There are a number of issues here .
You have replaced a 100 diameter fan with a 150 diameter fan but not replaced the airvalve thus putting a massive reduction to the airflow, which is why it sounded loud . Secondly, you didn't change the ductwork , which has an inner core for airflow and an outer sheath for insulation which means that you haven't connecting the fan to the inner core and are just moving moist air through the insulation which doesn't really offer any real ventilation and will cause damp problems in the loft .
The terminals L,N and LT refer permanent Live, neutral and Switched live respectively in order for the timer function to work .
M3/H refers to metres cubed per hour (how many metres cubed of air the fan will move in one hour) and that equates to about 150 l/s which is a fantastic airflow .
Try to keep your ductwork as straight as possible and if you can use solid pvc duct with ductwrap insulation as this will allow you to fit a condensation trap if it becomes necessary .
It isn't that loud, really.

Please can you tell me if swiftair fan came with a circuit board and has 3 pins for the uk plug?
+ste roller neither the old or the new fan was swiftair and neither came with a 3 pin plug but you could fit one quite easily if you wanted to.

What a monster! What model is that? The noise is a small price to pay with an extraction rate like that. I always find 4" bathroom fans totally inadequate so generally fit 6" kitchen extractors for bathrooms. Makes a big difference.
+Zed Man the model is Vents TT 150 brought off eBay for £47 ish I think. I ended up putting two 4" fans in the bathroom ....and still no good both had extraction rates of 100m3/hr on each but this fan is truly amazing no steam at all but the fan is massive.

Zed , That is duct fan ,It look like 340*255*240 size model , you can even choose smaller ,under that size for your bathroom ,
@@GeekStreet You can buy a speed controller like "Vents RS-1-300" to turn down the unnecessary speed and get it quieter, also you can buy a silencer and run it through bigger insulated ducting so it gets really quiet. Also the fan makes more noise/vibrations if you have it installed like this on a piece of wood, it gets better if you could hang it down with some elastic straps. On top of all that you can box the fan with some insulating material to reduce the sound even further, using a simple cardboard or wooden box filled with rockwool on top of the fan is a very simple way to do this.

Only if you include a grease filter, if you dont grease will settle everywhere on the fan and duct ... leading to fire risk

Hello there i just bought one like yours, i connected N=neutral and L=fase .....after i just pluged the power and nothing. Both fase and neutral are correct, i certified that....but no nothing. Any sugestion?
+Pedro Ferreira N is neutral and L is live. Did you connect via a plug? If so check the fuse, also you have a multi meter to check there is a current going to it? Could possibly be a faulty product.
Geek Street thanks for your help. I realised that i have to connect a phase also to the timer (LT) so that the fan work. I was trying to see if the fan was ok connecting only the Neutral (N) and the phase (L) just to see if its works. I realized that for it to work you need to connect also the wire phase to LT conector.

Pedro Ferreira I have the same problem. Connected Neutral and Live. Tried both L and L1 but doesn’t work. What do you mean by wiring the LT?
DaniSabchev I sent it back to the shop! Bought a Manrose MF 100 instead and could not be happier with it! To me the Blauberg felt very flimsy, cheaply made! Once you open the wiring box up to connect the main power you will see that to yourself! The wire goes into the motor leaves a big gap so I can see the water can come into the panel box! The Manrose MF 100 is sealed with silicon. Good luck with yours!

Bet you mounted your inline fan, horizontally, like our "friend Geek Street". Notice the edit in the video towards the end, when the fan went from "installed" to "now installed", as he learnt his lesson. When mounted horizontally, the inline fan creates a water trap (where the fan expands), in cold lofts , warm air is suck out of the bathroom, and condenses in the line draining back to the fan, where it cannot escape. Listen for the splash, splash, splash of the fan blades. well at least until electric meet water :)

Very unprofessional. Every place he secured the duct he crushed it. He is surely not an electrician or a good installer. Always use a certified electrician.
Condenser trap missing? Vertical installation. Just read it somewhere, open to criticism.

This fan is highly inefficient. I use hyper inline fans which have the same type of CFM or very close to it and a 6-inch only uses like 50 watts and 8 in in 75 Watts so with that said this thing takes over 300 watts to run. That cost you a hell of a lot of money to run over a hyper fan. Just a thought
What are you talking about? The fan in the video is using 60w max.

I just had a look at a copy of the real test results from "Tüv Rheinland" which tested and certified the fan. gyazo.com/7018d05ad9e0cdb79afba8658e410252 here is a link to the whole test results, 68 pages.. ventilation-system.com/uploads/download/61_185_cat_file_lang.pdf Not that it matters anymore since i just linked the actual Tüv Rheinlands test results, but literally every site that sells this fan has it listed as 60w in the specs, even says 60w on the damn label that's on it 0:21 .

A plug for a socket??????? It doesnt plug in, its wired to the lights. You turn the lights on, the fan comes on. Watch the video again - he turns the light on, (when he says listen) and WOOOO the fan starts!
First, fill the bath with water and stand in it. Take the wires from the light fitting....

It doesn't mean that at all.
M3 means meters cubed. Ie floor x width x height. The h means hour. So that's how much it expells an hour.
