Wow, that breakfast - mon dieu! Great report, TBD. Like the elegant little touches here and there - color scheme, cutlery, et. That Gulf Air 787 was beautiiful, btw. Take care, sir.
Thanks so much! Yeah, it’s the little things that really matter. Would love to get Gulf air on again, was fairly limited interest in them before on the channel but may try a longer vlog/insight next time 😃
Another great trip report. Looks like Air France business class is spot on for a short flight with a comfortable cabin and blocked seat next to you. Breakfast looked good too. Shame you didn't have lounge access but having The View to yourself is the next best thing in my opinion!
Hello, great review! There used to be a skyteam lounge at T4 but it unfortunately closed. Not sure why to be honest since there are many skyteam airlines flying from terminal 4. Hopefully they will bring it back in the future.
Another great review! Now I’m really bummed with the a/c downgrade from A220 to E190…😢. I probably would not even get Champagne since it’s under HOP operation instead of AF when I booked originally…
Aghh yeah, that’s annoying! It’s still not a bad way to go but as you say, I do wonder what the service roll out will be like under the different name…
The only significant advantage on flying business class with European Airlines is having access to the lounge. Their seats are just ordinary economy class seats, so very little advantage there. If the ticket does not even include access to the lounge, if I were you, I would have felt being CONNED into buying this so-called business class ticket. No lounge, and just an economy class seat.
Fair comment. This for me was however part of a connecting long haul flight so very much worth it in that regard. You’re right though, if it was just the short haul without lounge access then it’s not massively worth it. Benefits would include priority check in, priority boarding, seated at the front of cabin, inclusive food and alcoholic drinks and better onboard service etc. The European short haul business class experience does indeed leave a lot to be desired when compared to much of the rest of the world however…
I booked Air France Business from Paris to London. The major plus for me was the significantly larger baggage allowance. I'll have 30kgs of baggage which is way over the 12kg economy allowance. Business class allows 30kgs. To buy a business ticket was about £50 more than paying for the extra baggage. So for me, £50 for priority boarding, extra baggage, lounge access, and food and drink on the aircraft is a no brainer.
In my experience it is worth as a foreigner to speak French (if you can) when you are flying either AirFrance. It always gives you a bonus like a additional drink - even in Economy class 🥳

Thank you! Yeah I’d say so, especially one of those twins, just ideal. Would be great to get up there on a nice sunny day, perhaps next time 😃

Thank you! So odd they got rid of it, a Covid era thing perhaps? Odd it hasn’t come back mind…
Love the tip about the roof top ...
Glad it was useful! 😃

Very good point! I dropped in a couple of phrases on my second flight with them, went down well! 😃
