Love your videos Taylor. As a professional, I suggest getting a old swing set for the frame. Use it to hang parts. Pick a sunny spot in your yard to put it. Getto, but will improve your work and speed up the time. You should hang your parts to paint. Hit all the areas at once without flipping it and messing the paint up. Rustoleum is slow drying, especially the gloss black. So because you have to flip, it takes 2x as long till you can use the part. Also getting the part into some air flow will aid in drying. An engine hoist is feasible for large items. We have chains in the booth at work. Can hang 1960 Cadillac frames, rears, etc. Keep up the good work.
You should talk to @NittoTire when you are at the upcoming Cleetus's event to talk about sponsorship. I think you would be a great addition to Cleetus, and Vaughn Gittin Jr.
Taylor very quickly became my favorite content creator! Always so humble about everything, always trying to keep a positive attitude and definitely not lazy! Good on you man! Keep up the hard work it’ll pay off!
Taylor, if you need those bushings out when you get your new ones in, use a drill with a small drill bit and work your way around the bushing housing. It will separate the bushing from the inner sleeve. Worked wonders on my Mustang's rear upper and lower control arms after I had spent hours trying more 'conventional' methods. In case you're wondering, it didnt score or damage the inner sleeve, left it nice and shiny!
As someone who just did sub frame bushings at home, I can definitely say it was the biggest pain in the ass at home project ive done. Torch, air hammer, sledge hammer, rigging up a press.....absolute treat.
it sucks to get bushings out, but what i have found that works best is to use a torch, melt the center out and there is a metal ring left that has an interference fit, with a jig saw, grove or cut all the way through just the ring, one at 12:00 and one at 6:00, then use a chisel to tap it out. hope this helps you. love it man!
Holy crap. I just bought a bottle of PB Blaster for Junkyard runs. Had no idea you could spray like that with the straw down. I just thought it was to make it fit on shelves easier. Glad I watched the "ad" instead of skipping past it. Thanks, TR!
Sometimes our best plans just get highjacked by Mr. Murphy. It will all work out in the end. If not, you’ll find a workable solution. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Never hurts to learn from others experience. Makes us all better thinkers and planners.
The way I get those bushings out is to use a deep hole saw to cut the rubber core out around the inner sleeve, then hacksaw out the metal bush liner and if its a real pig I burn the rubber bushes out with a blow torch, not good for the lungs but works well when your in a bind, good luck and keep up the good work.
For those control arm bushings, torch the bushings, burn the metal center part out, sawzall through at least one side of the outer lining, or through both sides and the bushing comes right out. I’ve done the process a few times.
Seriously. It never fails, I hit a road block that holds me up for hours and makes me super mad. There's always something small that'll hold you up and make it take twice as long. It's impressive that be dose it all himself as quickly as he does.

The pb blast i didn't believe. But bought a can an took it to work and everybody used it up on me. And now our shop only gets us pb. Now I'm going to test out the new stuff you talked about!! Keep up the great content!
Drill through the rubber with a drill bit all around the perimeter of the bushing. Knock the center out. Then use your air chisel to collapse the metal sleeve and push it out. Sometimes if you use a small enough drill bit it will walk itself around the bushing.
It's super easy to re-drill ZX discs to 4 stud if you want to keep the VS XX. Take a spare 4 stud hub and knock 3 of the studs out. Find a drill bit that fits in the stud holes snug. Drop the hub in the discs, it will be aligned by the centre bore and single remaining stud. Use the drill bit to leave a small mark at the centre of where each stud should be. Grab a small pilot drill to start then work up to final size.
Hey boss I found a good trick for stuck bushings is to take a torch and heat them up and beat it out with a hammer and chisel I tried everything for my lower control arms on my Lexus and that was my winner! Keep it bro your videos are definitely inspiring!
Taylor, I wish I would have known you needed all that stuff. These cars actually share a lot of parts with the R32 skylines and I have information that would have been very useful, especially on those freaking ball joints.
A fast way to (usually) make a solid subframe bushing install easier is to take some dry ice (you can buy from your local grocery chain store), crush it and place in a cheap aluminum tin. Then pour ethanol over it until you have a dry ice bath. Drop in your solid bushings-the fluid will boil. Wait till the boiling stops. Dry ice is about -78 C and ethanol freezes as -178 so your bushings will be around -78C.
Hey taylor instead of rustoleum try steel it....just as good if not better and u can spray it on bare metal and weld straight over it and spray another coat on to finish
Have you ever tried a "Can Gun"? Got mine at Ace, you can get them on Amazon for like 5 bucks. Massive game changer for when i spray parts, my finger doesn't get tired and u can modulate the spray.
Suggestion with the bushes Drill out the rubber bush, then use an air saw or a hack saw to cute the outer shell and then you can use a chisel to knock the shell out
When trying to put in those bushings hit the metal with a small map gas torch for a minute or so in addition to cooling the bushings. The real gold is cooling the bushings with liquid nitrogen but most folks don't have a dewar sitting around.
Use the drill technique on the bushings. Let the drill wander around anticlockwise outside the center ring. It Will slowly wander out. Then do the same on the big rubber.
You can use a drill and bit to drill into the rubber on the suspension bushings. Keep making holes and the rubber will just fall apart. Then use that air hammer to taco the metal sleeve. That’s the easiest way I’ve found to replace those rubber suspension bushings.
Nice dude. I'm doing a bunch of work to my Cefiro on my channel too and this saved me some cash on doing rear hubs from an S14 and such with the 5 lug. Didn't realize Enjuku carried so much for the Cefiro too.
If you cut the outer rings of those cradle bushes from the inside using a hacksaw (disassemble it to get the blade in) then they come out with a few taps instead of a 45 minute fight with an air hammer haha. Keep up the good work, thanks for sharing.

