I bought this phone as an upgrade from my 2021 Stylus 5g. I really like all the features but one thing I miss is Google screening service. It was so nice to hit "screen call" and have the phone print out what the caller is saying. Another feature I woiuld like to see is "readittome" which I had on my old phone. Made it so easy to listen to incoming texts read out loud so I didn't have to look at the phone every time the notification sounded.
I was waiting to see your review on this. I’m considering this phone because it’s the best G Stylus that Motorola has made in many years. The only downside is only one OS update and 3 years of security updates. But as we’ve seen with Pixels, sometimes regular updates can cause as many problems as they fix. And phones can still function safely even after support officially ends. As long as the Android version is supported and used by the Google Play Store, it’s safe to use. Great review here!
@@AndroidDigest it’s not the best phone as far as support goes but I do think Motorola is better than most Google and Samsung phones in that price range. Pixels aren’t as stable as Motorola phones and Galaxies aren’t as smooth as stock Android. Plus, I love the Moto actions and other features like Peek Display. The only things holding Motorola back are lack of long term support and lack of good IP ratings on lower to midrange phones.
One OS update? I was thinking of either getting this or the edge plus coming from an iPhone but that just threw me off. I’ll probably end up getting a Samsung phone if I don’t get an iPhone again 😖
I went from the 22 to the 23 and it was a major upgrade. Especially the camera. But the duel speakers are kinda quiet compared to the 2020 stylus. I want to know if the 24 speakers are louder than the 23
@@flint9889 24 is louder than 22 but i never owned 23. it still doesn't replace a good Bluetooth speaker especially in terms of bass but it's better than 22s speakers which you couldn't hear at all while taking a shower or something

Nice review I have a 2021 Stylus 5G which has been great but since the security support is over now it looks like the 2024 model would be a nice upgrade, just waiting for my carrier to get it in stock.
Yeah, this is definitely a good upgrade! I'm sure it will come to more carriers soon. AT&T just got it I heard, more and more carriers are starting to get it.
Motorola updates are not very good. Your best android bet for upgrades are Samsung and Google pixels. One Plus is better than Motorola too for support time frame.
Nice review! The unlocked just went on sale again for US$250, so I had to upgrade from my 2019 Moto G7. My wife ordered one too. Can't wait to get them!
thank you for this review! You've convinced me to get this phone :) I have been searching for new phones to get because my Pixel 6a has stopped working completely, so I need to get a new phone. My sister has an older version of this motorola phone and she likes it so I think I'll get this newer version of it
First search result in searching this device on UA-cam. Great review. Only issue, the 3 years of security updates began on the release date. You said, "one major os update and 3 years security updates", but Moto considers all updates as security updates. I really appreciated you showing actual usage, even if it was just for the camera. Looks pretty snappy. I wish you had shown the device next to other devices, with screens on. The only thing I miss is a text/hand/screen comparison. How tall are you? Can you palm a basketball? Almost? Easily? No way?
Just got this phone 2 weeks ago, Watching videos learning about the features. I am super excited knowing I got such an excellent phone and only ended up paying $39.99. Boost told me I was eligible for an upgrade and they were offering this phone at such a good price.
That's a very good deal. Boost, cricket, Metro they all offer deals on this phone. In reality though this phone is worth $300 to $400 easily (in value when compared). So you got a great deal
@@patriciabeecher72I think it all depends on the type of phone that you have because I just got this phone and my monthly bill went down $4 because I was coming from using the Moto edge Plus from 2022 and I was paying $72 with that phone and with this phone I'm paying $68 per month
@@patriciabeecher72 no Actually my plan went down $5, My plan was 35 a month but for some reason they are giving me a $5 credit every month. I love boost.
This will be my 1st Moto since the orignal Razor. I have a S20 + 5g. But my screen cracked so i ordered this one. Sounds like its a decent phone for the money thanks for the review im Paying 250 unlocked from amazon
I just bought an unlocked 256gb one on ebay for $250 new, open box in the caramel color. Didnt see any red ones at a decent price so i just stuck with the other color even though i prefer the red myself. Hope its a good buy, headphone jack and sd card slot is a big must for me
So my husband has always used Motorola he had the 2023 version it got broke so turned it in to insurance they didn't have the 2023 he got the 2024 upgrade for $75 and loves it
Hi, I am from Australia. I have got a Motorola Edge 30 Ultra now, but I want a phone with a stylus. Is it worth purchasing this one as a replacement? And would the phone work here?
