You don’t get points for picking someone up and slamming them. You typically get disqualified if the judges are being fair. 3rd Dan black belt Shodokan and I’ve been in many of these tournaments that were full contact with even less gear. That being said, the fella who did the slamming isn’t wearing a Gi so this may be some sort of hybrid competition, and he moves more like a wrestler than someone trained in karate or Taekwon-Do.

I used to do Taekwondo have a black belt but then I took Muay Thai and wrestling so if the Taekwondo guy doesn't know wrestling Is going to lose in a real fight
To those saying it was a legal move-the referee was yelling stop when they were clinched, which means stop punching and release your opponent. If a suplex was a legal move, the referee would have let them work in the clinch and stood back until suplex was completed. This was an open freestyle striking tournament which allows tripping and leg sweeps, not an MMA match which allows grappling, wrestling, Jiu Jitsu and judo! The floor in concrete with some thin padding which isn’t designed to absorb that kind of impact.
Breaking rules and setting opponents in danger is ... .... .... Move. It doesn't much differ from shooting or knifing enemy if you break rules on contact sports.

Нет, это было нарушением правил соревнования АМА (а не ММА здесь) на котором разрешены все виды бокса, но запрещены броски., сами прочтите правила конкретного чемпионата. Он ему чуть не причинил смертельную травму шеи.
Обучать не сдержанного человека боевому искусству, всё равно что давать маньяку огнестрельное оружие. Ну, это не рукопашка, там на баннере написано - тхеквондо. И борьба там запрещена, и уж тем более такие жесткие приемы, которые могут привести к травме или инвалидности.
когда я 20 лет назад занимался борьбой, то меня за такое поведение выгнали бы из зала. мы даже и подумать о таком поведении не могли. куда смотрят современные тренера? тренируют людей которые не могут себя контролировать. позор этим тренерам.

Then I quit to pursue a different sport and my head instructor started talking shit behind my back to my parents and admitted that they don't give a fuck about the kids they were teaching and that it was just a hobby of theirs for money. Why do you think he got mad, in a taekwondo point of view you can't do slams like that, and also why do you think they did it in a taekwondo school. @@Ростов-т7м Да это не соревнование по ММА, но стиль бойца который сделал "Прогиб", то есть его вид боевого искусства это ММА. Я сам занимался ММА и мы тоже иногда дрались в боксерских перчатках чтобы перед соревнованиями не травмировать друг друга сильно. И вообще экипировка соревнования зависит во многом о договоренности сторон или федерации проводящей данное соревнование!
I trained in both judo and taekwondo simultaneously. If you go to a judo match you're not allowed to kick people in the face even though that's encouraged in a taekwondo match. Similarly in a taekwondo match I wasn't allowed to put somebody in an armbar or throw them into the ground. Part of sportsmanship is following the rules for the competition that you are in and not cheating or risking injuring people just to win. Using an illegal technique is a great dishonor to yourself and the sport and all of your training and all of those who have gone before you. Martial arts has one of the lowest injury rates of any sport because people follow the rules for the type of competition that they are in. Winning by using an illegal technique is a disgrace. Anyone can win if they cheat.
The comments make me confuse, are they doing mma vs taekwondo?, or just doing taekwondo?, if they doing takwondo by using taekwondo rules then the supposedly mma guy would be disqualified, and it's understandable if the other guy would be angry because of it, but don't called it mma vs taekwondo if it only using taekwondo rules.

The guy was so pissed because blue pants did an illegal move. Its an illegal move that could have easily truly hurt someone. Damaged or broken neck or herniated disks in neck/back. Blue pants should be ejected from the match immediately.

@@davidm9966 that statement would hold true for those who are trained to receive throws. Pure strikers might not know how to fall safely and that makes the risk higher. ASSUMING that the TKD guy was not trained to fall, then it was a dangerous situation and could still potentially broke his neck if he acted in panic and got into bad position when falling.

Да это вообще не болезненный бросок. Ты приземляешься на шею/затылок, там удар очень равномерно распределяется по всей поверхности. Есть вероятность, что ты даже ничего себе не повредишь, если тебя бросят на асфальт.

Visit any gym and ask them if it's a good idea to join if you're a) Afraid of getting seriously hurt b) can the gym guarantee you won't become paralyzed as long you follow its rules You can't have it both ways it's impossible. I get it rules are there to make it as safe as possible but it's not unheard of to be seriously hurt in combat sports or to end up paralyzed especially in combat sports where emotions run high and the likelihood of people loosing their cool is more common than other sports. There are other sports with less risk of both is what I am saying and if those two things are the top of your list find another sport to practice. Much like being a cop, if you're worried about being shot don't become a police officer. The likelihood of you being shot is low but higher than other professions nonetheless. Getting seriously hurt in combat sports is as common as getting in a really bad car wreck if you're racing cars. Even better, if you're afraid of dying in traffic accident you shouldn't ride a motorcycle where it's way more likely that it'll be fatal than if you were in an automobile.