When I get a painful rubber bushing that doesn't want to come out, I sit it on a small gas bbq, cook the rubber till its jelly and on fire. Bash the core out, the rubber normally comes out with core, then get a jigsaw or a sabre saw with a hacksaw type metal cutting blade and cut the sleeve till its paper thing, then use a cole chisel or screwdriver and hammer and split the sleeve along the cut. No bruised metal to stop the new one sliding in :)

Taylor, 4.3 and 4.6 are common upgrade for R200. Big bonus you have the 4.3 in there. And judging by the spool case it looks like a Cusco unit. And on the brakes the HR32 & ECR32 Skyline and other base models had the same. Beautiful car by the way, someone really loved that car in Japan to spec out the aero and all that.
Ur a good dude and a skilled mechanic, we love watching u, also because of your heads up on the tf works k swap kit I totally guessed Jimmy Oakes sylvia swap!
Mr. Ray. You can easily get everything done in time. There is always not sleeping or eating in the last week. I have faith. You are well prepared. You may only miss one night of sleep.
The lca bushings are absolute hell to get out. I couldn't get them out myself and took them to a shop and even they had problems. They spent hours to get them out. They're sleeved like the subframe bushings. Gotta get a saw of some sort to cut thru the sleeve and try and chisel in-between the sleeve and the lca hole enough to get some relief to press them out. If you don't wanna spend the possible hours id suggest just getting gktech rear lcas. At $430 they're not that much more than oem lcas.
I thought about going that route, but they said for long term street use I would be better off using OEM style stuff. Sphericals wear out quick on the street. I'm using them in the other arms, but their isn't really a nice rubber bush adjustable arm option. And the ISR arms have held up great on all my cars.
So good seeing a cef build they use to be plentiful over here in New Zealand but between them getting stolen chopped and crashed they are getting rather rare still one of my favourites thou
I'm kinda glad there's not many on the road anymore, it's great seeing them at a track, rather than hearing someone trying to hook 2nd in a 20E or 20DE Cefiro with a drain pipe exhaust at 2am like back 15 years ago. Or maybe I'm just old now haha.
Zeroyon 456 ..definitely get we’re your coming from but at the same time that was me 10 odd years ago and it’s almost a bit sad to think the younger guys these days don’t have many options shit bloody 33 20e isn’t exactly cheap these days and dirty skid hacks we could pick up cheap as are now all over priced
I live in Canada and they put Salt on road in winter Seasons so our Bolt are very rusty and corroted and I can tell you after using Pb blaster once I will never go back. Pb is litteraly the difference in breaking a Bolt or not on pretty much any car older than 5 years here. Thank to you an Pb blaster
Taylor you can always go get some dry ice when you know your going to be doing bearing work and seating. Works much better. Almost 0 wait time. Then a torch to do the opposite end to seat it
I had to use heat to melt the rubber to get the inner and break loose the outer, then press out the outer metal of the bushing. Nissan bushings have always been the most headache for me.
Drill the rubber and drill will walk around the steel insert and then will fall out then get it to walk around the out side rubber will come out then spit the inner case and pry to remove
If you run open lug nuts, put a small amount of anti seaze on the threads. The elements will corrode and lock them up. Especially here in PA with the salt/chemicals in the winter.

I almost forgot Aaron announced that you were taking this. Even more excited.
Taylor still my favorite UA-cam guy at the moment. This is going to be a cool build.
My favourite build by a LONG shot at the moment! Kind of tempts me to throw a K24 into my C33 Laurel! Keep this awesome content going bro!! 👌
Your work ethic and video style are both top notch! Keep up the great work.
Super helpful tip on the diff!! I'm looking to change my diff ratio and I want to verify what I'm buying before hand!
I love this project! Turbo K24 in an JDM nissan?? sign me up!!!
Yo Taylor you can burn out the LCA bushing then hit with a small drill bit around the remaining bushing! worked for me
Pro tip: you can hang parts like that subframe from your engine hoist so that you can paint both sides at once
I use black refrigerator epoxy paint. Takes a week to cure fully but it's super durable. And the finish is way better than the enamel.
If you run open lug nuts, put a small amount of anti seaze on the threads. The elements will corrode and lock them up. Especially here in PA with the salt/chemicals in the winter.
Yeah I never thought about that being a problem until this car, on my drift cars they come on and off so much it doesn't matter.
I’m super super into this build. I love s-chassis. But 4 door drift cars are badass and so are k swaps. Like it really doesn’t get much better
Love the animals and your channel....... You're very productive and think a lot like me.
Hope that hurricane goes West man, I was really looking forward to this weekend! Shred those hancooks
Love your videos! Been watching since the beginning of the LS miata build and you sir are the reason I build cars and only use Milwaukee fuel tools lol
