I wish LEGO would re-visit Rebels. It has some great content in it that could fit well with today’s building techniques. Doubt we will though. But I can hope
With the writers and actors strike there will be little new content and Rebels fan base has exploded since the time of these sets. If the Ahsoka Rebels based sets sell well I can see some making a come back. The Gozanti is easy money with it crossing into the Mandalorian so prominently as well.
As someone who’s been watching since around 2017, I can really say that the Editing and quality has def taken many steps up since then - especially since the move in. Keep up the amazing work!
Danm… it kinda hurts to hear your opening statement, you guys grew up with clone wars but myself and a few others grew up with rebels. I liked rebels from the start, and never had a problem with Ezra or the tone of the show. Sure it had its problems but I watched with my dad so call me sentimental but that show will always have a special place in my heart.
The A wing actually had a very well intergrated Spring loaded shooter function where you can pull the entire middle section minus the cockpit backwards to shoot the spring loaded shooter one by one. It was so well hidden that I didn’t know it was there.
Came here to say this! Loved the video but this was a big miss on the top-slot set. Building that mechanism made for an excellent "aha!" moment when it came together, and firing it is really satisfying. A few years ago I bought and built every A-Wing that Lego has made (UCS and polybags included), and this one was by far the most satisfying to build.
I am rewatching rebels again and I’m already on season two and it’s just as good as the first time, and I’m exited to see all of the sets MandR got to review! I love the vids and can’t wait for more!!
Man back in the day I’ve always looked at that AT-DP set and thought LEGO nailed the look completely. Now owning it, I believe it’s LEGO best two legged walker build.
If Lego ever makes another star destroyer, they should make the Chimaera, otherwise known as Grand Admiral Thrawn's star destroyer. If it is a UCS it whould include Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Ezra season 3-4 outfit, if it would be a play set it would include Grand Admiral Thrawn, Ezra season 3-4 outfit, two 2022 Stormtroopers, Death Trooper Commander, a Death Trooper, and the Emperor in his Disguise from season 4.
I don’t know about anyone else but this era of Lego is really magical to me. I was a Rebels fan at the time (but I was also really invested in Ninjago) so I didn’t purchase many of the sets, but I just have fond memories and feelings of Lego awesomeness of this time. Like I was getting tons of Lego catalogs and prices weren’t as outrageous as they are now. Things were just better with Lego then.
Two cool rebels sets that should’ve happened were either the mining guild tie fighter or the rebels starfighter (the one Sabine painted). Also a rebels hondo and maul would’ve been cool too.
At this point, Alan is one of the few beautifully honest, non biased youtubers, and i think he should be deeply respected. He produces videos that not only teach about star wars, but about society as a whole. Common W
I only ever got two of the Rebels sets, so I was a bit worried where they’d fall on the list. Thankfully, they were the top two. Always good to know that a thing I have is good, better when the thing I have is the best.
got the Tie Advanced w/ A-Wing for like $45 (without sabine and tarkin) and honestly the builds are so smooth and pleasing to look at. definitely deserving of the no. 1 spot
Let’s Go Ryan, I know it’s gonna be an amazing vid, thanks dude, big supporter of your work 😊, and yes I know this is a reupload, I saw it earlier, still good 😂
One thing, I think a lot of people forget is that the Vader from the tie advanced vs A wing is unique only to that set with unique printing on the torso
The imperial assault carrier is one of the coolest sets ever imo. It really isn’t that bad looking and the features on it are pretty nice compared to what other sets have. The tie fighters have never bothered me but I can see where they could be off putting.
Oh the nostalgia and the regret of not getting certain sets... one christmas I didn't get Phoenix home instead I got the AT-TE I don't regret it but man I wish I could afford it today
I keep forgetting the Darth Vader TIE-Advanced was a Rebels set. I got it basically because I wanted a Tarkin minifigure and a TIE-Advanced and that set had both. I only watched Rebels at the end of 2018, so I got lucky I had bought it without even knowing it was supposed to be a Rebels set (I assumed Tarkin's tan uniform was just LEGO messing up as usual 😅). I then managed to get a Phantom II for the Thrawn minifigure just in time. The set had just retired but I still found a copy in a store. That was a close call. I'm not sure we'll get a Thrawn minifigure now. Being the Ahsoka series the garbage that it is, I have a feeling Thrawn will barely show up and when he shows, it'll be just as a cliffhanger for the Filoni film. LEGO might want to leave Thrawn for the Filoni film sets.
Yep, you are the reason we can't have nice things (i.e., season 4 Rebels sets)!! :) But seriously, I'm just happy that so many folks like you gave Rebels another chance - because for my money it is some of the best SW story telling.
I remember when I got the Ghost for Christmas then I ended up building the Phantom with extra pieces I had and followed a speedbuild so i could build it then attach it to the Ghost. Good times😢
I remember I got the Phantom 2 right after it retired it was only like 40 bucks on ebay and I got it thankful now, I notice a lot of the underrated sets of the time have more expensive figures, for example: imperial/tie fighter drop ship and Ahsoka set.