I'm glad they bumped up the ram and storage this time..... And got lpddr5 speed ram this time, I think THAT'S why the stylus has way lower latency.... (writing/drawing like the S23 ultra) Can't wait to get it on Cricket wireless..... EVENTUALLY
Just subbed!! Great video! I just picked this up at cricket online with a port in for 0$!! First month will be 60$ but then ill do 5 months of their 15$ a month plan for 5 months, unlock it, toss it back on tello!! Im coming off dual wielding a pixel 3a (for the free photo storage) and a moto stylus 5g 22 so this is a true upgrade for me. Your review is spot on for this phone and it's definitely worth to pick up!! 👍👍
Coming from 2022 and 2023 version, this one is excellent and it's my favorite after One Ace. The only bummer is no charger included. Same 6 Gen 1 processor, 2024 version runs much better. Speakers are much better, but you need to tweak Dolby a bit. Display is pretty like Edge+ 2022 (same size)
I'm a Samsung guy for the last few years, but after my note broke, I was not going to spend that type of money on a phone again! this phone is awesome! coming in at $139.00 its a no brainer!!!!!
Curves screens are harder to repair. I just repair the stylus 2023 and it was so easy . But I have a one plus 7 pro with a curve screens and they are hard to repair
Hopefully it will come soon! They normally drop quite a bit. You can always check my link in the description to best buy too. They normally get open box units pretty quick. And that may help some.
I JUST WANT THIS PHONE! The fact that I was already satisfied with the 2022 Stylus 5g, just makes me want/need the 2024, considering that It's obviously better 😂. BUT that's because I'm used to mid-range phones 😅.
I would say they are pretty close. It would really be a preference thing. I think the haptic feedback and some small differences will feel a little more premium on the a35. The a35 will have more software updates, so there are definitely some advantages to it. The Moto is going to have its own unique software, I think the performance will be ever so slightly better, I think the cameras are pretty equal. And it comes with a stylus. So it's really a preference thing
Does this phone have ready for, that allows the phone to become a desktop similar to samsung dex through usb-c? does the phone work with two esims at the same time?
I read up on this phone and realized it only has 1 one OS upgrade in its lifetime and 3 years of security updates. Most phone have 5 to 7 years updates on both.
I just purchased my Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 phone off the Boost Mobile site for my upgrade for $39.99 including tax and protection plan roundup $51.19..... The 2024 is way much better than the previous ones that Motorola had came out especially with the 6.7" pOLED display screen and Dolby Atmos dual-speaker so you can get that cinematic feel with very thin bezels. Moto G Stylus 2024 phone it's a little bit better than the Pixel 8a because of the display. Pixel 8a have a small display and very bad thick bezel😂 haha!!!
@@AndroidDigest I know right...I need a new phone ASAP and didn't wanna pay an arm and a leg for because I needed to save money for my other bills 😂 lol.
I read it does from a comment on reddit, but didn't notice it when I was testing, wasn't looking for it, but someone confirmed here www.reddit.com/r/MotoG/comments/1d8xmbt/i_love_the_new_moto_g_stylus_2024_5g/
That's a tough question. It's got an OLED display, more RAM, newer software with more updates. And a better camera. Is that enough? I guess it depends on what you paid, and what you're willing to pay, and what prepaid carrier you're on. It's a great upgrade. But your phone will be semi-close with performance. And software. It's a must for anyone 2022 and below. For you? It's a toss up.
Can you change the setting on the locked screen to show the time and battery % when charging? I noticed when you put the phone on the wireless charger that it only showed the charging %. I've had moto for 7 years and I love it but having the time and the % on my locked screen is my favorite thing about moto.
