This is a really great video! I do want to mention that there are options for leveling even if you want a more solo focused experience... if you pick the right class and stay on top of your gear and skill upgrades, you can find quests and other things to level up solo just fine. I got a berserker who can solo "green" heroic encounters pretty easily. Soloing is definitely slower though... EQ2 is smart for giving better rewards to people who group up. I just wanted to mention that the other option does exist.
This is great info as I had no clue what to do in Qeynos at level 10. Lucky for me I got into a good guild and found a consistent group. Lvl 10 - 13 Ideas - solo spiders and single mobs in the CAVES or the badgers and turtles in the Fallen ruins while you are LFG in those zones doing quests. The quest from the guard just outside the north city gate of Qeynos is soloable, ( stick to non heroic mobs if you are solo ) regular rats and klick bugs can be found around the auqaduct to the north and regular snakes are around the griffon tower in the south. You can solo on badgers wolves and bugs to the east near Archer woods ( NOTE: Gnolls take over the woods at night ) till you get a group for BlackBurrow.
I played EQ2 at launch and for years afterwards, this server has been such a blast to play on! I've even beought a friend of mine that plays WoW Live and he's slowly getting more into it. Thanks for making content for the server, i gope it draws in more people.
More more more Origins content please! How far along are you now? 2 nights playing after a night of dabbling and getting a couple alts to… level 2 on the island and deciding what to play. 2 nights and I’m level 5 combat (Necro) and level 10 scholar. The grind is real. 🙃🤣
I'm looking forward to this. I just began a Conj and hoping for an experience better than the previous TLE servers. I guess my only real concern is when population declines, will there be enough groups to assist the latecomers. I expect it to stay heavily populated for some time but we will see if it has legs.
I recently started playing Origins, Ive been soloing as a paladin learning the hard way. what I dislike is that I seem to run out of quests of the same level all the time and had to scour most of Queynos and start of Antonica to find quests for my current level. I even ended up doing some quests wich were some levels above me that took me all around Antonica zone dodging high level mobs left and right going in circle around the mountain in the middle. I managed to do the essence quest to get a bind spell. When I got to level 8 I found paladin trainer for the first time, bought all ability/spell upgrades up to lvl9 but after scribing them ability/spellbook still shows the first version of the spells/abilities. At level 8 I got a blue stone wich started a level 25? quest or was it 23?, found the guy to deliver the stone to but then he wanted me to go to Thundering Steppes wich Im guessing is lvl 20+ ?. Ive been avoiding grouping much since Im a newbie and dont feel like I should bother others with my noobness. Its been a hassle to level running all over the place and trying to figure out professions leveling at the same time as struggling with bag space and trying to find better gear then lvl 1 stuff that NPC's sell. But Im still at it xD
Definitely try to join a guild! There are lots of noob friendly guilds and people will show you the ropes! Even though, it's called Everquest, you want to mix those quests with groups and just killing heroic things with teammates. Keep at it!
Will you be making class difference guides on the origin classes aswell, considering they've got the old kits? Didn't expect my Inquisitor to not get an undead nuke when my Templar did forexample, or that the ability to move and heal at the same time would be removed from me
Probably not for Origins. The content would only slightly be different, would take many hours, and I don't have the time or motivation to dump into them unfortunately.
I'm just looking on UA-cam and I don't see tutorials , by classes for orgin server. Maybe you can send me some UA-cam video where the classes are described :) 😊@@bear.necessities
Awesome you were able to group so quickly - all I saw were people botting an alt. Game is fun with people. Solo it's just painful. I'd make this my new addiction otherwise.
I have lvled 6 chars to lvl 5-7. This weekend I'm going to take some to 10. I can't decide what I want to play. ( just started on origins last weekend)
Been looking for something like this the past couple days! Seems like obsessing over completing quests was mostly a waste of time in trying to get leveled compared to just grinding.
@@bear.necessities well not really it didn't have where any of the locations were I had no idea what u were talking bout 😅 never played eq2 iv looked everywhere for guides that are lile ok u just got off the island now what kind of thing I asked someone in game they directed me to the graveyard and it was where I needed to be.
I found it sad that the trades on the island weren't very good, and kind of expensive. I remember the trades areas being packed when it originally launched.
Yes, more Origins content! So much to learn.
woo woo
Thank you for providing new player friendly content like this. Makes the experience less intimidating.
You're welcome!
This is exactly what I needed. Im new to EQ entirely and after a couple play sessions Im at lvl 9 and somewhat lost. This helped tons!
Awesome! I'm glad.
Grinding with a bunch of buddies, the foundation of MMO gameplay that seems lost to time in the modern day MMOs.
Awesome!
i absolutely die inside everytime i am reminded of this fact, companies have lost the true feel of what MMOs should have. full time group content.
This is a really great video!