На видео хорошо слышно как судья и некоторые зрители тормозят бросающего во время броска. Очевидно, что это был запрещённый приём, который вследствие своей неожиданности мог привести к травме второго бойца. Так что его возмущение понятно.

I took Taekwondo many years ago and my sensei stated that when you lose (which I did in competition) you must bow to the person who defeated you with dignity and respect. That person taught you what your strengths and weaknesses were.

I had the opportunity to train in a self-defense system based on Kajukenbo, Arnis and Krav Maga which makes for great MMA readiness, but I was already 49 years old when I started 5 years ago. Yep, too old to even think about any type competition. 😂😂😂

To those saying it was a legal move-the referee was yelling stop when they were clinched, which means stop punching and release your opponent. If a suplex was a legal move, the referee would have let them work in the clinch and stood back until suplex was completed. This was an open freestyle striking tournament which allows tripping and leg sweeps, not an MMA match which allows grappling, wrestling, Jiu Jitsu and judo! The floor in concrete with some thin padding which isn’t designed to absorb that kind of impact.

Then I quit to pursue a different sport and my head instructor started talking shit behind my back to my parents and admitted that they don't give a fuck about the kids they were teaching and that it was just a hobby of theirs for money. That really hurt my perception of TKD which I had done for 5 years up to that point. My Muay Thai instructors would never feel that way

Хоть Тхэквондист и мой земляк, но я считаю, что боец ММА все правильно сделал. На этом соревновании каждый представляет свой стиль и свою технику, а в ММА "Бросок, Суфлекс или Прогиб" разрешены. Это равносильно тому, что он бы там дрался с боксером и тот бы его ударил кулаком и что он тогда тоже бы возникал, что хули ты меня кулаком ушатал?! Настоящий боец тот кто уважает все виды боевых искусств и всех людей независимо от того кто слабый кто сильный или кто каким видом боевого искусства занимается. Все мы люди и все под 1 Богом ходим хоть и называем мы его по разному!

Я сам занимался ММА и мы тоже иногда дрались в боксерских перчатках чтобы перед соревнованиями не травмировать друг друга сильно. И вообще экипировка соревнования зависит во многом о договоренности сторон или федерации проводящей данное соревнование!
I trained in both judo and taekwondo simultaneously. If you go to a judo match you're not allowed to kick people in the face even though that's encouraged in a taekwondo match. Similarly in a taekwondo match I wasn't allowed to put somebody in an armbar or throw them into the ground. Part of sportsmanship is following the rules for the competition that you are in and not cheating or risking injuring people just to win. Using an illegal technique is a great dishonor to yourself and the sport and all of your training and all of those who have gone before you. Martial arts has one of the lowest injury rates of any sport because people follow the rules for the type of competition that they are in. Winning by using an illegal technique is a disgrace. Anyone can win if they cheat.

@@davidm9966 that statement would hold true for those who are trained to receive throws. Pure strikers might not know how to fall safely and that makes the risk higher. ASSUMING that the TKD guy was not trained to fall, then it was a dangerous situation and could still potentially broke his neck if he acted in panic and got into bad position when falling.
Sadly, that's California law now. If you shoot at someone but miss them, you are not charged with a violent crime.

Да это вообще не болезненный бросок. Ты приземляешься на шею/затылок, там удар очень равномерно распределяется по всей поверхности. Есть вероятность, что ты даже ничего себе не повредишь, если тебя бросят на асфальт.

You can't have it both ways it's impossible. I get it rules are there to make it as safe as possible but it's not unheard of to be seriously hurt in combat sports or to end up paralyzed especially in combat sports where emotions run high and the likelihood of people loosing their cool is more common than other sports. There are other sports with less risk of both is what I am saying and if those two things are the top of your list find another sport to practice. Much like being a cop, if you're worried about being shot don't become a police officer. The likelihood of you being shot is low but higher than other professions nonetheless. Getting seriously hurt in combat sports is as common as getting in a really bad car wreck if you're racing cars. Even better, if you're afraid of dying in traffic accident you shouldn't ride a motorcycle where it's way more likely that it'll be fatal than if you were in an automobile.

На видео хорошо слышно как судья и некоторые зрители тормозят бросающего во время броска. Очевидно, что это был запрещённый приём, который вследствие своей неожиданности мог привести к травме второго бойца. Так что его возмущение понятно.
Таким приемом можно и убить...

I took Taekwondo many years ago and my sensei stated that when you lose (which I did in competition) you must bow to the person who defeated you with dignity and respect. That person taught you what your strengths and weaknesses were.
It's a shame your "sensei" didn't teach you skepticism, critical thinking and reasoning. It's a short on youtube someone made. No real information aside from likely an MMA fangirl trying to big up MMA. And I don't even like TKD and MMA is my most watched sport nowadays. I had the opportunity to train in a self-defense system based on Kajukenbo, Arnis and Krav Maga which makes for great MMA readiness, but I was already 49 years old when I started 5 years ago. Yep, too old to even think about any type competition. 😂😂😂