@@AndroidDigest A man at boost allowed me to test one out. No it cannot be changed to how the moto g stylus 2021 is. The phone settings are massively different than the ones I'm used to, to me it's more like an iPhone but I get easily stumped with a little change. I think it was a moto g that I had the 1st time before the 2021, it had almost the exact same settings as the 2021 stylus and I bought the 1st one around 2019. Sorry I got the time I've had moto wrong in my original comment.
It depends. If your phone number is still active yes you can transfer it to metro or cricket. OR you can buy it unlocked. And put your sim card from your carrier in it. Any carrier will work. But if your phone service was cancelled, normally your phone number goes away too. They may give it like 30 days or so. But then that number gets recycled
It ticks many many boxes. Will it be released in Europe? I'm waiting to upgrade my 3+ year old now Moto G 5G plus(which is still going quite strong btw)
Not a fan of Moto cheaping out on the processor the 12r can literally get the 12r for 400 just by trading in any phone any condition it's just a better phone in everyway imo. great review man!.
I agree with you 100%. If I judge every phone based on 12r specs though we'd be in trouble 😂😂. Especially with that "secret" sale it has. And this phone comes with a stylus so I judge it more like a $350 phone with a $50 stylus. Yeah the specs are worse than the 12r but compared with most $350 phones it's pretty good. And I'm telling you my personal experience. Because I've had this processor on other phones. It's got a special level of smoothness here. As you can see in the footage in the video. And I'm also expecting some massive sales soon. I try to give advice that will last. The Motor G Stylus from last year has went to like $200ish unlocked within a year. So we would see sales all year long getting cheaper and cheaper. The 12R is an amazing deal too though. I'd say the best value phone out. But I still think this phone is okay/decent for $400. Maybe good for $400 due to my experience. BUT it will get very very good as a value over time. Remember best buy already has open box units and it's only been a week. That will save you $50 already for something that's obviously barely been out the box
@@AndroidDigest that's very true I'd be very intrigued if OnePlus ever put out a stylus version of their phone I think Moto would have to step it up cause I'd suspect that OP would figure out a way to make a Samsung style stylus somehow for around the same price lol 😆
That's true! I'd be interested too. That's another factor though. There's very little stylus competition. Only a few phones come with one. But I enjoy OnePlus lately. They've been a great value
@@AndroidDigest i think we also forget that some people, myself included, want to use this as its own thing, like a more up to date ipod. this is bigger, better, and faster than the last iteration of the ipod or those zunes, and it does 100x more yet it is the same price as the ipod. we forget how good of a deal that is. this does way more than what a simple mp3 player could do, especially if its a closed system ipod, and its the same price. add in the 2TB SD Card storage along with the 256gb internal storage, headphone jack. and everything else is just a solid bonus.
I'm thinking about replacing my Galaxy A54 5G which is a replacement phone I'm thinking about either getting the Galaxy A35 5G or the Galaxy A25 5G or the Galaxy A16 when it comes out or the Motorola G Power 2024 or Motorola G Stylus 2024 or Motorola G 5G 2024. is buying Moto Care and Samsung Care+ worth buying with the phones?
Geez. First of all, I'd recommend going with the Moto G Stylus 2024 5G or the A35. The A35 is basically the same thing as the A54. Just very minor differences. The Moto will allow you to completely switch it up. But again all of these phones are similar quality. Going to the A25 or a lesser phone is going to make it worse for you. Keep that in mind. The A55 (not available in the US, only works on certain carriers) or the S23 FE, those would be real upgrades
I'm trying the edge right now. I don't notice much of a difference performance wise, but it can charge faster, it has slightly better performance, and I'm assuming the camera is a slight bump up too. But no stylus. The Edge is very light, at times some will think it's cheap feeling because of that, the haptic feedback is lower quality, the same as this moto stylus, so the main "edge" appears to be in slightly better performance, and charging speeds. And water resistance too. If you care about those, yeah, but if you care about the stylus, it's not significant enough imo to get you away from a stylus phone. I think it just matters on if you want a stylus or not.
