he aint lying,it is pretty fast and blows a good air
The fact that they made it seem better than a ceiling fan is what got me. That little fan is cool, like I’d buy three for my hallway but it can’t beat a ceiling fan
Definitely better than a really terrible ceiling fan!
It actually better than you would think. I use it in my garage and it moves a lot of air.
Oh I plan on getting one or two, but I’m not replacing any of my ceiling fans with this.
@@kevingerardscott6759 Oh. Well I don't think they were suggesting that.
@@ajspice kind of looks that way to me BUT that’s a matter of perception. You and I have different perceptions of the ad and that’s ok
Love this fan. Built a fixtuer especially for it. And any remote will run the fans and lights, so you can have multiple and still only use 1 remote
Correct!
It may be really small, but it really does the job!
That's what she said. Lmao
Sams has them for 39.99!!!!
Thank you Dan spiffy
I saw this on Game Show Network today!
My basement floods often I’m thanking about getting a few of theses and putting them down there.
They wont keep it from flooding but they will help dry the water
@@dspiffy what I was thinking
Notice it still wobbles a bit?
Yep. It sure does. Kinda scary sometimes...
Never knew this existed!
Hunter should make a Hunter Original socket fan
It would probably be too heavy
Can you convince Lasko about making their 1990s box fans desk fans and stand fans plus the black and brass stand fans?
I dont know anyone at Lasko.
@@dspiffy the CEO of Lasko is Ed Vlacich.
@@idkanymore2746 I think they mean if they have direct contact with a Lasko employee
What if you get a normal Ceiling fan with light fixture and put these in light bulb sockets on the ceiling fan
You could
You trying to fly away ain't you. Lol
Lol
Lightception!
Ok my main question
Does it spin in both directions
Because if it does I’m gonna put it in a broan recessed light socket fan
Downdraft only
@@dspiffy damn
Why do you need it to reverse?
@@dspiffy he would use it in those Can light bathroom fans to make it an ultra fart sucker 3000™️
I wish it reversed too. Next version.
Bulky box fans?? Dude. That was a Holmes HABF20. THAT weighs like 2 pounds, and I'm surprised that tje blade didn't break when it fell LOL!!
Terrible box fan! Socket fan much better!
@@dspiffy fuck socket fan! box fan ftw
I recently purchased one of these. The amount of cool air they produce (even in the low setting) is amazing. Perfect for a room with little to no ventilation. Gonna get me another one, whether I need it or not,.
You sound like an advertisement 😂
Does it work in vaulted sockets
Yes, I would get a switch adapter for it
That's so cool, not sure how good they are but I really want one
They are actually pretty good
How long is the extension for this fan?
About 6" I think. I havent measured it
I need one but my sockets are sideways it is not straight down so I can't put it in😢😢
They sell bendable socket extenders on Amazon
Talking about str@ightalk1, something is wrong about the fan I ordered...must be a dead battery (remote)
That’s the same problem I have.
@@dspiffyare they steady or even safe?
@@user-tc4bz2ue9g yes
0:44, somewhat true but you can get used to installing a real ceiling fan. Idk about the ceiling fan installation. Wiring part is understandable though.
Looks like a cool little product...but trying to convince people to replace their ceiling fans for this , i think is a bad idea lol
It's certainly an interesting marketing tactic
@@dspiffybro you are meat riding the fan bruh💀
I prefer a industrial ceiling fan, specifically Envirofan gold line
but no body is talking about when the light bulb goes out and then what?
Unfortunately most LED based products are not repairable in this way. If the LEDs fail, which is unlikely (drivers usually fail long before the diodes) you just get a new one.
Fanstick™ compatible? Asking for a friend.
Our R&D will have to come up with SocketFanStick(TM)
Reversible?
No
This looks like a 2000s commercial lol...... is it???
I think it was just made!
I would be worried that it would somehow fall out of the socket!
Hasnt happened yet
I don't get the clockwise rotation as over time that might cause the fan to come unscrewed some.
@@ikonix360 Yeah, that’s what I am worried about, possibly having the fan unscrew itself from the socket. Also, I’m pretty sure that light sockets are not supposed to be supporting more than what a light bulb weighs, so unless this fan weighs no more than a pound or so, I’d be worried about it putting some kind of strain on the socket and causing failure that way. Overall, this seems like a pretty unnecessary product. While a cool concept, let’s face it, it’s probably much safer and easier to deal with a fan on the floor, or if you really want the fan on the ceiling, install a real ceiling fan.
I find them to be a very useful product
@@dspiffy the problem will be screwing this into plastic keyless fixtures and as it ages and wobbles start to make the connections on the keyless loosen creating a nice little arc and melting the keyless causing a fire.
0:23 I highly doubt he is feeling the air from that fan
These are actually very powerful. I measured 1300 CFM
You would be surprised. I have one and it works really well.
@@dspiffy That's double my leaf blower.
No you can feel thr air. Blows better that most ceilig fans with long blades.
Was going to order one for my kitchen but I realized that I would still have to do wiring & these aren't cheap either. I can buy a regular fan for that price. Who has just a bulb socket in there cieling. Maybe in a closet. This company sure has hit the gutter. Must be own by China now.
Why would you have to do wiring?
@@dspiffy because who has a light where you can just screw in a bulb like that in there kitchen. People usually have a nice light up, hanging light even. So you would have to put one in. As I said in my closets I have them.
They are designed for recessed cans and bare sockets. Lots of people have recessed cans.
@@dspiffy a lot of people don't.
I know people are stupid, but the dramatization of someone trying to wire up a fan without a mount installed just wow. last three I installed either had space between downrod and roof or a hook to hang motor from for wiring.
This is a socket fan
but u cant reverse it like the real thing😢
Some versions are reversible, but I dont see why you'd need to.
I NEED ONE
eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Lowes
:46 ... If that's your attempt at a flush mount install, you have no business screwing anything into a light socket 😂😂. I get they have to dramatize things to sell their product, but wow lol.
"Just throw it up there"
@@CasaPanaFanaLanda haha!
Exactly! They need SocketFan(TM)
I like soket fan i not danjar i play with this fan
I am not very pleased with the Bell * Howell Socket Fan! The fan was installed in our master bathroom and did not provide us with any coolness! The light was sufficient for the space since there is an alternate light in the same space! I would not recommend this particular socket light to anyone! Typically, ceiling fans have a button that allows you to push air upward or downward. This was not an option and possibly the key to forcing down cool air…. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I would rate this socket fan a 1. If not satisfied, the customer should have the option of returning this item within 10-14 days of purchase for a full refund!
These come default set to downdraft, I dont see why reversible would be needed.
Don't be surprised it doesn't move much air. What were you thinking? Its tiny. It ain't gonna spread the air like a normal fan.
@@kaysonthefancollector8826 true but the velocity is actually really really high
@@dspiffy if they put a reverse it can screw out that's why there isnt one.
@@jrock865 Look more carefully. It only spins CW. If it were able to unscrew itself, it would.
0:47 they acted so dramatic 😒
