I'll say Phantom II because of Thrawn, A Wing, and Obi Wan's Starfighter were the good ones. Just got the 2007 version of the hyperdrive ring from B&M and refurbished it with new parts, a scrub, and a brick-link order or 2.
The buildable figures
Best set in my collection is the republic attack shuttle
does any on else wish they could restore every lego set you’ve had? i regret destroyed every single lego structure i had and mixing up the mini figures i’ve had.
Same, but I stripped all mine down and rebuilt them from colour-coded boxes.
Yeah but I think I'm doing well because I just ordered the 2019 millennium falcon and that will be my first set over €100 so I'm very excited

Dang, imagine being a Star Wars fan in 1999 and knowing that it's been 22 years since the first film of the original trilogy. That feeling must be comparable to now since its been almost 21 years since the first film of the prequel trilogy :o

Agreed. I just got the precursor to that set that came in 2007. Hyperdrive ring sets are just cool.

I did want to get it but I wanted more iconic sets released from that year like the y wing and the a wing for example. Plus I did not have as much of a budget as I do now.

The resistance bomber is such a crappy design in universe why so slow?!?! You can travel faster than light but not more than 2 mph for your bombers!?!?

The reason why it was so slow because Johnson wanted to replicate the Flying Fortress of WW2 but in space. In fact that opening battle didn’t make any sense space wise.
Edit: But the problem is that it’s REALLY hard to capture the tension of a slow aircraft/spacecraft. In the planet that the bombers are in, I do see this tension working. But in space? No, because there is no turbulence or air in space along with the tie fighters given the fact that there are faster and more powerful bombers that the new republic has at its arsenal than those T-bombers. Like b-wings in which can blast powerful lasers and are absolutely faster than those boring t-wings. And that those kind of bombers need more screen time as we’ve only seen them in one battle back in the battle of Endor.

I have the arrowhead, and i actually like it. Maybe it's not a "real" star wars set, but the design is nice. And it was a fun build. The grey and dark red colours works great together.

The republic tank isn’t bad, in fact it is almost minifig scale
the only thing good with the 2017 was the size and minifigures. the older one had such a better design and play features

The set doesn't suck... the vehicle it's based sucks balls

I never heard about the Quadjumper, but it is immediately one of my favourite ship designs. I just like cool shaped ships, especially ones with the long turbine engines.

Yeah, it's totally amazing. Looks much better and bigger in person than on photos. Not sure why it didnt sell better.
Personely, I love the starfighters in all shape and form, and that fact that it has the hyperdrive makes it a lot better. 15:24

That arrowhead actually looks pretty cool. I like the other freedommaker set too and I really like that quadjumper. Obi Wans jedi starfighter with hyperdrive is so badass and the UCS snowspeeder is one of my favorite sets. The only thing I didn't like about it was the stickers on the cockpit. I hated putting them on and I wish they were printed. It was annoying as hell trying to get them on straight and I'm pretty sure I messed a couple up. 2017 was actually a great year bc to top it off you had the UCS millennium falcon which is by far my favorite set. That thing was a blast putting it together. I want to put another one together so bad. I should "accidentally" drop mine and then take it apart just so I can put it back together. Only the 1989 batmobile came close to being as fun to put together imo.
There’s this cool thing on the rathtar escape where you can De-attach the 3 parts 😱 how cool! Now you can carry it without breaking!

I got Yoda’s Starfighter and the microfighter U-Wing for Christmas 2017 and for my birthday got the U-Wing microfighter again and loved it all over again

The imperial battlepack is ok, it’s just I don’t want an army of death troopers, they aren’t supposed to be in large numbers, it would be better if it was 3 stormtroopers and one death trooper.
well stormtrooper were fairly easy to get anyway, so having two deathtroopers in the battlepack was fine because you only had to buy like 3 of them plus krennic's shuttle to have 8 and make a good squad. Having 1 of them woul've needed you to purchase 6 battlepacks instead, and I know that it would've been simply too much.
Ryan also needs to understand that not everyone has 30K to spend on lego every year, and most people won't buy more than one type of battlepack. The toystore in my city also tend to wait quite a long time to stock them as both owner confirmed to me that they aren't that successfull. They sell, but slow and steady and often end up on clearance, which isn't good for a store owner

Spider walker is definitely a cool set. Got it for 20 on clearance and worth every penny of that.
I wish I could have gotten the snowspeeder. It had such a short shelf life and I was late to getting it
7:20 this walker was in the last Jedi I can how you would not see it though because it is in the background completely unnamed in the movie doesn't get a single shot where it is more than around 10 yards away and it blends in pretty well in the snowstorm the shot it is most visible in is when they have a shot of a diagonal view from right infant of the big fricking cannon on crait and you can see it moving away from the barrel of the cannon
The crab Walker was the think pulling the big cannon I have an episode 8 manual

I actually liked the Transport Pod. In fact, I got another one when they were cheap. I removed Rose Tico though.
In fairness, the quad jumper was good for getting Rey, Finn, BB-8 and a stormtrooper in a set that wasn’t too expensive

I too love the Resistence Bomber, it remind me of the B-17E Flying Fortress BUT HOLY HELL, I have so many problems with it, like, why are they using bombs and not poton bombs? and what was wrong with the Y-Wing?
It just depends on what the target is and what type of damage you want to do, there's various types of projectiles used for different reasons in the star wars universe and in real life

You probably won't see this but the reason the "Phantom II" looks like a separatist shuttle is because in the show they steal one in "The Last Fight" and Sabine resprays it.
The phantom ll is a modified separatist shuttle with different paint job

We still have a couple dozen of the Han Solo buildable figures at the Target I work at. Even when we had them on sale... no one wants them.

The buildable figures, in my opinion, only work in the cases of characters with helmets (Vader, Boba Fett, Troopers, etc), droids and General Grevious...