I was able to get the phantom, the stormtrooper battle pack, and the tie advance prototype for about 90 bucks at an estate sale, and both the phantom and the battle pack were sealed. I have them proudly on display. I used to have the tie advance prototype and the phantom but I also had something called “little kid syndrome” so I’m sure you can imagine how that ended.
That AT-TE set is the one Rebels set I wish I bought. But I was more excited for Force Awakens sets at the time. These sets did come out a bad time when they had to compete with the new shiny mainstream sequels.
Whether these sets were good or not, I’m so bummed out that I didn’t get them when they came out since I ended up enjoying Rebels more than I ever thought I would.

Yes.
At what point does Rebels get good? I couldn’t get past the 1st season cause of Ezra being annoying 🥲
@@aliciaserrano9698just ignore Ezra until the last season
@@aliciaserrano9698basically start Rebels from S1E12. It starts getting good with the finale of S1.
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR MARRIAGE! 🥹🥹 My gift must have gotten lost in the mail...
Only true og’s know this is a reupload
Yes I watched it
I was looking for this video in my notifications, but I couldn’t find it, I figured he probably reupload it later.
Hahaha ya lol
I was watching it when it went private
Same I was so confused when it cut off
"I hated the show... and hadnt even watched it all" is a sentence that sums up the problems with starwars fans today
As someone who’s been watching since around 2017, I can really say that the Editing and quality has def taken many steps up since then - especially since the move in. Keep up the amazing work!
Weird! I watched this video earlier and at about 16:40 it abruptly cut off and ended! Glad the full video is now available
I left wondered why they took it down.
Video idea: What if you compare the new e-wing with Jek-14's Stealth starfighter? They are both e-wings so....
He'd have to review Jek-14's Starfighter first but yeah, those are 2 videos he needs to do.
Danm… it kinda hurts to hear your opening statement, you guys grew up with clone wars but myself and a few others grew up with rebels. I liked rebels from the start, and never had a problem with Ezra or the tone of the show. Ryan and Thrawn are such a cute couple. I wonder if they’ll have kids
The A wing actually had a very well intergrated Spring loaded shooter function where you can pull the entire middle section minus the cockpit backwards to shoot the spring loaded shooter one by one. It was so well hidden that I didn’t know it was there.

These sets are so nostalgic to me! I bought all of the first wave back in the day at a small pop up shop in Disney! Those were the days!
I'm glad you decided to redo this video, especially after actually seeing Rebels
I am rewatching rebels again and I’m already on season two and it’s just as good as the first time, and I’m exited to see all of the sets MandR got to review! I love the vids and can’t wait for more!!
When I watched the first version of this video earlier, I was so confused when it just cut off at the end
0:11 Was the scariest thing I've ever seen on this channel 🥺
Man back in the day I’ve always looked at that AT-DP set and thought LEGO nailed the look completely. Now owning it, I believe it’s LEGO best two legged walker build.
Yo MandR that wedding photo looks so great I'm so happy for you, you guys are a great couple
That was one of the most cursed images I’ve ever seen.

I just got ahold of the Wookie Gunship set for $75 (used). I really liked the set and feel its pretty underrated. Nice to see it high up on your list!
Two cool rebels sets that should’ve happened were either the mining guild tie fighter or the rebels starfighter (the one Sabine painted). Also a rebels hondo and maul would’ve been cool too.
Therapist: Don't worry, female Ryan doesn't exist, he can't hurt you
*Female Ryan:*

I really love the Imperial Assault carrier! Loved it when growing up
I got it
I have at least half of these sets and I love them all!
I completely agree with the placement of the atte
I only ever got two of the Rebels sets, so I was a bit worried where they’d fall on the list. Thankfully, they were the top two. Always good to know that a thing I have is good, better when the thing I have is the best.
I love sets like the combat frigate, they embody that run-down look of star wars so well.
I just want to say your audio quality has gotten so much better. Keep up the great work.
Only true OG's dont care that this is a reupload and are just glad they have a video posted to watch
Can we all agree that mandr makes some of the best ratings?
Oui oui
fun fact about the storm trooper battle pack, it is based off an old Kenner star wars toy called the imperial troop transporter
Well done with how your channel has turned out and i wish you would consider doing more mocs in the future (love the content)
I loved Rebels when it was new, and I'm excited seeing it have a 2nd chance in the sun due to Ahsoka.
You’re new setup is incredible. It’s looking great keep up the good work!
Love the video! Keep up the good work
How do you love it if you haven’t watched it yet
love how you found all the old adds!! keep doing this pleasee
The animation you had for the Wookiee gunship is so clean
I’m pretty sure it was officially made by Lego.
got the Tie Advanced w/ A-Wing for like $45 (without sabine and tarkin) and honestly the builds are so smooth and pleasing to look at. definitely deserving of the no. 1 spot
The true studs watched the original updated video which wasn’t complete before he took it down
Well i like the video but.little harsh on the ghost. It included some epic figs. Keep up the great content.
