- Ever wondered how to make your small walk-in closet look expensive on a budget? Look no further. This is my affordable, low-waste small closet makeover, complete with a final reveal/closet tour and organization tips and tricks! I was inspired to do this video after watching The Home Edit on Netflix. They did some INCREDIBLE organization before & afters, which I LOVED. Reese Witherspoon's movie costume closet or Khloe Kardashian's garage, anyone? Here's my lower-waste, cheaper version ;)

If you're wondering, "how much does a closet makeover cost?" or, "how long does a closet makeover take?" Well, since most of us don't have a celebrity budget to buy all of the storage/shelving and containers Clea and Joanna bought from The Container Store or to hire professionals, I wanted to DIY my closet makeover and do it affordably so it could easily be replicated.
1. PAINT THE CLOSET. I painted my closet a shade of boring ol' white because I simply wanted a refresh and for the closet to feel brand new, in a way. I used mold-and-mildew-resistant white paint that doesn't need primer (linked below).
2. HANG THE CLOTHES. I hung all my clothes, not super focused on the "aesthetic" or the details at first. I just wanted to get everything off the floor and on the rods so I could see what I have. I also added a few things along the way, like extra shelving and an extra clothes hanging rod (exact items below as well). Coats, tops, pants; you name it, I just hung it up to get it out of the way.
3. ORGANIZE. This is where I got a little bit more detailed with my method (or lackthereof). I put my handbags up (check out my handbag collection video if you haven't seen it already), set out my shoes, pushed my dresser into the closet, and more.
4. THE REVEAL. Finally, I show you everything I did to get this closet on a budget. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as i enjoyed making this video.

Good job this looks great! Yes budget friendly and not too stressful! I appreciate your attitude that you didn't attempt super decorated perfection. But, you were still open to tips and tips from the pros. Its on my list of spring organization tasks to be a little more clever with my closet space. Vertical space!
