People here saying this is a bad deal. I dont understand this logic. Max is a decent player and the type the Leafs actually need. He can score a few goals here and there but what hes good at is getting under players skin. Leafs dont have many of these type of players and someone like Domi is what they need. They dont need anymore scoring forwards. This team needs to get more physical.
The people that are negative are not Leaf fans. They are irrelevant.

Not sure if you followed his career but seems more like players easily get under his skin and then proceeds to take very stupid penalties. I’m happy for leaf’s fans cause the majority of you seem to like Domi but I have a feeling, now that he got this contract, like his front teeth, he will disappear on the ice!

4 years for Domi... guess Leafs had no choice but to agree. Thought maybe 3.5M, but this is close enough. His chemistry with #34 is why he got a new contract to stay, and hopefully that continues. That chemistry also allows them to envision no Marner around, and that the team would not totally collapse without him. If Bertuzzi agrees to 4.5M x 4, fine with me. More likely he'll want 5M x 5. If so, Leafs might have to take a pass and look elsewhere.
Especially with Minten and Cowan coming up, no need for an overpriced Marner. Here's hoping he waives his NMC for even just one team and they take what they can get for him.
No Bertuzzi not a fan go for Stamkos or Debrusk on short term deals.

Domi isn't a bad player but the main hype around Domi when it comes to the leafs is his last name. His father was one of the leafs best enforcers and was a fan favorite in the early 2000s.

@cndnclassics5874 leafs are reportedly offering tanev a 6 year deal with a cap hit of 2 million to balance the money. We'll see what happens and as for Zadorov, I like him but he is asking for too much money even if leafs had the cap space. I would like to see him with the leafs though

The Oilers organization make far better decisions than the Leafs. Treliving makes terrible decisions . How do the Leafs miss out on better players than Domi like Foegele, Henrique and a guy like Elkholm on D? Oilers game with one goal of a Stanley Cup. Leafs tie up mediocre players for years.. They are terrible at spotting value and talent. That's 50 years of failure. Look at the Oilers and Panthers organizations, far , far better than Leafs "scouting".
