- So I dedicated some of my time at the Summer Game Fest playing Fatal Fury City of the Wolves specifically to playing Preecha and learning what she is about! For a character that was announced at the start, almost nothing is known about her and I intend to change that! Joe Higashi's student yes, but she isn't a joe replacement, she's very much her own character and very interesting so lets dig in with this gameplay preview!

Alright so Preecha has been known about since the announcement but there's actually almost no info about her out there. She's not terry or rock where we already know everything out of the gate, so lets change that why not. I spent a good chunk of my time at the summer game fest just trying to figure her out and what shes all about, and all in all I am pretty impressed! While similar to joe in terms of flavour, shes very much her own character and well... watch the vid and find out! Lots of cool stuff about her

When Roofle said Preecha was Velma if she were a fighting game character Preecha finally clicked with me.
I love Preecha's motivations and how they reflect the scientific side of martial arts. Martial arts is a science so its a breath of fresh air to see a character that instead of fighting to get stronger, fights to learn what makes martial arts tick. I also love how her animations are basically treating her fights as scientific method.
My dad's a big fan of hers. Guess that makes me the son of a Preecha main.
Everyone is gangsta until they get hit by that knee backed by probability and statistics. She looks like a solid character

She's seriously a selling point, nerdy and upbeat characters are always welcome. Weird that Sakura isn't in SF6 season 2, right...
Speaking of Capcom and nerdy fan favorites, they should take notes here. In DMC5 Nico was introduced and everybody loves her, make her playable in DMC6, please.
I will always main the Muay Thai character in any fighting game, glad she looks so fun.

I love how Rock's hair fixing animations are alive and well in Preecha holding onto her glasses!
I'm still not over how cool the Q.E.D super is.
The "Weak point!" line sold me on the character alone
Subtle animations like Preecha pushing her glasses back up are one of the things that sell me on a character. I remember not being convinced by Remy in SF3 until I saw that during his crouching animation he brushes his hair out of his face.

Marco I could as well but like... marco is marco, he's sorta a known factor and theres not much else to say other than he does the things he does? I duno lol Maybe I can spice it up for a vid. I didn't even bother with Terry or rock cause they are just such known entities as well like whats the point, I tried to go for whats fresh. Once all this SGF stuff is out of the way though I promised a Honda guide for SF6 and it is coming! Just give me a bit of time, it will be live before Bison drops at least lol
I think even if marco is just marco it's still worth to do a video about him, this game will bring a lot of new people to the series and just a character introduction is much better than going in blind and getting bodied

All I hope is that Marco still feels like a million bucks. MOTW Marco is like, the best feeling shoto I've ever played.
I wasn’t stoked about her at first, but she’s really grown on me
Probably the character I wanted to play first on launch.
SNK really tapped into a fountain yet untapped with Preecha. Normally you get like the shy nerdy girl when it comes to fighting games, but I can't think of any energetic nerdy girl rn other than Preecha.
God I love how impactful she feels, she might be my day 1. We'll see how the roster pans out.
I always have Joe on my team, so if he's not revealed, then I'm most excited for her.

ive only cursory hit buttons in Garou but the breaks were by far the coolest stuff in that game and im very glad that that mechanic is sticking around for CotW

She's super cute n the reason I'm considering getting this game
She's a neat character, but honestly I think what i'm impressed by most is her silhouette, those big shorts on the small frame and that hair - don't think it'll easily be confused with anyone else. Great character design. Also - for the CvS / SvC we can only dream about, I want her to partner with Area :D (Arika).

while we still may not know about preecha but one thing's certain she's certainly a star strucking fighter with amazing fighting style that looks so fun even for a scientist that she really caught my interest and might be one of the character i might be interested in playing aside from hotaru and jenet. When I first learned about the game, she was the one that stood out to me the most at first sight, and the one planned to play the most (alongside B. Jenet). I very much love that she is into science, for it is also I love I share. Along with an interest in Muay Thai. Can't wait to actually play her.

smart style def isn't modern. Its not an viable alternative, its there for beginners until they want to learn to play the "real" way.

I've never played a fatal fury game. I'm pretty excited for this one. I love the art style, not interested in Preecha but I'm hoping for a Marco video in the future 🤞🤞🙏
Marco is a extremely cool shoto, he has a dash that is also a counter and he is a more defensive character on game that is more ofensive

As a generic American white dude, I think it's less that seeing Luke at character select assures us that we fit in and get a seat at the table, and more that everything else about our society means we don't even ask that question to begin with. Not only can we look at a thing with white guys and think "yay, this for me! I'm invited!" We can look at a thing where everyone is a Korean girl (or, higher stakes example, an ancient Israelite) and think the same thing.

I really appreciate that fighting games provide something for everyone. Personally I find neither her design, nor her game play fun or interesting but it's good that she exists.

Yeah this character seemed cool to me, especially because I kinda liked joe with my small time with KoF. My only gripe about her being I don't really like her default colors, but thankfully her alts seem a lot more cohesive, so thanks for showing those off!
Preecha has that Jinkies neutral. Which is this case means none, ideally lol
First two minutes of the video and i realized if i played fatal fury i’d choose her. She didn’t mean for her hand to be on fire like ken masters, and her glasses slip out of place
I greatly appreciate how SNK recognized that a MT user is REQUIRED to have super toned legs.
BTW her wind projectile is goofy as hell, it bounce and drop on the ground as if it is a solid ball instead of... wind.
I thought I didn't like her design, but as it turns out I just didn't like her default color scheme, cause she looks pretty good with the other colors in this video. I'm probably gonna try her out.

I do still wish they went with that concept design from back in the day when they were working on a MotW sequel in the 90s. This one could've been good but it's like her head and body are trying too give me 2 different characters lol
