My father has a very debilitating disease. As a result he has chronic depression. My brother and I convinced him to play civ 6 and even built him a PC to do so. Civ 6 literally help save his life. The only civ game hes played was civ 1. Now thanks to your vids I can play with my dad. I don't like RTS or trun base strategy games but Im learning for my dad. thx this game is a lot at once.
I know I'm kinda late but that's a beautiful story, I hope your father starts to fell better. I never had a dad and as a result I can't understand how you feel but stay strong. You are doing all you can and you are helping him survive by being their for him. I know things get hard sometimes but how you handle hit shows you character and if you handle it well you will be able to become stronger.
Race Frazier How awesome. I can relate to your father's scenario in terms of the chronic depression, and just today I, myself, just finished receiving all the parts to build my first custom gaming PC as well, which is why I'm here watching this. This game definitely is a lot to learn, that's for sure. The awesome thing, though, is that you're taking the time to figure it all out anyway, for your dad, especially being someone who's not particularly into this sort of game. I respect the hell out of it. As someone with lifelong, often debilitating depression myself, I can say that having someone in your life who's willing to make that sort of effort and spend that sort of time with you is just the most valuable thing, and very hard to come across. It's tough to know what to do or how to help when it comes to a disease like depression, but often just being there for them makes a monumental difference when it's really needed. So on your father's behalf, thanks. That's really awesome of you.

I've played civ 4 and 5 to death and still found a lot of 6 very confusing at first. But that's a sign of a good strategy game, the first playthrough should be baffling. A learning curve. Civ 4 will always be the best for the sheer depth of play, it requires a mathematics degree to beat Deity. Civ 5 felt like playing childrens first civ in comparison. 6 looks like it has more depth of strategy, I'm impressed so far.

This game has hit me in waves. Easier difficulties give you the illusion that specific actions and builds help more than they actually do. Building some wonders over others only helps you half as much as you’d think. I go from building as much as I can in my cities as quickly as possible, to carefully choosing which districts I do and don’t want and where they go. As well as resisting the urge to build things that sound nice but I know won’t fully help me in the long run.

I've played all Civ games since the original and Civ VI seems to be the one giving me the hardest time. I played on easy trying to get a tech victory and ended up having to invade Greece to stop them from getting a cultural victory only to have England beat me cause they had like 5 space ports and I only had one spy destroying their capitals space port and didn't even notice the others until it was too late. I don't know why the AI seems so good on easy mode. It was a cake walk until the end. These tutorials might help even a veteran player. Also, I really miss the palace/throne room and the soldiers marching into cities from the original Civilization game. And the opening still gives me cold chills.
Seems like a great tutorial. Just bought the game for $3 on steam summer sale. Gonna give it a try. I played all the AoE games and was told this game is similar, but looks very different to me.
VipTech_C you can get it for 15 on the switch if you buy the game in a store (on sale for 30 now on the eshop till 7/12). Still not a bad deal, especially for portability. I bought it for free from epic... but I got it on the switch (game saves transfer) Win win.

heh, i play hoi4 which is a game kinda barely similar to this and i have over 500 hours but dont know what i am doing half the time it is challenging and i am playing as a weaker nation
can't shake off the thought that by entering the 'goody huts' you're actually executing a tribe.. you enter, get their technology, and they 'just disappear'.. yeah after you took everything they had and burned down their homes. ::SS
circle of life man, tbh the tribes in the goody huts probably just assimilated into the nation as like citizens that dont do anything, i dont think they got killed
I played one game and surprisingly won , i just got the culture victory with building a lot of monuments, with also making a lot of allies for protection

