Hi Everyone, As you may have seen in the video I did hook a small seatrout, fishing for migratory fish like salmon and seatrout on the rivers and lochs on a Sunday is not allowed though on many waters you can fish for brown trout and grayling with tackle to suit this though if you do hook a migratory fish then it should be handled with care and returned safely.. All the very best Davie
Davie thank you for letting me stand along side you. Just returned from Dr's a head procedure with stitches, and now I'm recovering watching your silver fish skills on the Doon 😊 thank's again.
A salmon came up for a dandelion seed the other night so I tied a fly with it 😂😂 , ties in nice and has a very flossy/silky sheen . Bit of fun anyway .
These videos make me want to bring my gear with me next time I visit family in Ayr. Visiting next July and staying at mainholm holdings so may buy a day ticket and go upto auchincruive way if it's possible to fish up that way
Hi Davie, thanks for posting..delightful to fish with you. Love the sound of the river. Do you tie the Dynamite Harry or nymph on a dropper, or tie the nymph on a length of tippet to the dry fly hook bend?
Hi James, We can fish most of our waters on a Sunday especially for trout and grayling, we are not allowed to fish for salmon and seatrout though if they take the fly there's not much that you can do but safely put them back.. All the very best Davie..

Absolutely love the way you handle fish. It's textbook and ensures the fish go back unharmed. Brilliant!
