The knit texture for Yuffie and Cloud in rebirth is *so* incredible; every time there's a close up of the knitwear I get so excited and lose my mind a little bit more. I've never seen better looking fiberart facsimile in a game before
I have to say I loved YOUR character design this video. Really cute outfit
This is the kind of content I subscribe for
I could listen to this type of stuff all day. Something about the nostalgia, the style, and your voice really makes this an enjoyable comfort Channel for me
As a lover of all Final Fantasy and fashion design, I love love love your videos about FF classes so much
27:40 Lightning's Heartstealer is fire
Yes, I would enjoy the video about the tropical steampunk people, hahaha. I have very little knowledge of Final Fantasy and even less knowledge of design language and fashion/art history, so this is awesome for me. My brain doesn't work this way, so I feel like I'm getting a lesson from a professional.
I really appreciate your videos. Nobody else I watch approaches things quite the way you do. Keep it up!
i love looking at pngs!!!! staring at designs a real hobby and i love your content about it. this was rly fun to watch. i love belts too!!!! rikku in x-2 and lightnings thief design are probably my favourites! they look so slay!!!
Ngl I'm usually a fashion hater, but I'm a sucker for history and I admit the way you explain all of this really opens my eyes. I really need to lighten my grip on things 'needing to make sense" and have more fun. This was such a cool video, thank you!
How can you hate clothes 😂
wooo glad you enjoyed!
@@gunplakiwi IRL I'm not really a hater, I can respect other people's opinions. In games and media I can definitely be a hater saying things like "that doesn't make sense" or being overly critical of whacky designs instead of trying to appreciate something being different or being it's own style. The way the outfits are broken down in this video just makes me realize I very much dont' know enough to be critical and it's clear a lot of thought is going into these designs.
I thank the algorithm gods for bringing me this channel! im gonna binge your vids after this! ❤
I still recall Yuna's wedding in FFX; Yuna looked fantastic. Seymor? Eh!
Wow, you went way back to the source, this was actually pretty cool to learn.
You missed the thieves and ninjas from FFT though doh! I absolutely loved Yoshida's designs and art style in that game.
yes! I purposely left them out and only discussed the "mainline" title games (the numbered games). I'm planning to make an entireee video dedicated to just FFT designs because they're like some of my favorites ever! Yoshida is awesome.
@@clovergirleThere is something about his artwork from FFT, FFTA, FF12, Vagrant Story that I've always liked, can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe you can articulate it better in the video, looking forward to it!🤙
I love the depth of this woman's knowledge. She'd be a lot of fun to talk to.
i stg keep up these game history/collection videos and i can see u gaining more recognition. almost makes me want to do it as well 😭
i just finished the video and wanted to say that it was so interesting. i felt fully engaged while watching, you are an excellent speaker and very knowledgeable. if this was the first video i ever saw of yours i would assume you have been doing this for a while. i can tell a lot of research and passion went into making this video, great work!!!
thank you!! :)
The first gag already earned my thumbs up 👍
i never thought of someone will do fashion analysis on ff games , loved it ! and yes your analysis were right as arabian i could tell their fashion were some of us .
You are very cleverly explaining all of this
All of information about the whole clothing and all is just great
You will make a great teacher
perfect timing i just finished ff7 remake, am replaying in hard for all achievements, and then to rebirth!!!! great video to scratch my final fantasy itch
Final Fantasy fashion analysis is soooo necessary thank you!!!
Really enjoying the FF content. Especially the niche topics like styles in FF games. My favorite video so far was your dress sphere video. Keep up the great work
I've never seen Paul before but this dude is fuckin serving
Your so beautiful beyond the universe and the multiverse 🖤🌹 love the outfit btw 😻
Great vid! I especially liked the breakdown for FF2's Paul.
FF2 also has a pirate lady that maybe merits discussion.
I dunno if a sequel video is warranted, but a look at the less major FFs might be interesting.
In particular, I'm curious if FF Tactics' designs stay more firmly European or not. And if the team behind the Bravely Default and 4 Heroes of Light games are properly blending and iterating or focusing on past designs to maintain their tenuous brand affiliation.
Just did my own research and the designs are interesting. Bravely Default Bandits wear hoodies!😅
Take a drink every time Clover says "Final Fantasy". Really, don't though! I love this class breakdown video. Looking forward to more. Especially Black Mage.
YES!! Im psyched this is a reoccurring thing🤸🏻
love these little fashion vids!
Great and interesting video, I want some more and more!
Please make the Al Bhed video :)
Also, not sure if this is something you're interested in, but I would love to see videos on the architecture of Final Fantasy (somewhat pairs with fashion as an aesthetic element).
omg I would love to see your thoughts on other classes.
Please more of these videos!
Paul truly is super unique as is Final Fantasy II in general. The game overall is very Shakespearean and I think there is sort of overlap in the way Shakespeare evokes these non-existent versions of real places that kind of blend his own time with bygone eras and Final Fantasy in its Amano-centric days where the western medieval DnD tropes were infused with an orientalism undercurrent which lead the series to always push imagination further when it comes to giving traditional fantasy a heavy dose of untapped real-world influences in the genre overall even after Amano's vision was no longer as focal to the immersion with graphics getting better and a need for auxiliary content to inform the player's experience of playing the games
Nomura’s first design was actually Setzer and Shadow from ff6. I believe his first game was ff4 tho some sources claim he was a programmer on 3, others claim he started on 5 so it’s kind of a mess lol
ikr lol, i decided to label ff7 as his "first game" since, for the first time, he was the main designer and pretty much designed the whole cast. That dude has got an interesting resume of work lol
Please do more of these but for the different jobs!
So pretty!
make series of this kind of video with the other classes too, pls
Added to my watch list!
wow thorough analysis
videos of people rambling about a niche interest? goddamnit, I'm in
Zidane's iteration is so cool because of his insane ass Dyne abilities lmao
man goes full out monkeymode lol
I, too, started out as a thief.
Now I'm a wizard.
Zidane! My fav. ❤
Wait you talked about Vaan, the wannabe sky pirate but not Balthier the actual sky pirate. Also since Faris is a pirate too I think she deserved special attention.
Oh yeah and you did miss a few in some spinoff games. I know there was a Chocobo Thief job in one of the Chocobo Dungeon games.
clovergirle ff fashion analysis is my favorite show
totally rad
hi, welcome !
Aynen kankii :)
my only gripe: refers to lightning's theif outfit as a "latin" twist after mentioned that it looks "Spanish." Spain is not latin.
you're so right, Spain is Hispanic! I got mixed up in the moment because Spanish is a "latin" language, I misspoke completely.
Yas queen Al-Bhed fashion show