Yeah absolutely! There is no wrong way! I'm just giving one path.

Got 2 level 50s! More content coming - traveling a lot the last month or so.
Love to see the EQ2 origins content. Having a blast on the server!
Same!
lvl 29? i just barley got to lvl 10 lol. I'm having a blast so far tho
thanks for making these by the way.
No problem! Thank you
Thank you for the video, newish player here and this will be helpful
No problem at all!
I never played EQ2 originally (except for 3 days when I first moved out on my own)
I'm looking forward to this. I just began a Conj and hoping for an experience better than the previous TLE servers.

watching again, thanks. I'd love any more Origins helpful content
Absolutely loving this server! So glad they did this, hopefully it’s popular enough for continued support!
Thanks for the videos!
Happy you are enjoying it!
Thanks so much, this is a great resource.
No problem
Any chance to get a link or quick tutorial for your UI? It is very clean and I love it!
Great idea! Sure I'll have to make something
Nice gonna give it a go soon

Been having a lot of fun just poking around... haven't even left the island yet lol
Just came across the channel. Do you have a guide for your UI ? I like it. EDIT: I checked your channel and saw your UI guide.
DarqUI on a wide screen. Check out my user interface video on the channel!

Super tutorial, I will find it very useful.
Maybe you record a fil about clas , which to choose for server orgin :D please.
Hey! Class vids have been started but it's a lot of info!

@@kropek19nieznany58 - I have some old ones that will give you a basic idea, but they won't be 100% accurate for Origins.
good stuff sir!
TY!
Thanks!
No problem!
What are the good heroic mobs to do for Commonlands to get to 12?
I'm not sure for CL, I think the Ruins is super good though.
Awesome you were able to group so quickly - all I saw were people botting an alt. Game is fun with people. Solo it's just painful. I'd make this my new addiction otherwise.
Join up with a guild! There's tons of people looking for group as well!
Which guild would you recommend for a casual experience? Riders of the Storm?@@bear.necessities
@@WesleyWyndam-Pryce - Ascension is pretty casual friendly. Riders is as well. There's lots!
I have lvled 6 chars to lvl 5-7. This weekend I'm going to take some to 10. I can't decide what I want to play. ( just started on origins last weekend)
That's definitely the predicament! Best wishes

Quests are good for gear sometimes but xp is best made killing in groups!
So as a new player I've been focusing on completing quests solo... should I just find a group and grind elites instead?
You should find a group for most content in origins, no mercenary npcs so the content is very difficult by yourself
You can definitely play how you want!
is thios server casual friendly? or like EQ tlps where you have to play everyday to keep up? was debating playign with wife
There are currently a lot of people at different levels, so now is a great time to start!
I would love to see a dirge guide. It's been so long since I've played vanilla eq2
I just started playing on varsoon yesterday. Where can I hire a merc in freeport? Please help, thanks Bear
There's a variety of mercs in the game and they are scattered around the world. I believe there are some in the West Freeport area.
Dude I been wondering around Freeport for 5 hours and I have no idea where to go what to do im lvl 5 and omfg..
Hopefully this guide helps!

What do y’all think the best location is to gather T4 material like opal
Zek around Greenhood camp and randomly around EL
Skeletons outside of RoV at 27? Can’t you go into RoV earlier? Or is it worthless? I only play a few hours a day only 22
You can go in to the beginning part a bit earlier if you want. I'm just giving my opinion on fastest and smoothest xp options.
Keep the new player Origins content coming plz!
Will do!
I found it sad that the trades on the island weren't very good, and kind of expensive. I remember the trades areas being packed when it originally launched.
Agreed.
Make a origins gold guide please
Not a bad idea!
Get used to being broke early, lol
Which UI are you using?
DarqUI
Def not in no rush, last time i played I got 60 did the peacock quest and quit afterwards,, not much of an alt player
For sure! Take your time.
