Value Beyond Savings

Procurement has been tasked and associated with delivering cost savings for many years. This does not make the function popular, especially when savings then result in stakeholder budgets being cut. However, more mature procurement functions are moving away from this money-saving focus and moving towards delivering value in others areas. What does this look like in practice?
What value does Procurement deliver beyond savings? Graham will present the findings of the survey conducted across CASME’s membership which comprises over 180 global procurement organizations with teams in regions across the world. The presentation will be the basis of a discussion how procurement shifts perception away from cost savings and towards activities that will make it easier to engage with business stakeholders.
The session will be interactive, seek views on the different values and encourage more ideas to be collected and shared.
