Alt chest piece is to represent the harpoon cord after being shot by ripley when she is wearing the white jumpsuit..
Could have been left out for a better alt accessory imo...
Yes, it’s odd because of how little there is.
Such a great figure for 1/12 scale. I have to admit I’ve been spoiled by the typical 7” Neca size which is bigger than 1/12….I believe the Neca alien is 8” or so
My gripe is that the inner mouth is the wrong color. It should be basically white. They should also include one for the completely closed jaw so you can see a second set of teeth behind the outer set.
I also don’t like that the blob of glue is at the nose. Kotobukiya artfx+ hid the connection point so we’ll it’s almost hiding in plain sight.
I agree, they should've included amother mouth that was deep inside.
The second chest could possibly be for hanging so it can be displayed on a wall or upside down, would be cool if they had a inner mouth that vould be used as if its bitten through the head, cut in the middle and attach other half to the back of a figure with blu tac or somthing like that, great review dude keep it going 🤘🤘🤘
He never used a weird cord to hang from the ceiling.
It’s supposed to be the cord from the harpoon gun Ripley shoots him with at the end.
I know they didnt use it in the film i meant for display purposes but after watching the film again its deffinatly the cord from the film
Thx for the review D! I was really interested in Mezco's take as most of my Aliens and Predators are McFarlane or NECA. The figure really looks great, they nailed the mouth and jaw and the shiny wet looking exoskeleton. The wrist and ankles look a bit weird to me!? And as a huge fan myself who's seen all the special editions, cuts, and extras for the Alien quadrilogy I cannot place or remember seeing that apparatus sticking out of one of the chest pieces for the Alien!? It's not the harpoon. Idk?
Yeah the ankles and wrist are whack. Makes it look like a dude in an alien costume.
I think it’s the harpoon, which seems totally unnecessary if it’s only that small of a piece…
Bad miss by Mezco on the display stand font being from the 2nd film (minus the S) as all the ad pics & the box show it as from the OG film, like it shb imo. The alternate chest piece is for display purposes to recreate the final scene after being shot with the harpoon & cord sticking out so hopefully that means a Mezco space suit Ripley is coming . Not sure what to complain about that alternate chest piece being included as no other Mfg. has done it in 1/12 scale that I'm aware & one of the best scenes in the film imo. Much better value than the Mafex considering all the accessories w/this guy. Thanks for the detail review & comparables.
The stand, facehugger, & chest Burster are from the second film.
@@dHuntersReviews Idk, guess the box doesn't technically refer to Big Chap or that content is solely from the OG film so guess they concluded to throw in a bit of the 1st two films. Kinda weird though they put the OG font on the stand on the box pic but then used 2nd film font (w/o the "S") on the actual issued product.

Hi, is it currently in good condition, is the paint holding up well, are the joints holding up well, is the shiny effect remaining and is the rubber holding up well?
No issues whatsoever. Everything good.

The alternative chest piece is a weird decision. It’s a specific scene from when Ripley shoots it with the harpoon. Cool I guess but not the figure has a very noticeable seam in its ribs. The 1:12 scale big chaps are so over saturated. This was an easy pass for me. And anyone who knows hot toys knows rubber skin won’t age well.

They are 1/10 and I love it.

Would rather have a dog or warrior alien. Don't care for the original alien design for action figures. My mafex will do for now. I want a proper ,6" scale Ripley
The Mafex one is horrible, it falls apart by looking at it! At least mine does. I hope Mezco does the Aliens Alien and Ripley.
With all those plastic layers to actually get to it is why they are expensive. Lol

I was interested. But after seeing a review. Completely disappointed. The neca completely annihilates this in every way. The suit looks ridiculous. Even if messco used some sophisticated techniques as far as silicone. But .... great review job.😝

@@dHuntersReviews yeah it should at least have the whole thing so you can give it to any human mezco figure, but since it cant use it himself i dont get it either, maybe removable domes would be better? So you can make it clear, shady or milky
