- A clip of my fresh 360 to 390 rebuild.
Fresh hone and rings
Reused stock cam and 360 piston heads
Rebuilt C8AE-H heads
Edelbrock performer Intake
Hooker Long tubes headers
Took a while to get it to start because my distributer was 180 out
I didn't have to break in a cam which is why I didn't hold it at 2000rpm
the driving clip is my 3rd drive with it, still doing some tuning.
Man do I love me an open header exhaust video. Dang that sounds smooth.
That sounds amazing I’m working on mine
It just keeps gettin' better!
Thanks, it sure does. It's come a long way
@@willfrancone3908 You've done an awesome job, great to see younger guys keeping the American tradition of hot rodding alive.
Awesome!
What brand color did you go with. Motor looks great
It's a dupli color paint called ford blue
what is that ticking noise? i have the same noise on my 390 but 5x louder
I do have a slightly bent pushrod on the side that the tick is from. If yours is really loud then it's probably an exhaust leak.
Yeah exhaust leak, they all do that if it’s been on there for hella long
Turns out my ticking was sunk exhaust valves. Had the heads rebuild and she purrs
@@obsessedwithcars219 I am needing my 390 heads rebuilt as well. How much money did that cost you to get your heads rebuilt?
Right. On. Brother!!
Check out Quint 1836 to see my 1974 F-250 Ranger SuperCab with a 4.9 300 and a T18 Borg Warner
Karen: Shut that off! It's too loud! 😂😂😂😂
Thats a 352fe not a 390
Nope, it was a 360 then I put a 390 crank and rods in it. Now it's definitely a 390.
@@willfrancone3908 yeah that makes sense! I have the exact truck but f250 and it has a 352fe ! Tbh 390 is better anyway
@@timp8344 352s are better than 360s. But yeah 390s are great
