Product Review P0136 - Parent Grip Door Knob Cover (Safety 1st)

These plastic door know covers are pretty good at making it difficult for small hands, specifically small 2yr old toddler hands from opening spherical door knobs. This will prevent them from opening doors they shouldn't like pantry doors, closets etc. The one downside is that one you install them they're a bit difficult to uninstall and require a flat head screwdriver. In the video the first few times we tried it our toddler was successful in defeating the cover and opening the door. We later found out it wasn't due to the cover, but that the door knob latch and the striker plate in the door frame weren't aligned so all you had to do was pull the door knob. You didn't even need to turn the knob. We fixed the issue and now the knob cover works!

Yeah removing it needed some effort and a screwdriver. It's not just childproof it's grown-up proof.

So far the worst part of these is getting the two halves apart before even installing them and that’s the one thing you didn’t show 😂 I cannot get it open!

Yeah, pulling them apart required me using a flat head screwdriver. At times I was afraid I would shatter or break it.