That's a good question! VERY good question. PERSONALLY I would. The haptic feedback is worse. The software updates are worse. I would even argue the camera may be SLIGHTLY worse. Performance may be the same on benchmarks, and the A35 may even have a slightly better display. So I think most people would prefer the A35, but for me having the stylus was really fun, and I was just shocked at how good the software felt on this. It felt smoother than the A35 5G, but it wasn't because the A35 was bad, it was just because the software here felt unique, the animations felt fast, things like that. So I would argue the A35 5G for most, but this is VERY close, a small step down, but for me personally I'd chose it for the stylus and the moto software that I liked. But the A35 is technically better in most ways. I just had fun with this phone if that makes sense. So I recommend the A35, but I say this is funner for me.
@@AndroidDigest nice I'm just a big fan of tech and phones, and it seems like this is probably like a different type of phone that has came out in a long time.
Metro is trying to charge me 150 plus tax for some reason... Supposedly it unlocks after 6 months but I dk if I want to risk $150 especially bc it won't be updated after Android 15.
Has to be on the $75 plan. And to my knowledge you'll have to have it active for 6 months. On a plan for 6 months. I'm guessing you can switch it plans after the first month to something lower. But still. At that point you'll have paid the unlock price anyway
I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything like that. But if spending 150 dollars on a phone is a big deal, then you should probably just stick with the phone that you have
That's not the problem. He's saying it says free, but then shows up as $150 at checkout. That's because if you are putting a cheaper plan in the cart, it raises the price, you have to be on the $70 plan.
Has anyone tested the night mode photos and video, I have seen all the photos and videos in daytime. If it's possible to showcase the nightmode results
I will say it's probably more of a weak point for this phone, but again, it depends on expectations, I'm still pleasantly surprised overall, but my expectations were very low for the camera. It's still not up to par with some of the better cameras, but still good for the money.
I wonder what will happen with 2025? Anyway, I bought this when it came out for $400. Yes, I could have got the less internal memory and more garbage-ware and got it through my provider - but I really prefer unlocked and as un-tethered as possible. And I sent my $1200 Sony Xperia 1 VI back!!! Google Fi, Mobile-T, and AT&T do not support it. But I wanted expandable memory & headphone jack. My Samsung s10 was the best - but they kept raising the price and taking away features. So I have it all in this Moto Stylus G 2024 and it has a much brighter screen than many other phones, including my wonderful, but dark s10.
The one big thing that they are missing is the 4K camera, they had it in the last years model, why get rid of it for the later years to come, it makes no sense to me.
Well when I look at the specs online, like in GSMArena, PhoneArena, and Phone Scoop, they do not mention 4K camera specs at all. Ok, if it does have 4K camera, will it be able to do 4k in 60fps this year?
@@ericodavias83before I bought this phone I saw the same thing that online it didn't advertise it as having 4K video shooting but after I bought it yesterday I was messing around in the camera and saw that it actually does shoot 4K video and no it only shoots at 30FPS if you try to switch it to 60fps while in 4K it will switch the video resolution to 1080p
Just saw this phone at Costco for $399.00. I was look to purchase a use Ultra S23 ($700-$900) or new S24 but the price is too high $1900.00 (Costco). I need help with a phone that has lots of storage and close to a Ultra S24 but not cost that much?? 🇨🇦
Here's the thing. This will give you a stylus. If that's your main purpose you just don't have a lot of options. So yeah it's one of your only options at a cheaper price. But when you go from a flagship phone like an s23 or s24 ultra to this you will notice a lot of minor differences that add up. Worse speakers, worse vibration motor, less pen features, and the camera is a lot worse vs those flagships. It's a great phone for free or $250 to $350 but it's not anywhere close to the $1,000 flagships. If you don't care about the stylus and you are looking purely from a value standpoint, the OnePlus 12R is a great value, around $500 and it has last year's flagship processor so it's faster than this, the screen is right there with the s23 ultra. It's essentially as powerful and good looking as that phone but at a much cheaper price. It just sacrifices the zoom cameras. If your good with that, (I reviewed it on my channel) I'd go that route. Or look for an s23 ultra on the used market in mint condition. But if you can't do those things and you desperately want a stylus, it's the s24 ultra, or the s23 ultra, or this. Or a much older phone with an s pen
I really want this device. Cricket Recently released it, but i currently have the moto g 5g 2024 and wish i would have waited for this release as ive always enjoyed the stylus series of Motorola. Now i cant upgrade again until another year in order to obtain the discounted price 😢
Give it a little time. If they have any "new line deals", just a tip at that point. Add a new line online. If you're desperate, pay $15 on eBay for a number to "port over". Get the phone discounted, and then swap phones with that line. Just make sure that line doesn't auto renew. You can even get a phone number on ebay here: www.ebay.com/itm/125700238566 - $15 and you can pay for a number to port. I've done it twice with success. So if they eventually offer the G Stylus 2024 for free for "new lines" you will just pay $15+one month of service, maybe $75 total, and you will end up with a $75 phone essentially. Better than the $229 upgrade price. Sometimes they bring it down to $90 but even then you'll be cheaper than the upgrade price. But hopefully this helps.
