I drove a 74 Marmon for a year or so. Believe me it was the finest truck I have ever driven. I'm a Peterbilt man myself, and no rookie. I retired with 30 years under my belt. I'm telling you, these Marmons were not the prettiest truck of my choice, but in my opinion it is the rolls Royce of big rigs. The cabs are unbelievable for a quiet comfortable ride. You did a great job with this one. You should be very proud of yourself for owning such a beautiful piece of equipment. Good luck to you with it. WOLFMAN--- So. Cali.

My boss took me to the plant in Garland TX to pick up a brand new one in early 70's, heaviest truck I ever drove. 1693TA Cat and a Spicer Air 4X4, no one ever passed me on a hill but it couldn't pass a fuel pump

My dad was a truck driver from 1962 till 2006. I remember as a kid he had a Marmon. Actually 3. But all at different times. He use to tell everyone that marmon is the rolls Royce of trucks. Looking at this truck brought back so many memories.

That is an incredible restore! All credit to Ryan for such dedication. I would hope that a truck like this will be preserved for decades to come as a testament to the resolve and determination of American ingenuity and pride.

Marmon...nuff said ain't it? Every single one was custom built to order. Dad ordered one back in about 75 or so. I can still remember the sound of that 8v92 TA Detroit! I own Cummins powered Freighters and they're great but nothing like that Marmon. Dad regretted trading it until the day he died!

Thank you so much for sharing that trucking treasure! I've enjoyed restoring things since a friend of mine and I back in 78 model Packard being teenagers of course the first thing we fixed was the radio. She was a beauty got Mormon that's a Monet. Exquisitely done, a solid 10. Thank you for saving the history and sharing it with the public. It is well appreciated in my home.

I am from Central Canada and drove over the road throughout North America for almost 20 years and I only saw 1 Marmon conventional which was actually in northern Ontario. Had to do a double take because I remember the driving instructors who were all former long haul drivers talking about Marmons being a rare sight, wish I had my camera. Always have to appreciate well taken care of or reserected iron from the working man's perspective.

My dad was an owner operator for nearly 40 years (he passed in 2008) and I've been an owner operator for nearly 20 years. Dad ordered a new Marmon cabover back in the mid 70s w/the 8v92ta Detroit 15 speed and 3.73 Rockwell rears. He traded it in about 85 or so for a new W-9 w/a 425 Cat 13 speed and 3.73 Rockwells. He always said that while the KW rode better the Marmon was built better and that the Cat was a dog compared to his old Detroit! I'd LOVE to know what happened to dads Marmon. I see them now and then but they're always beat up day cabs. I still love the music of the old 2 stroke Detroits too!

Marmon built quite a few of these, however they are extremely rare to see anymore. My brother had a 110" coe with the V grill in the 80's and I worked for a fellow that owned a Marmon dealership in Roanoke Va called Roanoke Truck Sales back in the 70's and early 80's and he ordered some I'd love to have today. Specifically a black one w/red interior and factory 240" web on a the 110" coe. Love to know what happened to her.... VERY NICE TRUCK BTW!!!
