- Project Reignition is an unofficial recreation of the original Nintendo Wii title, known as Sonic and the Secret Rings, created by KumaPauZ.

This project aims to recreate Sonic and the Secret Rings from scratch. The goal is to fix any common issues players have with the game, with controls and progression being the main focus.
Additionally, the first demo is available to try out!
The demo includes 3 stages from Sand Oasis.

Considering the fact that I've barely played Sonic and the Secret Rings, it's nice to see that there's a project in the works with trying to recreate the game from scratch. If anything, this has given me inspiration to do some practice to get better at the game (both the remake here and on the original console).
Major thing I will highlight is with the fact that the improvement towards the controls is great. I've tried this out with both a keyboard and an Xbox controller, and I will say that as a personal preference when it comes to 3D games, I always play with a controller.
I am highly interested now to see more progress on this project, if anything I'll definitely showcase more progress when any new demos potentially come out.
If the creator happens to watch this, I really enjoyed playing the demo! Definitely would recommend to anybody that's open to trying it out.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you! I enjoyed the storybook series so much but still had some issues with the emulation way but I’m so glad that this is getting a remake! Both Secret Rings and Black Knight are one of my favorites. Seriously. Thank you!

Great to see that fan project like P-06 are inspiring others to make native PC ports/remakes of other Sonic titles. Perhaps we’ll hopefully get an full Unleashed PC port as well.
As an incredibly early build, what matters most here is that all of the core essentials that make up Secret Rings are pretty much there, we can complain about the Sonic model and physics later but as a Proof of Concept this truly opens the door to what we know this port to PC can truly become: Having played the original Wii version on a DualShock 02 via Dolphin with a ludicrous amount of delicate button mapping, I can tell you right now that being able to witness anybody bring this control scheme to function correctly on a traditional controller is a task and a half; it truly will show its worth once we get to witness the action at Level 099 and wishfully the final product will be more than enough to tell Kishimoto and company at Sonic Team that the time has come to give the Storybook Series some official ports that deliver proper optimizations to the original engines, this is the SegaSonic the Hedgehog of the Modern Era and it has been absolutely overdue to finally bring every title with a unique control standard into one that is more Universal.
Glad that there's a team dedicated to bringing this game back to life with far more functionality and visual improvements than the original game offers. Haven't been much familiar with this game myself, but I would be curious to try something like this out whenever I plan to upgrade my system. Great demo upload, and I hope you're doing great Jaypin!!

This was my first Sonic game, so I'm pretty surprised about it getting a remake. Hopefully there's no more automatic running or motion controlled bullcrap in the finished product. I wish to play the game with as authentic controls as possible.
I know Secret Rings is not a good game but I like it anyway. I still think it is ibe of the best Racing Sonix games ever made.
Do keep in mind, I've played this game before years ago just before my house got screwed.
And seriously, reaching level 99? That's was a grinding thing to do on this game!