@@AndroidDigest thanks for the insight. I believe I'll wait to see if cricket offers it "free" to customers and attempt to proceed with the adding of a new line as you suggested 🥰
I also have Cricket, it's not ideal but when I want a new phone instead of upgrading I just add a line and then use the new phone on my line and cancel the "new line" before the bill cycle restarts. Not ideal but it works!
I finally got one and did what you said and ported the number, added it to my existing line so I only paid 20 dollars and once it came I called cricket to cancel the new line. So I essentially got this phone for only 20 bucks. I also enjoy it so far.
Wish this phone was being sold here in Brazil. I wanted to try out a stylus experience on a phone but there are so few phones with one. And the ones that do have it are expensive flagships (looking at the galaxy ultra line)
Yes. Slightly better. But yes. 4k video. A better display too. There are some perks. A slightly better phone without a stylus is the Moto Edge. Obviously that has a curved screen. But it has a similar vegan leather back, it's slightly faster. Slightly faster charging. It's a slight step above this. The G Power is close. But it's lacking a few things
Interesting enough, I'm bringing both of those films back into my studio to test them personally again in the next few days. I go from phone to phone, but I want to spend more time with these two. I think it's a really really close call. This is me speaking before I test them out again, but from my past reviews, I would say that the Motorola has slightly better hardware, but the Samsung does have a little bit of an edge as far as software updates and stability. Samsung is known for giving more updates in the long run, and they do give updates much sooner than Motorola. So Motorola has a slight Edge in speed, I would say the screens are pretty similar, Samsung has a slight Edge with the haptic feedback and with the speakers. So overall it's a very very close race
@@AndroidDigest I usually have moto phones mines from 2021 so I can't get android 14. Plus I can upgrade to the moto for 39.99 and not $150 for the Samsung but I'm having a hard time deciding. I don't do games of anything. Just usual use.
I agree mostly. I think some people would prefer this though because they really want a stylus. That 12r retails for $500 though. This some people can find in the $300's new and for $0 even on the prepaid market. So it's hard to judge. But yeah. The 12r is much better overall. The 7a is slightly better, but it's extremely extremely close. I'd argue for the Motorola for anyone who even would use the stylus at all. It's a really good phone.
Absolutely. Instead of just reviewing this phone on the side like as a secondary phone, this was definitely my daily driver. I enjoyed it. There's just too much choice out there for me to stay with one phone for very long. But it was definitely a blast. I like Moto software, I like having the option of a stylus, I like having a lighter phone. And it felt smooth to me!
So we were forced to get this phone because I just dropped my pixel 6a on a lake. I had an older version of this phone and I absolutely hated it.... Yes this one is better but I can really tell the difference and yes we are upset that this phone was 40 dollars more expensive than my pixel. Yes with the price range Im impressed but it does not compare. Now there is something I like I love my dule speakers I missed them so much but the photos SUCK like in my opinion the original photo before they process it is better, which is kind of irritating.
Does this phone have eSIM available? I love the looks and capabilities of this phone but how does this compare to the Samsung Galaxy A25 or A35, is it better value. My issue is Motorola's lack software updates and that to me is the deal breaker.
Yes it has esim. I'd argue the A35 is the best value, followed by the Moto G Stylus. I think it's better than the A25. I personally, due to the design, the pen, I like it more than the A35. But the A35 is a little bit of a better overall value.
