Nah, Cheryl’s sassiness was one of the things that drew me to her, and sassiness can definitely be annoying but Cheryl is a tough cookie and as you yourself said she wasn’t fazed by terrifying monsters that would break most others, so her attitude definitely fit her well (and gave me a few laughs). Love Cheryl… Best SH character!
Sas just grates on me. It's a personal thing. Luckily it doesn't make Sheryl any less endearing to me. She's chad tier but I'll always be team Harry first. Like father like daughter I guess.
The bees jerky was great for handling slurpers and dogs sneaking from behind at higher difficulty levels. Sometimes the radio won't catch them especially in the otherworld Town center and hospital.
@@arkham666 I know. It's a shame. I just finished SH 3 and I found your analysis really insightful. Maybe you'll see a boost when the SH 2 remake comes out!
Yet another really well done video. I might as well watch your stuff about games I am not even familiar with... Your narration is simply that wonderful. Thanks again.
You put it so well, the way I feel in the mundane world we are given in 3, and it's almost liminal in that way. The office building always really got me, especially the otherworldly version. There's a room with a bed that has a slurper under it, sometimes I like to just turn iff the light and imagine what it would be like to live there, existing in the rusty darkness... it's the same feeling I get when I listen to Knife Party by Deftones
@@arkham666 It did! and I love the outro screen, looks very cool and kind of cozy. I found the point about childhood fears leading into a fascination with horror quite interesting, as I had a very similar thing. As a kid I was extremely scared of everything. To the point where I wouldn't watch scary movies and it was enough for my parents to go "this is restricted" and I wouldn't even want to watch it. Very overactive imagination. Then as soon as I got into teenage years I got overcome with fascination. I'd devour horror movies and I love horror novels, the more out there and scary the better. Though I tend to lean towards more supernatural/monster/weird horror, so I've always been fascinated by Silent Hill even though I never actually played the games myself (never had a playstation). Anyway, great video, love the parting comments and how deeply you go into the story. I just really enjoy how positive your videos are, it's a lovely change from all the 'THIS IS TERRIBLE' stuff out there. Keep it coming!
@@harleythegreat Thanks. My YT philosophy is basically, there's so much been said about these games that the only stories I really have to tell are my own, and I don't do hatchet jobs. I don't take issue the kind of content other wish to make and I even subscribe to a couple of rant comedians but I want to just talk about things I loved when I was younger. This essay thing is just weaponized nostalgia. I'm tricking my brain into enjoying this under the guise of it being something productive.
I feel so lucky to have found your channel and see these amazing videos! 👏 Give us all about Stanly the ghost and the weird demon 😈 guy that shows up randomly and drags Heather away when she dies! Lol
@@arkham666 Yes! I totally think focusing on the things you're grateful for make them expand, so that plus the quality content? someday I'm gonna be stoked we once had this direct communication 😂😂 And Silent Hill hype is gonna be STRONG now, so have fun riding the waves!
I appreciate the praise and the earnest feedback and the sub. I should warn you that while I do edit my scripts a lot they are just a stream of consciousness that on occasion runs of on different tangents so stuff like that will happen. In fairness it happens more in my notebook and gets cut out towards the recording stage but some things do make it through so this wasn't and won't be the only incident of this happening.
@arkham666 that sounds more authentic but it might be helpful to keep in mind that to elevate or compliment something we love, it is never necessary to put down something others love. It can needlessly alienate viewers. Plenty of us love both FNAF and Silent Hill and that's ok. Just like how it's ok for you to not love both. 💖

Great video! The new outro screen looks really good, especially for something you threw together quickly! Looking forwards to the next one :D
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed the video. And thanks for sticking around till the end
Fantastic analysis! This video deserves far more views.
Thank you. Unfortunately that's just the way the algorithm is.

This is such a great video and one of my favourite game series and one of my favourite people/entities in it

Liminal, fuck that was the word I was looking for when I was trying to write this.
I am very much here for this. Silent Hill while working. Thank you.
You're quite welcome. Hope it makes the day go smoother.

Nice one. Cool chill outro screen as already mentioned. Onto the next dive!
Thanks a million man. Glad you enjoyed it.

amazing work, love the video❤️
Thank you so much. I really enjoyed making this one too.
Once again another great video in a great series. I hope to eventually playthrough the first 3 games. Keep making things you love man.
I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks a million.
Damn fine video my guy 👍
Great stuff again!
Many many thanks.
41:46 Honestly, that sounds more like you forgot to kick the monsters to make sure they were dead. I could be wrong though.
Regardless, awesome video
Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great analysis 👍🏼🤘🙂
Thank you.
Holy crap only 375 views?? That will change, my friend. 👍🏻
I'm quite happy with 375 actually but a man can hope for a little more. Thank you for the nice comment.

I'm a simple girl
I stumble upon a person who discusses the Silent Hill series
I sub and watch everything
Lol thanks. Hope you enjoy more of what you find here.
Damn I love your videos
Thanks. I really enjoy making them. Glad I can put some smiles on some faces.
HELL YEAH BROTHER
Hell to the yeah.
I want Vincent's gait in the sims 4.
Great video. But I have questions what came first the video games? Or the comics?
I've never really looked into the comics but a quick Google search says they came out on 2004 and the first Silent Hill came out in 1999.
M Night Shayamalan’s Servant is a plagiarised version of Silent Hill I’d say!
I don't think I saw that. The last thing of his I watched was Village and I think I was done after that.

All of this is great except the talking shit about FNAF. Not cool, necessary, or even relevant. Still getting a like and sub though. 👍
