I liked how the bots fought. For the first time they didn't fight like humans by just throwing punches and shooting guns. We can see why they are called transformers: Optimus partially transforms to avoid being shot in the head, Elita doing 360 degree leg kicks, the instant switch between forms in the fight Optimus vs. Megatron etc.
10:59 aaah I think you misunderstood. Bumblebee was not "trapped" there but was simply stationed there, and he was on the lowest end and had the worst job possible. Even if he would have escaped he would have been stationed there again anyway had he been caught. Before Orion and D-16 found him he didn't have a real motive to escape, there was no way for him to improve his situation in the context of the functionist system Cybertron had. When he says they can't go up the levels he is telling them there is no way for lower level bots to be promoted.
See I would agree with that but he said he slept there and everything. Made junk friends. Someone who is only there for work wouldn't do all that. The others you see actively coming & going to work. It seems as though he was banished there. Which makes sense since he talks so much. Probably got on someone's nerve lol I could be wrong. I'll go back and watch that scene again. Your interpretation would clean that up but things he said implies he was trapped there. 🤷🏾♂️
@@DSIkonz in a way he is "banished". You are not wrong. He is marginalized. A functionist system determines someone's worth based on their function, and Bumblebee's was perceived as the lowest. He is useless in everyone's eyes, that's why he had no friends and no one ever came to talk to him. Moreover the last 10 levels are implied to be kept secret from the rest, so there are very few selected bots who would have known he even existed. The upper level citizens were fed lies, like when Orion and D-16 disappeared: after Orion comes back as Optimus one of the miners tells him they were told both of them perished in an accident!
Bumblebee knows how to get out but he didn't have a reason to. He was trapped there coz that was his job. When Orion and D-16 had the idea to escape on an adventure, that was his reason; plus, he had new friends to go on an adventure with.
Where did you hear this from? I mean, most movies come out on streaming services months after the theatre release. It's not on streaming services yet. It'll probably be on them in November or December of this year which is normal time for streaming services as far as I'm aware. I looked it up, it is set for the normal amount of time to come out on streaming services.
This movie was good, and I admit I didn't have high expectations. But for the first time, a movie I wanted to watch and the family came with me, my wife actually enjoyed it and stayed woke through the whole movie...... that's a first.
I initially was going to pass on the film because of the terrible trailer, too. I subsequently saw effusively positive reviews from critics and friends, so I timidly checked it. I didn't like the vouce actor for Bumblebee, and Bumblebee didn't act like BUMBLEBEE; despite this, I THORoughly enjoyed the film, pleasantly surprised. Great review, by the way!
The Transformers is my favorite toon in existence bro but I just cannot get my ass up to see this, the live action films you can blame for that, the Bumblebee film wasn't too bad and I haven't seen that in the theater either Yea bro ill just wait for it to come on bluray I'll be paying more money for that than seeing it in the screening but oh well..and you're right about one thing I'm so tired of the human interaction in some of these films
Totally agree about Megatron's situation. The problem is that they gave Optimus many of the attributes that should have been Megatron's. In the comics Megatron is the one fighting the regime and spreading propaganda, HE is the one to give raise to the lower classes AND win the respect of the worrior class by fighting as a gladiator after he is imprisoned unjustly, beaten, and then sent to be brain washed. In this movie the writers eliminated all that R stuff, made Elita convince the worriors to listen to Orion, and made Orion win the hearts of the miners. Megatron's support group should have been MASSIVE. The whole reason why the Autobots are forced out of their planet is because they were outmatched and outnumbered! Without this depth for Megatron's character its hard to move forward with the story in a way that makes sense. They made Megatron look like a kid that got angryand violent because Santa Claus was not a good boy, instead of the mighty worrior and tactical genius protegee he was supposed to be.
Yeah I first saw the trailer,, I was like why didn't they just do the story from the graphic novel Megatron's Origin TF Prime did something similar, an adaptation
@@DSIkonz and his backstory in TF Prime is adapted after the comic "Megatron's Origins" 😆, which got reeased in 2007, way before the animated show. And in TF Prime they kept the key events like in the comics, that's why these 2 work and the movie's does not.
Just like you I was not a fan of the choice of Starscream's AV either. They just went out of their way to get new/young voic actors for every character, and then there was Starscream sounding like a tired old man. XD Also B was not trappened in the sense you think he was. He was just demoted to the lowest of levels/tier, and even if he escaped he would be put right back if caught by the supervisors. Just like Orion when he went up into an archives. He was a bot who was in the miner class/caste, and if their caste was caught in areas they were not supposed to be they were punished (mostly demoted, and loosing privileges, but the supervisiors actually treathened Orion with a beating, and Dreadwing actually hit D-16). The only thing I don't agree with you on is that in my opinion Megatron's motives are not weak at all. Sentinel mutilated generations of Transformers (D-16 among them), plucking one of their very important organs (t-cog) out of their chests. Then he created a system where these bots were treated as secondary citizens and were slaving away at the most dangerous jobs in their whole life, opressed, and abused. Also the film is not in your face about it, but these cogless bots were treated badly, and there are some darker implications (like D-16 saying that them being punched in the face was deserved because they talked back to a supervisor, or how Elita was treated, or B who couldn't even leave his sub-level because their shift manager did lot let him, or how Dreadwing treathened Orion with a beating just because he found him in the library/archives). D-16 was a good guy who was pushed too far, and snapped.
As a 6 yr old i had prime when he 1st came out & been an enthusiast since then. This TF One is what the world should have gotten in the 1st place. I think Hasbro needs to fire the Paramount & get rid of the same crusty producers; douché bag bay, Spielberg, Lorenzo, & the rest. These old bats are what is causing the stigma from having TF succeed. I did enjoy the movie, especially Brian Tyree Henry, he blew it out of the park. Thor, i could hear his aussie accent & couldn’t vibe with it.
Original cartoons were great for the time (not so much now) and the 86 movie is still great by today's standards. Still the #1 TF movie but this one was good as well
Charlie Adler voice Starscream in the live action movies, while Steve Blum voice Starscream in Transformers prime. I think Steve Buscemi did a good take on a G1 style Starscream.

Yeah that was pretty dope
I also love that Megatron punches OP with his gun 😂

Guys I’m sad. I’m worried we’re not getting a sequel. The thing’s already coming to streaming 😢
Unfortunately because of terrible marketing, it's not doing too well in theaters.

Yeah, but since it's not doing so well, it may not get the rest of it's trilogy since no one showed up

By the end of the movies had grew on me.
I saw the trailer and said "hell naw", but I enjoyed it not gonna lie.
It was excellent!
Just saw the movie, not gonna lie I was very disappointed. Dispite what some people may say about it. Definitely NOT better than the 86 film
Wow you didn't like it? Well art is subjective.
Thanks for watching
You had 20 people?? We only had like 6 including us...
Lol yeah about 20 at the first showing on a Sunday
The original cartoons weren’t great..so Transformers One is a welcomed addition to the brand.

Actually you are correct. I always thought Steve Blum was the voice actor for both.