FYI. I just got a moto g 5G 2023 on a holiday special.. I fried it, with my DeWalt 100w wall charge. 5A. 100w C to C cable. .. My revvl 6 pro (Rip) could handle the wall charger. But the moto g 5G has fast charging tech. I got the revvl to replace the Galaxy A32 that was having battery issues, from probably the wall charger. I'm thinking about this stylus next, now that I have a 30w 1.9Amp wall charger. . Also, the DeWalt wall charger was shutting off my 20k power bank.😮 . I love the Moto's because, I can charge my earbuds off the phone. Plus my vape pen into the phone.. . Just plug the cable into the phone.
@@AndroidDigest yeah, am not having that same experience at all. Takes forever to charge and the battery 🔋 doesn't last. I çan just keep it in my pocket and it will be losing battery life not doing anything. I've had it for weeks.

I'm getting this phone Friday for 250$ at best buy super excited!
Awesome deal
Very nice review. It was a great move to show camera cameraperson to the Pixel 7a. I'm surprised how close those shots were!
Yeah it's not as good with moving subjects due to shutter lag, maybe worse at night, but it's pretty close in daylight conditions!
I just got this exact phone from cricket wireless for $139 and it's really growing on me❤❤❤
It's really good for $139. Very good price
Same!!!!!
My last phone which is the moto G 5G 2023 and this phone takes it to a another level
You sold me..I am getting one Friday. I didn't like the curved screen on the Motorola Edge 2024 but the Stylus looks way better.
I'm with you, this is a flat screen and I prefer that. Hope you enjoy it!
Mine arrived a couple days ago. Love it. Nice upgrade from the 2021 model. It was unlocked on Amazon for $249.
My sister has an older version of this motorola phone and she likes it so I think I'll get this newer version of it
Hope you like it!
That was a really great review. I really appreciate your time in making this video.
Thank you, it means a ton. I really am a smaller youtuber with a family trying to help my family, so seriously, thank you

Almost? Easily? No way?
Lol I'm 6 foot tall. Can't palm a basketball though. Average size hands

Watching videos learning about the features.
I am super excited knowing I got such an excellent phone and only ended up paying $39.99.
Boost told me I was eligible for an upgrade and they were offering this phone at such a good price.
Just curious, did your monthly plan increase?
That's a very good deal. Boost, cricket, Metro they all offer deals on this phone. In reality though this phone is worth $300 to $400 easily (in value when compared). So you got a great deal
@@patriciabeecher72I think it all depends on the type of phone that you have because I just got this phone and my monthly bill went down $4 because I was coming from using the Moto edge Plus from 2022 and I was paying $72 with that phone and with this phone I'm paying $68 per month
I received the same deal through Boost as well. No, my plan stayed the same, no increase.

(writing/drawing like the S23 ultra)
Can't wait to get it on Cricket wireless..... EVENTUALLY
Yeah it's very very good this year
A great update I appreciate the insight

Just subbed!! Great video! I just picked this up at cricket online with a port in for 0$!! First month will be 60$ but then ill do 5 months of their 15$ a month plan for 5 months, unlock it, toss it back on tello!!
Im coming off dual wielding a pixel 3a (for the free photo storage) and a moto stylus 5g 22 so this is a true upgrade for me.
Your review is spot on for this phone and it's definitely worth to pick up!! 👍👍
Not a bad price at that point! Solid plan
So the phone is free if you bring your own number to switch over carriers?
Coming from 2022 and 2023 version, this one is excellent and it's my favorite after One Ace.
The only bummer is no charger included.
Same 6 Gen 1 processor, 2024 version runs much better.
Speakers are much better, but you need to tweak Dolby a bit.
Display is pretty like Edge+ 2022 (same size)
Good thoughts! I agree
I'm a Samsung guy for the last few years, but after my note broke, I was not going to spend that type of money on a phone again! this phone is awesome! coming in at $139.00 its a no brainer!!!!!
I've been on a Pixel 4A since it came out, but now there appears to be a worthy successor
Yeah this may be a good option for you, especially if you want that headphone jack
Would you say this or the Moto Edge 2024 is better. I was thinking the edge was but not sure about the curved screen. Thanks
The Edge is a better device.
