I can't believe it, if there were 20 on the shelf I would have bought them all. What an iconic scene in the movie, seeing that creature demolish and eat everything in its path. People tend to forget the best parts of the movie. I know it's not in scale, that's why we have imaginations. CAMERON. Ps I appreciate all the chapters.
I bought that set when it was new, because I have a shelf display of Star Wars wildlife. And, yeah, decent sculpt and paint, but WAY smaller than it should have been. ALL those sets (Rathtar, Wampa, Probe Droid) consisted of a box that was at least 60% empty space. As for the Force Link 2.0 thing, I don't think I ever saw one in the shops (although toy shopping in Torbay has always been pretty pathetic). Having said that, I recall something about QC issues with the thing, anyway, so I don't think we're missing out on much.
That sounds like the greatest idea ever - I'm totally going to do a shelf of just the animals, creatures and monsters. Plus that box was easily 60% empty, going to have to try and track down the others, only have a POF Probe Droid and always thought it looked oddly sized and rubbish
@moatmonstergaming Thank you! I love alien creatures, and I figured they deserved their own display -- from the fambaas and rancors all the way down to the little pack-ins like snakes, kouhuns, and gorgs. Oh, and the probe droid and wampa are excellent updates! I can highly recommend both, especially if you can find them for the original MSRP or lower. I think the only way the wampa could've been better is if it had the added swivel/rocker diaphragm articulation of the 2004 Ultra-Class Wampa. I did a full review article (with pictures) of said wampa over at the creaturecantina website.
I read the Wampa review with really detailed pictures but I even more enjoyed watching you match action figures to their booze and your prop spotting into different franchises! Who knew Flash and Star Wars were linked!
@@moatmonstergaming Thank 'e very much! Working on another little run of Action Figures & Their Beverages, at the moment. Not sure when they'll be ready to go, but I hope by the end of the month!
It’s not a bad as you think - my 4 year old played with it for a good hour and only one leg fell off, the one with the overpainted blobs in the socket. It’s definitely more robust than reviews had suggested
@ I’m happy you guys are happy with it. I purchased it the day it went onto shelves. 2016, I believe? It simply doesn’t hold together well especially compared to the vintage Dewback, Wampa, and Taun Taun. However, it looks OK in my display. I just make sure not to touch it.
That’s one of my favourite episodes and one I hadn’t seen till a couple of years ago - I love how it focused on two random characters reminded me of the film Enemy Mine! And the monsters in Mindbender’s lab are very similar!!
Honestly I like the toy itself it could be interesting as a dnd monster
Funny you should say that!! I play DnD and often grab rando monster toys to use if I don’t think a DnD Miniature will suffice
It looks like those floating monsters that come out of the jars in Baldur's Gate 3, can't remember what they're called
@@Teeheehee093 the spectator it's a spieces of beholder
I'd buy one if I ever saw one
I have two! One toting luggage for my Star Tours shelf and one as the Sarlacc on my Sarlacc pit shelf. Love it!
That’s cool how’s it carrying all the luggage!? It does look very Sarlaccy, bet it looks great
@@moatmonstergaming the luggage that came with the 3.75 scale red star tours speeder seems made to held aloft by this guys tentacles.
Yeah 👍 he's ok👍 don't think I've seen the model before 🎉
I specially ordered that one from Amazon because of how cool it looked in the movie.
Think it’s the best bit of tFA but should’ve been a bit longer
ohhhh! I love that thing so much, I'll have to try to buy that online
I found it for stupid cheap (though the shipping was 3x the price)
I need the Wampa in the same range it looks very cool too

I think there’s still one more in the shop, maybe I’ll grab another so I’ve got their pair…
My kid would love that stupid thing
One of my three did, the others were like NOPE
This thing would make a great epic monster for d&d
Yeah a lot have people have said that! Maybe next game it’ll hit the table in a swamp or something!
I really like the details
Definitely like how each tentacle is unique and do like the teeth and mottled spots on its back!

i've made a few custom cthulu figures using that spagetti monsters tentrals.
I was pleased that they’re all unique tentacles- does look a little Lovecraftian 🐙
I picked it up in the entertainer a few years ago going cheap I have the figure loose and left the creature in the box
Haha I did the reverse - have the creature loose and left the figure in the box!
I want one!
I want another!
U can put them in the wrong holes, just apologize after and tell her it was an accident.
I definitely wanted it, I just didn’t want it to be made so badly.

I repainted this one in green so he looked like the monster from the G.I. Joe cartoon In the presence of my Enemy. Fighting the B.A.T.s

Looks like the creature from dr strange 2
Shame there’s not more monsters in the Marvel films! Maybe in Dr Strange 3: Back In Training…
use it for a 40k demon spawn conversion
My dad would’ve done this - he was always buying up action figures and converting them into Warhammer scenery/monsters/vehicles!
you sticking your finger in its mouth made me laugh
Yeah dunno why I did that!!
I have one and it's great, but I throw it in with my sea creatures instead of my starwars stuff
Wow what sort of sea creatures?
Isn't that the thing from Guardians of the Galaxy?
It does, you can imagine little Groot dancing round it!
