0:43 - you are entitled to your opinion about 4+ sets. As a counter-opinion, I have a number of nieces/nephews around this age (from 3 to 7). They've loved their time with Duplo and they still prefer Duplo over Lego. The reason is that when they start to put things together, they can see something form quicker with Duplo (due to the size) and they don't always have the patience to try and achieve the same thing with Lego. The bigger pieces in this 4+ set meant that putting only a few pieces together - they could see something coming together quicker. This led to them staying interested in the build process longer, when it came to the smaller pieces. So, while you state that sets like this shouldn't exist and that a 4 year old should try playing with a battlepack or a microfighter - I believe that you're thinking like an adult Lego collector, and I don't think that you're thinking like a 4 year old and what they want/need. The battlepack, especially, holds no interest for any of the kids I know. While I love clone troopers, these kids think that Nubs is the coolest figure of all.... Some of these kids have been allowed to watched the Young Jedi Adventures cartoons - so, they know this ship and they know the characters. With the eldest being 7, I'm pretty sure that none of them has been allowed to watch anything that has a clone trooper in it. As the entire point of every clone trooper movie/show is that these troops are generic and can die, in large amounts, they're all way to young to have seen them or to be able to identify with any clone troopers. 4+ sets will never be the biggest sellers, as most adults want no part of them. But, I believe that they do have a legitimate place in the lineup. If it doesn't interest you, then it's quite fair for you to just pass on the set and not buy it. Can't disagree that it's overpriced, of course! 🤣
A huge problem with Lego is that the set sizes and minifigure lineups are getting smaller and smaller, while the prices are continuing to raise. The Lego Death Star was $500 and had like 24 minifigures.
@ I will agree, they do look newer, but at the same time, lazier. I have the Lego Star destosyer, and the Cal Kestis minifigure is so bland despite being a limited edition 25th anniversary figure. Even the new ARC fighter coming next year is way too stubby in my opinion.
I fully agree about Jedi Bob. I was happy as an "outsider" seeing people excited about Jedi Bob and seeing them happy, but I personally didn't care that they brought him back
Calling the midi falcon only “5-10$ overpriced” is so insane. It’s the size of a Jedi starfighter, which is usually about 35$. Even 50$ is too generous to LEGO, especially without minifigs. It’s nearly double the price it should be

Doesn't come across in pictures. It's just such a good build. But yeah a bit expensive but i love it so much i says its worth it
My girlfriend got me the Captain Rex Y-Wing micro fighter for a boo basket. Accidentally found it in the closet, so I can’t wait to build it! Captain Rex is by far one of my favorite Star Wars characters, and may pick up his buildable helmet before it’s discontinued later this year.
I bought multiple of Rex’s Ywing to sell them when the set is retired, build is mid but dang that Rex fig isn’t that bad when you missed out on getting about 10 years ago
Thank you for putting the Onyx Cinder so high in your list. I absolutely loved the shape and design of the ship. Even without having seen the show, the ship itself is just awesome.
Fr! Dark Falcon and the interceptor are extremely gorgeous builds. Sail barge is a very very good build but it's also very good because it has Jabba and Max Rebo making a reappearance after a whopping eleven years! Buildable 3PO just doesn't reach the same levels in my opinion.
@Leon.16 the R2 build was better then C3P0. (I have both). However they do go well together. The Dark Falcon was really cool and should have been higher.
I totally agree with you about the Onyx Cinder, I have no media connection to it, but in terms of its design itself, its super cool. It has that great “distinctive star wars ship silhouette” quality about it with the unique trapazoid silhouette and VTOL pivoting thrusters. And on top of that, the interior looks neat.
I saw the Firehawk at a Target clearance for $20 and people still didn't buy it. My misgiving with the Desert Skiff is that it's really just DLC to the UCS Sail Barge, an extra $80 added to the $500 price tag. My favorite set would be the Invisible Hand for the potential of building an armada of ships. I'm hoping for more capital, and even support ships, to be made in the future.
The Dark Falcon is great reminder that Legos are. They are toys to be played with and to be unwrapped from gift papers. To greate great moments to remember after decades.
8:43 remember the days when Jedi bob was niche, and us hardcore LEGO SW fans could reminisce about his legend. Instead of now, when LEGO and (especially) Disney are milking the things we are nostalgic for to make money. But I still love Jedi Bob 🫡
My personal favorite sets from this year are the UCS TIE Interceptor at $230, the Midi Scale Millennium Falcon at $85, and the play scale Imperial Star Destroyer at $160. These were the only new Star Wars sets I bought this year. I also bought the 2013 UCS X-Wing Starfighter to display alongside the new UCS TIE Interceptor because I prefer it to the 2023 version, but that wasn't a new set. I will say the only other new Star Wars set I'm kind of still thinking about picking up before the end of the year is Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator, but I probably won't since I now have a $1,000 UCS Death Star to begin saving up for lol.
I was worried when i saw Captain Rex's Y-Wing at the bottom i thought it was for fhe other reasons people hate that set but i am glad to see you had actually valid criticisms about it instead of hating it because Rex isn't exclusive to the Venator

The star destroyer is great because of its look 100%. However it is absolutely TOO SMALL. For the price that they’re selling it to us, that set should be a few inches longer and maybe taller. Some play function to the bridge. Realistically as we got it, the ISD should be like $140 it’s about equal to the size of the ATTE, and gunship we got in that price area. HOWEVER, for sake of argument, releasing how it is, the set should’ve come with like 3-5 micro fighter tie builds and a couple more figures like 2-3 storm troopers would be great!
Why is nobody talking about the disappearance of droid sets?! The only time they made a plain droid set this year was a may 4th promo. The clone/droid battle pack was cool, but i need more droids for my display, not clones.
I personaly only like 3 of this sets. The clone and droid battle pack, the mandalorian battleback and jedi bobs jedi star fighter... but whats that aqbar trooper?!
Have people just stopped talking about how bad the Family Guy stormtrooper helmets are? I refuse to buy any set with them in it cause I just have no way of justifying the purchase for how fucking ugly they look. I’d have to buy old helmets to put on them and that adds even more money to these already overpriced sets
LEGO is inexplicably ruining so many minifig designs. Phase II clones are atrocious, the new battle droid legs are paler than the rest of the minifig, cheerleader skirt Leia, pink Fox, painted eyebrow bow tie Fives, fat Bib Fortunata, like wtf is going on in Sweden right now