Curves screens are harder to repair. I just repair the stylus 2023 and it was so easy . But I have a one plus 7 pro with a curve screens and they are hard to repair
The edge is better by a little bit.
I'm waiting for a motorola discount. 3.5mm jack and sd card slot has me sold
plus 3 years of security updates sounds good
Hopefully it will come soon! They normally drop quite a bit. You can always check my link in the description to best buy too. They normally get open box units pretty quick. And that may help some.
Can I still use my Galaxy earbuds with the Moto G Stylus 2024 phone?
Yes. Galaxy earbuds work on any android phone
I stick with Motorola because of that headphone jack.
2024 is their best lineup yet. Their finding their sweet spot
Is the phone water proof 0:52
Ip 52 rated, light splashes of water but not dunkable in water
I JUST WANT THIS PHONE! The fact that I was already satisfied with the 2022 Stylus 5g, just makes me want/need the 2024, considering that It's obviously better 😂. BUT that's because I'm used to mid-range phones 😅.
What carrier are you with?
I got mine for 179.00 at boost mobile.
Sleazy AT&T offering a stripped down version with half memory, equivalent to my 2020 LG phone. Always fleecing customers.
I guess it depends on what the retail price is that they are charging
How does this compare to the Samsung A35?
I would say they are pretty close. It would really be a preference thing. I think the haptic feedback and some small differences will feel a little more premium on the a35. The a35 will have more software updates, so there are definitely some advantages to it. The Moto is going to have its own unique software, I think the performance will be ever so slightly better, I think the cameras are pretty equal. And it comes with a stylus. So it's really a preference thing
@@AndroidDigest Thank you.

Can you turn off the 5G feature and only use 4G LTE?
I just purchased my Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 phone off the Boost Mobile site for my upgrade for $39.99 including tax and protection plan roundup $51.19..... The 2024 is way much better than the previous ones that Motorola had came out especially with the 6.7" pOLED display screen and Dolby Atmos dual-speaker so you can get that cinematic feel with very thin bezels. The performance on this phone is amazing compared to the basic Moto G 2024. Definitely worth the price difference.
For sure. A big jump
I currently have the Moto g stylus 5g 2023. Should i upgrade to the Moto g 5g 2024?
That's a tough question. It's got an OLED display, more RAM, newer software with more updates. And a better camera. Is that enough? I guess it depends on what you paid, and what you're willing to pay, and what prepaid carrier you're on. It's a great upgrade. But your phone will be semi-close with performance. And software. It's a must for anyone 2022 and below. For you? It's a toss up.
Probably depends if you're already a MetroPCS consumer then it might be worth it.
Coming from 2023 version, 2024 version is much better
Can you change the setting on the locked screen to show the time and battery % when charging? I noticed when you put the phone on the wireless charger that it only showed the charging %.
I've had moto for 7 years and I love it but having the time and the % on my locked screen is my favorite thing about moto.
Hopefully someone else can comment on it. I don't have my Moto with me to test
@@AndroidDigest okay thank you. I'll see if I can test it out on and active display phone.
CAn I use my prior phone # on this device?
Honestly I'm not sure of Europe release

12r has that yucky curved screen though. I had 12r and couldn't get past... At least I tried lol
@@AndroidDigest Thank you alot
glad to help
Can the phone do HDMI out? Would love to connect it to my tv via HDMI instead of screen mirroring.
Pretty sure HDMI out is not supported, like 80% sure.
All i use my phone for is calls, txt, emails and youtube, this phone is enough for me
is it worth adding $70 more and buy the edge instead?
Would you take this over a a35?

But if spending 150 dollars on a phone is a big deal, then you should probably just stick with the phone that you have
Galaxy a35 for 215
I ported my number and got it free with the $70 flex plan
That's not the problem. He's saying it says free, but then shows up as $150 at checkout. That's because if you are putting a cheaper plan in the cart, it raises the price, you have to be on the $70 plan.

Has anyone tested the night mode photos and video, I have seen all the photos and videos in daytime. If it's possible to showcase the nightmode results
I will say it's probably more of a weak point for this phone, but again, it depends on expectations, I'm still pleasantly surprised overall, but my expectations were very low for the camera. It's still not up to par with some of the better cameras, but still good for the money.
