Hopefully these ones become successful and available everywhere. Very cool
I got my 2 fans today. I absolutely love them .The fan is powerful like a big fan and the light lite my place up like I hadn't seen before. I can not say enough good things about this Socket Fanlight
I went to my Lowe's this morning and they just stocked these fans and just like i said i bought two lol, these things are beastly.......you were dead- on with this one 👌👌👍👍
Glad you like them too!
I might buy out the stock eventually, because they're so convenient lol
I would!
This device was love at first sight. It works better than expected but their life spans are 3months. A wonderful summer fling.
Ours have lasted way longer than that.
I was looking for these things everywhere! Very cute.
Cant tell if you're being serious
@@dspiffy I am. Remember you asked me to look for these? I spent like three hours on it 😩
I seen them at Walmart.
I officially got one Dan Spiffy!
Nice!
I’m honestly considering putting one of these in my bedroom closet. I was thinking of installing my Monte Carlo Micro 24” fan and hook it up with a plug sucker thing but it would barely fit and probably not move much air. This on the other hand I can see doing a better job due to the size.
AWW its so adorable! I want one! Dunno what the heck id do with it as i have no ceiling fixtures that would support it (either horizontal double bulb or flat panel LEDs) but still neat.
I got mine at Home Depot in Winnipeg
I think maybe you must substract the center element from the air flow calculations. Isn’t a lot, is only about 7%. So final flow could be about 1200
The correct way to do it would be to measure the entire surface area of the fan, including the center, then average the readings. But we do some fans that are 5' and larger and you have to be on a ladder. We decided just to simplify.
I never got the reverse pitch on socket fans. More likely to unscrew themselves. I wonder if it’s just hard to get the manufacturer to make them “normal” pitched since most portables and mini ceiling fans go clockwise
I see what you guys mean by the reverse pitch, but did you notice the illustration on the box shows normal pitch instead of reverse like the actual product is in reality?
I was on a hunch for the warmest bulbs and flushing my house with them. However now Im putting daylights in closets and yeah utility room locations. I got to see one in person and if its just right I may get one for sng.
I have one of these in my collection
I just tried one and it’s good for it’s size but I returned it because you can’t change the fan direction to get the downward air flow, the light is good, I tried it under my back porch roof overhang.
They only go downward airflow
They need to spin counter clock wise for down flow? - These only go clockwise??????
@@92slapshot no.
i am thinking of getting one of these for myself so I can try one one out since I never had a experience with a socket fan
Im definitely getting a couple of these for sure👍👍
You should!
The lowes near me has a slew of them I did get one but I had to return it because it worked one second and then it stopped working couldn’t get the remote to work either afterwards it stopped working but the concept is cool behind this I’m gonna get another one and hopefully it works better than the last one I bought and returned
Sams has them for 39.99!!!
I'm getting one for myself
I just got one from lowes
Make sure your fire insurance is paid up.
why?
I am so mad mine does not work I change the battery and everything no working 50 dallor light
What type of fan? This same model?
Hello does this works With the lights off from your room so cool off the summer nights
Yes you can use it with the light off!
If anyone has a video on how to resurrect one of these from the dead, please share I miss my old friend
Since they are still being solid, I would just buy a new one and put the old one back in the box and return it.
We've had several for several months now, none have failed yet
Awesome
i need 2 of those for my garage lmao id use them
Nice video
Thanks!
I would use those fan lights in the light sockets in the basement of that church you are working on.
We already are thinking about that, but which sockets would you pick?
@@dspiffy Why not all of them?
Some are on the walls. Some are too close to each other.
@@dspiffy Then maybe as many of the sockets as you can would be cool.
That's what I am trying to figure out.
I wonder if the capacitor in that old organ shop one has drifted a little. Unless those are shaded pole
They are small shaded pole motors I believe. I've never opened one.
These are about 15.8 inches I measured mine when I first got it
You see that sometimes if the factory uses the metric system, so it’ll be “in between inches”. Some “56 inch” industrials are closer to 55 because the factory used 140cm instead of exactly 56 inches
It's cool it's just most places this isn't a very good option...it would have to be a small room to cool good and if you need light and a fan in like a workshop or something you could buy a box fan and a brooder light and put a regular bulb in it and save 10 bucks
I would much rather have this than a new box fan.
@@dspiffy does it put out more air than one?
I need to measure and see but it's more velocity and quieter
Reverse pitch so it won’t unscrew itself..
Nope.
I am not very pleased with the Bell * Howell Socket Fan! The fan was installed in our master bathroom and did not provide us with any coolness! The light was sufficient for the space since there is an alternate light in the same space! I would not recommend this particular socket light to anyone! Typically, ceiling fans have a button that allows you to push air upward or downward. This was not an option and possibly the key to forcing down cool air…. On a scale of 1-10 with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, I would rate this socket fan a 1. If not satisfied, the customer should have the option of returning this item within 10-14 days of purchase for a full refund!
These come default set to downdraft, I dont see why reversible would be needed.
3d print some bigger blades for this bad boy. The motor is strong enough to handle atleast 4 more inches on each blade.
Not a bad idea!
Cool through but keep u from getting hot
I would never buy this because the commercial actually has written in the script the guy saying "RIGHT?". Are you asking the audience to respond to you? U need permission? Anyone says rhetorically that word to me I will never respond to them ever nor will I buy their product
That's really weird to avoid an otherwise good product because of one word in the commercial.
Bro, do you really need 30 minutes to explain a fan?
Yes.
