! I have always had a more athletic shape and have struggled for years with women's clothes even if they are supposed to have a masc look. There's no point in having hip cutouts in slacks or extra give for breasts when you have neither in the first place 🤷🏾♀️ fast forward years later I had the AHA! Moment when I put on my 12 year old son's clothes. All of a sudden I didn't have to tailor everything 😃 More room for arms and legs, less gapping in hips and breasts 👍🏾
True but sometimes, There aren’t a lot of women’s clothes that look like men’s. What hard is finding clothes that have your style and that fit you well. If you do find men styled women’s clothes, (from my experience) they’ve always ended being very expensive.
@@brochronicles but with that my question is would it be comfortable though? Like is the balls area. Because I wear women jeans but I do own guy sweats (they're so much thicker and comfy!), and one pair of cargo pants. I can feel the difference in my jeans to my cargo pants, I mean it's not crazy but there is a bit more space and the zipper is super long... but if a guy wears women jeans how does it for them with having the "pouch" in the crotch area? Just curious...
I appreciate having found this channel so much, there are so many channels for men's fashion and for femme girls... But it's so hard to find "masc" fashion advice for women... Same thing goes for hair, self care, lifestyle... I've been learning from men, because I have no other choice 👀 you give me hope 🥺👏
We def need a team of women who are masc help with discussing all of these topics. Because we are women there are certain things we need to learn only from other women.
u made so many good points!! especially the one about having a variety of pants! i usually only wear high waisted pants but recently i started buying "regular" waist chinos and was surprised at how well they fit and felt, don't be afraid to switch it up yall (i promise everyone will still be able to tell you're gay)
yes get on that colour theory! I personally like split complimentary colours myself. my mum would always criticize my clothing and I'm realizing now...she's just a matchy matchy person. like I was wearing a red dress with a purple shawl to a wedding and my mum was like those don't go together and I was like??? and then I realized she just thinks colours that are the same colour go together.
The comment about skinny jeans making your feet look big gives me SO MUCH INSIGHT into why I have a hard time not feeling weird wearing certain types of shoes
Color, texture, and prints are the foundation of my personal wardrobe. I've had people look at me like I'm crazy for certain combos I've put together lol I would say that matchy matchy is generational and regional. I've noticed living/traveling around the states that people in the South & Midwest in certain age ranges really lean into head to toe matches. I enjoy seeing people when they know they look good in their fit no matter what nobody says about it❤️
you just made me remember in school how the girls would match their shirt, purse, earrings lol and I'm from louisiana. I remember one girl who always did it, she was the matching queen, hope she is still matching
really needed that skinny jeans tip. also gonna put out in to the universe you creating a coffee table lookbook with pictures and your styling advice included. you truly doin the lorde's work 🙏🏿
ive never heard this spoken aloud but all of it needed to be said badly! there are so many beautiful ways to rock your own personal masculinity!! thank you jade xx
It’s taken my a long time to feel comfortable in anything that’s not skinny jeans the one thing tho that I can’t ever ever leave behind is high waisted pants, it just makes me feel comfortable, it supports my belly, my hips, makes me feel like I’m being held and I’m okay with it.
On the suit topic on a budget: I feel like you're better off thrifting a cheap suit and getting it tailored well, than buying an expensive suit and not have it tailored.
ive been advocating for people (both men and women cuz men def dont know how to wear a suit properly either), to learn about how a suit should properly fit. since you've worked in this sector, would you mind doing a video on it? no pressure, please and thank you ❤️
Do you have tips on hairstyles? I’ve done cornrows, box braids, relaxer and recently shaved my head and can’t really figure out what look works best for me
I love this video Jade! The monochromatic look is my favorite. It just evelates the look and I love a woman in a well tailored suit. Its so sexy. Haha! Ugh the unnecessary bowtie irks me to no end. Oooh could you do a semi/ formal look? Proper fit?
i'm very much a skirt and blouse sorta gal and i have no interest in looking masculine, but i stayed for the entire video and subscribed because the way you talk about style is so interesting! The fact that you are gorgeous doesn't hurt either lmao
Legend says that whenever you say “skinny jeans” one direction era Harry styles will appear and strangle you with skinny jeans while throwing Chelsea boots at you
I feel the skinny jeans one but with me being over 6’0 and being thicker I’m a little insecure from the waist down. I don’t want to make myself looking wider/bigger
if you’re don’t for it. you should try a high waisted skinny jean or high waisted straight leg pant. they make your legs look longer and IMO make you look super proportionate
now this channel has been active a short while, i think you should post a fashion related video on your og channel, in case people haven’t heard of or checked on this one, esp since you post so much here and these fools are missin out on your shine!!
I’ve also stepped out of my comfort zone and have started buying more loose rolled up sleeve, button up, linen like women’s tops. Instead of always men’s shirts lol
I'm considered more fem but those suits look good. And my only pair of jeans is some men's work pants that I got when I worked in demolition. Maybe my style is changing?
I feel called out about the skinny jeans thing. lol I wear the same color, same size, by the same brand every day because the brand I buy from has pants in my size.
I feel like my style has become more monochromatic throughout my twenties. I love blue and especially navy blues. I've definitely enjoyed playing with silhouette recently and having the confidence to rock different silhouettes.
1- Too matchy matchey. I agree. 2- men’s suits, bad fit. Agree if it fits really badly 3- Skinny jeans don’t go with everything. I don’t like skinny jeans that are too tight nor do I like pants that are way too baggy & please don’t do what some boys do & have your underwear & but showing coz your pants are falling down 🤦 4- Hats don’t go with every outfit. I hope that’s wrong because I have alopecia & ALWAYS wear a hat or scarf to cover my bald head I’m afraid my hats often just look wrong but what can I do🤷♀️?! 5- The unnecessary bow tie I agree to me if it’s unnecessary that means it doesn’t look good & I hate ties but I don’t hate bow ties I just dress for comport these days literally I don’t care how I look as long as it feels good
your bowtie outfit was cute though.... i liked that the tie was white so it blended in with the shirt. best bowtie in the vid, quite honestly. (sometimes those bowties look so dang awkward!!! i think people need to see if it works for THEM, not just do it arbitrarily. like hair. come on guys, lets just do what looks good, yeah?) but i really do love your current hair, cute as you were with the longer, and hats, etc.

Referring to the first point. For me personally I feel this deep sense of fear if my clothes don't match. It's more of a comfort thing than anything else and that's also why I stick mostly to black as a comfort colour. I've been trying to break out of that and be more confident in other colours and it has been happening but I know not feeling the need to match would take more work.