I'm Funguy guy is just trolling I think. Saw him on like 3 comment threads and he’s just an ass to almost everyone. Dude claims in another comment that it’s an easy game yet he’s watching a video on how to play the game.
Sometimes I miss the simplicity and the fun of Civ and Civ 2.
Can’t tell u how helpful these videos are
Much important informations! After these guides I can play this game better :)
Jinx091207 Much important announcements 2: You need to hire and English teacher
? just leave them alone. English is probably not their first language, why should you tell them what to do - why does it matter to you??
I know, Internet is full these "important" persons who have to tell "right" things what to do... lol for them 😂😂😂
@@hammyhd7776 Says the person who says "And" instead of "An."
Just want to say great videos man. Just bought Civ 6 with all the current content and it is a bit overwhelming and I have no idea what I am doing. So this is a really good and well explained video that helps me understand things a lot better. Appreciate the effort and time you put in. Subbed
I have played civ IV and V, and the Civ for phones. But all of the added features in Civ VI has forced me to look for help and this is a very good in depth tutorial.
I'm a newbie to the Civ games (played Alpha Centauri years ago) and this video is AWESOME!!!! Thank you so much for making it!!!!
Really grateful for this! You explain everything so well and don't miss a single detail. Enjoyable watch. Also love the enthusiasm for Wheat at 32:11 lol. Will be checking out your videos on KSP and Football Manager next after watching all parts of this tutorial. Thanks, and subscribed!
Hey bud, thank you so much for these videos. You are explaining everything clearly and fast and its so much fun to listen to you! keep it up!
Hey. Here a few hours before the rush :)
I have watched most guides. You are THE best one
im on the second part and this is like discovering fire. holy shit there are alot ive missed :D
Heya Quill, great tutorial, its really nice of you to spend the time to make this :D
Cleopatra has a lovely nose too! Haha!!
(It's an Astrix and Obelix reference, in case you're wondering ;-) )
What a mean character! But that nose, though...
Nice :)
Anyone wanna buy some menhirs? Asking for a friend
She couldn't! She was Egyptian not Jewish!
Seems like a great tutorial. Just bought the game for $3 on steam summer sale. Gonna give it a try.
I played all the AoE games and was told this game is similar, but looks very different to me.
i like this guy, I hope he wins the game.
Just bought this game for my switch. I want to enjoy it its just so overwhelming and it taking literal hours only to get stomped on!
how does it feel to know people are saving $60 because the game is free on the epic games launcher rn
VipTech_C you can get it for 15 on the switch if you buy the game in a store (on sale for 30 now on the eshop till 7/12). Still not a bad deal, especially for portability. I bought it for free from epic... but I got it on the switch (game saves transfer) Win win.
@@Grr8jon sure but its a loss just to have a switch lmao
@The Deadpool Who Chuckles. we dont host parties at our house and my mom didnt own the house when she was still alive, but i am a hit at other parties!
Ok these videos need to be, like, in the game itself. Not sure how they would expect newcomers to gather all of this information naturally, it would take decades it seems like. Thanks for the help!
tysm! I've looked everywhere for someone who can just tell me wtf is going on. You do that. Props.
Thanks... paid 50 pounds for this, followed the tutorial stil no idea this guy I'd so helpful thank you man xxxx
I'm learning so much! Another video you have knocked out of the park!
I cant believe i just discovered this game. Im hooked, Your vids helped me out allot. Thanks!
The best Civ 6 tutorial on the internet.
I love how ive got like 20 hours and i have no idea what im doing lmao. Your videos have really helped so far
heh, i play hoi4 which is a game kinda barely similar to this and i have over 500 hours but dont know what i am doing half the time it is challenging and i am playing as a weaker nation
"so let's just talk about religion"
This is basically the only case in which this phrase is appropriate
Great presentation. Learning a ton! Excuse me while I proceed to part 3
just got this game on the switch and THANK GOD for this! I would have been so lost, starting wars left and right😂
Just got this game for my switch on Christmas, thank you very much!
can't shake off the thought that by entering the 'goody huts' you're actually executing a tribe.. you enter, get their technology, and they 'just disappear'.. yeah after you took everything they had and burned down their homes. ::SS
circle of life man, tbh the tribes in the goody huts probably just assimilated into the nation as like citizens that dont do anything, i dont think they got killed
@@viptech_c5286 yea i agree
I think in the tutorials it kinda said that the tribes assimilate into your city.
@@MangoSnowCat yeah i guess, and i once even got plus one population from a goodie hut so
@@viptech_c5286 But what about all the other times you don't get +1 population. Where does the population go?
These tutorials helped me complete my first game, I mean, it was by like 2 points, but still, these tutorials are cool
I played one game and surprisingly won , i just got the culture victory with building a lot of monuments, with also making a lot of allies for protection
Your videos helped a lot and made me really enjoy the game as my understanding improved! Thank you
I just pick up the game for the Nintendo switch thank you for this tutorial
Nintendo switch 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
You're killing me.
@@polishpat95 why is that so funny? People play on whatever platform they prefer and there is nothing wrong with that. Grow up dude
@@TheTayDay69 Maybe he didn't know it was Nintendo Switch, you don't see games like this on Nintendo consoles very often. Settle down.
