At about 35 mins in- Scott you give an incredibly clear summation of how as an INFJ gets hooked into a narcissist. So helpful! The point that an INFJ’s BS meter doesn’t register because the narcissist is being “authentically” a narcissist is spot on. I have dealt with these types of people my entire life as an INFJ & haven’t understood until recently (I am 51.) Like you stated Scott- the silver lining is when you are (finally) almost destroyed by the worst narcissist you’ve ever met, you wake up & can finally get healed of your childhood trauma. Not a fun process! But after this reckoning with the final narcissist (or narcissists) the INFJ can get on with their life in PEACE. This is incredibly hopeful. The rest of your life not being manipulated by these types 🙌🏻 Thanks Tegan & Scott for sharing this valuable conversation.

I find the door slam, putting a fist into a brick wall etc, is a sudden release of tension due to disappointment and letdown of faith in someone where trust and understanding were given.
This I find usually happens to younger minds that have not grasped the inner understanding of their emotions and seeing the greater picture. We all develop and change at different rates.
Narcs never change and if you are in a relationship with one, they hold back your purpose and overall development.

Yes. The first cut is the deepest. Have to revisit “it” as an adult to heal broken boundaries and be our safe person instead of putting ourselves repeatedly in a den of viper. We made it too easy for narcissists to be who they are. Enabling their toxic existence. My God, we could all write a best seller. We are authentic but chameleon contortionists for survival. We do not lose connection to our selves we suppress expression of self. That self is a light first but then a target to control.

this is quite incredible for me to hear. Recently I did a Myers Briggs test, knowing absolutely nothing about the types. I found that I am an INFJ. Then, I found your channel and have never before heard anyone even come close to describing my experience and journey through life as you have done. I am in my early fifties and have only just gone through the liberation and reconnection to myself that was severed as a child.
Thank you for these videos, you have given a voice to my own feelings and helped me forgive, heal and become present.

I still wonder if I would be ENFJ if I was allowed to be instead of beaten into Introvert. I’ve tested as both.

Great, you guys! Appreciate the even deeper level of introspection this brought out. On the doorslam, I've described it as the hiker who gets stuck in the rocks, and he must literally saw off his own arm to escape. It is equally agonizing as it is nescessary, to ongoing survival, and absolutely the last resort, no other option.
As for the target/magnet, I include karma("my" own, previous) but only as a higher way to view it, not as an excuse for abuse, or reason to endure it. I heard another therapist say, our pride thinks we can heal even the most hurtful people, still pondering that one . . I don't propose anyone stay with abusers.
Hello brothers and sisters : )

Your the best at videos you hooked me with the one about us being the pin cushions off the world 🌎 boy do you know us. 🇮🇪 yes we are set up in childhood I was a family scapegoat but I was a talker not a listener now I am a listener no more a narcissists food. The light bearer’s INFJ meeting the darkness the narcissist so too speak I am learning. Yes lady we think outside the box, because we don’t trust what’s inside the box anymore. Great video 👏Great video 👏Thank you both 👏

Work? I’ve only done what I love and that is the only thing that was self expressive, besides being a mom and having pets. Art is my business and it’s so uniquely my own expression that can not be made to comply.

Good giving platform to Scott Morgan to talk, though I found Tegan's interview style to be negatively mismatched in level of communication skills.