0:09 made me spit my water out
Your sound is WAY better with the mic. The THRAWN shirt is 🔥🔥🔥
Underrated Star Wars moments - Commander Satto's sacrifice
Did MandR just prefer a sticker over a print on that ezra bike?
i dig the transitions 😂
Can’t wait to watch this! Half way through it but so far 🔥vid! Love the daily uploads Mandr keep it up, and what’s was your fav ahsoka episode?
Let’s Go Ryan, I know it’s gonna be an amazing vid, thanks dude, big supporter of your work 😊, and yes I know this is a reupload, I saw it earlier, still good 😂
16:19 It actually was the Phantom I in the show to dock on the ship.
17:07 watch it in 0.5 speed as Ryan says the word "but"
One thing, I think a lot of people forget is that the Vader from the tie advanced vs A wing is unique only to that set with unique printing on the torso
00:10 I love him too!
Long live grand admiral Mitth’row’nuruodo!
When are we getting a s4 ezra and a updated thrawn??? 🤔
Whoever made that marriage picture deserves a raise
I wish Lego would revisit rebels. One of my personal favorite Star Wars shows.
Finalllyyyyyy, the man sees the light 🙌🏻
Rebels was an awesome show 🔵
Keep the videos coming 👏🏻
Congratulations, you and thrawn make a lovely couple
I clicked the video earlier but had to pause for a minute and when i went back it was gone. Thought i was crazy. Re-upload
There is NO FUCKING WAY bro put the ghost last 💀
The imperial assault carrier is one of the coolest sets ever imo. It really isn’t that bad looking and the features on it are pretty nice compared to what other sets have. The tie fighters have never bothered me but I can see where they could be off putting.
These rebel sets are amazing in retrospect, its sad that I missed this wave...
The Wookiee Gunship was a bit of a niche set but I'd love to see a remake of it
Thrawn mandr marriage video when?
Oh the nostalgia and the regret of not getting certain sets... one christmas I didn't get Phoenix home instead I got the AT-TE I don't regret it but man I wish I could afford it today
Honestly the new ghost makes the old one look like shit
I keep forgetting the Darth Vader TIE-Advanced was a Rebels set. I got it basically because I wanted a Tarkin minifigure and a TIE-Advanced and that set had both. LEGO might want to leave Thrawn for the Filoni film sets.
Amazing editing on this video.
The a wings spring loaded shooter was unique. The whole mid section slid back to fire it.
1:36 It says 5053: The Ghost 💀💀💀
bro is the best lego youtuber keep up the good work Ryan!
“But” *proceeds to show an absolute dumper*
Time stamp? (For research purposes)
Edit: nvm I found it. ( 17:07 ) I can now do my research.
I really want the atdp
That “but(t)” caught me off guard lmao
This is where the fun begins
I need the big phantom
Yep, you are the reason we can't have nice things (i.e., season 4 Rebels sets)!! :) But seriously, I'm just happy that so many folks like you gave Rebels another chance - because for my money it is some of the best SW story telling.
Bro the setup looks mad good
The episodes with the AT-TE are some of my favorites from Rebels
Props on the wedding dress. 😂
I remember when I got the Ghost for Christmas then I ended up building the Phantom with extra pieces I had and followed a speedbuild so i could build it then attach it to the Ghost. Good times😢
I love how Disney mesed up Thrawn's rank too
Technically it's Governor Tarkin (not Grand Moff), at the time the show is set
I remember I got the Phantom 2 right after it retired it was only like 40 bucks on ebay and I got it thankful now, I notice a lot of the underrated sets of the time have more expensive figures, for example: imperial/tie fighter drop ship and Ahsoka set.
I love the worst to first it feels like he never does then anymore so it’s a nice change
It should be considered a crime that we didn’t get a new Tie Defender set based on Rebels.
Great video!🤙
I was a fan of Rebels. That show got me into Clone Wars. I wish I bought more sets than just the Phantoms and the stormtrooper battle pack.
Don't ever show that photoshop at 0:10 again. I mean, the image in my EYES!!
I laughed when you ended the last video on "it just gets forgotten-"
Man Ryan was trying to pick a fight with that opening set 😅
I was able to get the phantom, the stormtrooper battle pack, and the tie advance prototype for about 90 bucks at an estate sale, and both the phantom and the battle pack were sealed. I have them proudly on display. I used to have the tie advance prototype and the phantom but I also had something called “little kid syndrome” so I’m sure you can imagine how that ended.
Congrats Grand Admiral MandR>
I remember getting the captain rexs at-te for $75 brand new in box on ebay back in the day
I really hope we get a new Thrawn. He was my favorite character to read and i wasn't able to get one.
Love the vids Ryan I definitely agree with this list 😂
That AT-TE set is the one Rebels set I wish I bought. But I was more excited for Force Awakens sets at the time. These sets did come out a bad time when they had to compete with the new shiny mainstream sequels.
I really got to rebuild my OG Phantom set, genuinely was a great build :)
Gotta love that captain Rex's at te
Whether these sets were good or not, I’m so bummed out that I didn’t get them when they came out since I ended up enjoying Rebels more than I ever thought I would.
based, thrawn is incredible
