agree! the complication comes when people try to isolate one thing and over-consume it as a supplement (bullet proof drink, omega-3 oil capsules).....out of context from where it was discovered as beneficial. Just eat the whole foods - that's my style.

It’s not complicated. It’s simple if you know how we were created to it as in ancient times. It’s just different then what we’ve become used to. So it seems complicated bc you’ve gotten so far from what was available in ancient times and only eating that

It wasn't complicated until there was big money to be made by bastardizing good food items with fillers and taste bud frauds.

Food isn’t complicated, just eat as close to your actual ancestors as you can. Where I grew up I knew no one who put coconut oil in coffee. We kept coconut oil to skin, hair and cooking, especially frying. I remember some putting a drop of fresh butter into coffee for a morning boost because most people didn’t have an early breakfast. Also, this is not a one size fits all, depending on which regional immune and digestive system you’ve inherited your body will react accordingly. Listen to your bodies. 😊

Pin this comment people need to stop taking everything at face value and learn to take care of YOUR ' SELF! its fine to learn and gain information to guide you but believing it without even testing and knowing before hand is setting yourself up for failure and much more problems Sunshine Dee is correct i follow this type of thinking now.
I eat purely based on what is causing harm for my body or not and as of right now i eat Spinach, Honey, Walnuts, Chia seeds, Hemp seeds, Oranges, Tomatoes, Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Braggs), Apple Cider Vinegar (Braggs), Himalayan Pink salt, White Potatoes, Black Beans, Brown Rice and Garlic Cloves everything morning also Greek Yogurt.
I have never felt better in my life and have no ill effects at all and this works for ME not everyone wil gain the same results learn from your own bodies chemistry and learn what it tells you learn the things you eat because i eat those things purely to remove indegestion and cardiovasuclar issues and they're virtually GONE the flu and other ailments will not hinder me there are far more things causing me problems but they're VERY VERY minor as of late which are joints i keep hearing and tooth issues which is totally normal with becoming older and doing nothing about them.

So I'm just going to live by my simple rules, eat nothing but fresh, organic, whole food vegetables and pastured meats indigenous to my european heritage. And Fasting. Dr. Pelz, Many years back I learned from a holistic doctor how healthy flaxseeds can be and her advice was to take 2 teespoons every morning (roughly ground up in your spice grinder machine). If you grind them freshly before ingesting, you get the most healthy components out of the seeds: High Omega-3 fats and fiber. So I do this religiously, sometimes I mix them into a smoothie, on a small bowl of berries and cream or just spoon them up & rinse them down with water. I then proceed to make my Bullet-Proof Coffee which I’m addicted to 😋 with 2 small Tsp of Coconut Oil, 1 Tbsp of Butter and 7 different spices (cinnamon, tumeric, pepper, ginger, cayenne pepper, cardamom & pink himalayan salt) I don‘t know exactly if it‘s the mixture of all these things together or the fact that I usually eat lots of veggies, protein and other healthy fats daily, but I feel great. Lost over 40 Kilos. Haven‘t been sick (knock wood) in over 4 years, more or less since I‘ve started Keto and this morning routine. Like you said in the video, it‘s important to balance out the long chain fatty acids with short chain fatty acids & enough prebiotic fiber! Flaxseeds have this fiber and they‘re cheap. The dark brown flaxseeds are the most healthy 🤓 Just thought I‘d send this info for you and your fans. Oh yeah, Hemp Seeds/Oil and Chia seeds are also really good to incorporate regularly.

With MCT Oil, my understanding is that C8 & C10 is ok, but nothing higher. You need to check the label of MCT brand as to which Carbons are in, as some do have the C12, at least in Oz they do, especially supermarket brands. Think Dr Ekberg does a video on why.....something to do with it being able to bypassing the liver and being immediately available as a fuel source, if under 10. Not sure if that marries to what is being said here, but I use it, along with organic butter in a bulletproof coffee, now and again, depending on my fasting goals and have almost no inflammation in my joints. I also use a little for salad dressings sometimes, usually with garlic, somI guess that fits. Actually I like to do raw garlic with lots of stuff.

Short chain fatty acids are in grass fed butter. Plants are not directly short chain fatty acids, but they only create short chain fatty acids IF YOU HAVE the right gut bacteria types to convert the fiber to short chain fatty acids. If you have a problem with your gut bacteria you’ll have a problem converting fiber to SCFAs. I personally use grass fed goat butter for direct short chain fatty acids and CLA. - Direct meaning I don’t need to reply on gut bacteria trying to convert plant fiber to SCFAs. I also use wild fish fat/fish oil. Those are my fave fats. And I use MCT coconut oil on my skin.

Thank you I grew up on coconut oil but I was wondering what was going wrong when I had it with my bullet coffee... on a ketosis diet...instead of losing weight I gained and my body seemed to be inflamed.... thanks now I will use it with vegetable instead now I know 🙂

South Indians for example start most staple dishes with coconut oil, garlic, ginger and onions. No indigenous cultures ever puts coconut oil into coffee. It’s unnatural! I feel there is much value in following age old practices for good health rather following fads like putting coconut oil into your coffee!!!

How much of these SCFA foods should I be eating. I have MCT in my coffee at least once a day. I don’t want to spike my Insulin, so I would generally avoid starchy foods (lentils and potatoes). I also don’t fancy eating garlic and asparagus everyday. Could I get away with just having a SCFA food once a week? Would this be enough to negate the effect of LCFA?