@@AndroidDigest Thanks for your review.
16 MP MACRO?! I NEEEEEED
Well you are saving a lot of other money compared to all of those other phones. That's for sure
The one big thing that they are missing is the 4K camera, they had it in the last years model, why get rid of it for the later years to come, it makes no sense to me.
The Moto G Stylus 2024 DOES have a 4k camera. Just not the Moto G Power.
I would have paid $599 if this rocked a 8gen2 or 8gen3
Yeah that would be nice!
I have the new one and it's very good
For sure. Great for the price
I'm a techie so I was silly enough to buy it unlocked.😅
That red color is so nice on the unlocked model 😂
I got mine at body for 112 after tax not bad phone
not bad at all! great phone
Is that the Metro or Cricket Wireless model?
This is the Metro model I tested
I just Got one I ❤ it
I finally got one and did what you said and ported the number, added it to my existing line so I only paid 20 dollars and once it came I called cricket to cancel the new line.
Yeah, not many stylus phones out
Is this phone ‘if it didn’t come with a Stylus’ , a better phone than the Motorola G Power ?
So do you think this is better than Samsung a35?
I paid 40 bucks Brand new Boostmobile with the longevity discount

haha, well I'm glad you're enjoy it! It's okay to be old! Just keep sharing wisdom with the world.
Better phones are a google pixel 7A or the One Plus 12 R😊
I agree mostly. I think some people would prefer this though because they really want a stylus. That 12r retails for $500 though. This some people can find in the $300's new and for $0 even on the prepaid market. So it's hard to judge. But yeah. The 12r is much better overall. The 7a is slightly better, but it's extremely extremely close. I'd argue for the Motorola for anyone who even would use the stylus at all. It's a really good phone.
The galaxy a35 seems like a way better deal at least your OS isnt outdated in 3 months.
I agree with your logic. Also depends on what price you get this at too. And if you need a stylus. But I get why you would prefer the A35.
Here's the big question would you daily drive this phone.
@@AndroidDigest thanks for getting back
Exc Review-- I was seriously close to getting this phone but ONE OS Update!?!? Really Moto?? You are losing thousands of potential buyers
Yep. It's a Motorola thing. They are pretty wack about updates
2023 is still great.
For sure, it is. I just like double the ram and the oled screen this year
One OS update is freaking nuts lol. Two should be the minimum at Motorola
100% agree
So we were forced to get this phone because I just dropped my pixel 6a on a lake. I had an older version of this phone and I absolutely hated it.... Yes this one is better but I can really tell the difference and yes we are upset that this phone was 40 dollars more expensive than my pixel. Yes with the price range Im impressed but it does not compare. Now there is something I like I love my dule speakers I missed them so much but the photos SUCK like in my opinion the original photo before they process it is better, which is kind of irritating.
Pixel photos are always amazing
I'm thinking about this stylus next, now that I have a 30w 1.9Amp wall charger.
.
Also, the DeWalt wall charger was shutting off my 20k power bank.😮
.
I love the Moto's because, I can charge my earbuds off the phone. Plus my vape pen into the phone..
.
Just plug the cable into the phone.
Enjoy it
I got mine for 150
Great deal
does Motorola stylus 5G 2024 have 3.5 to usb c audio
It has a headphone jack. So doesn't need it
@@AndroidDigest it does cuz you still can possibly ruin the headphone jack
@@AndroidDigest which is what happened it should be used as a backup audio source
@@AndroidDigest eventually after so much wear and tear the headphone jack can be broken by accident
@@AndroidDigest so unless I can fix it I'm going to have a get a new phone
Nic phone
I like it!
Am buy now lunching Canada 30 may , am oder 1 June official Motorola website,6 June delivery 🚚,Nic phone Nic display nic moto work
Love it except the battery life! Battery totally sucks!
Yeah I had a good experience with the battery, maybe give it a few days? Either way glad you are still enjoying the phone overall
@@AndroidDigest yeah, am not having that same experience at all. Takes forever to charge and the battery 🔋 doesn't last. I çan just keep it in my pocket and it will be losing battery life not doing anything. I've had it for weeks.
