- The Shot Scope G5 golf watch might just be the best cheap golf watch of 2023. I take it on course to test it out.

I ended up going with the Garmin Epix Pro and WOW awesome golf watch and awesome smart watch and second to none fitness watch and everything else you could ever want...highly recommend it,,,cheers all from Canada
Got one for Christmas! Can't wait to use it!
Good review thank you
Secondly, nice to Americans walking the course rather than in a buggy !!
Three months later, would you still recommend it ?
Great video Gabe! Nice to see Wade again! 👏 🍻
Thanks man. And yes, we need more Wade
Very interested in this. Can this double as a regular time piece? Like the relatively small footprint
Yes, it will tell the time when not being used as a golf watch.
I’m torn between the voicecaddy T9 and garmin s62 &s70. I know you’ve done reviews but out of those 3 what’s your opinion for strictly a golf watch not a life style watch
If money isn’t a factor the best golf watch is the s70, but it’s something like 4x the cost of this one.
Good afternoon, this is a bit off topic but those Ecco shoes you are wearing have you had any trouble with the left shoe sole cracking? I have now had 2 pairs and returned both, I see a ton of people wearing and I love the shoe but the sole split after like 8 rounds of golf on both pair. Maybe I git 2 bad pairs but are yours splitting?
No, I haven’t seen that happen with mine. I’ve had them for about six months.
I have a pair of Eccos. Over 10 years old!!! Well one did crack but I was able to fix it with shoe glue. Still use the Eccos for on the range.
I don't know if you do or not but I'd love to see you review some of the online golf's apps....the one I use is 18Birdies. I use it for yardages and handicap measuring. Love to see what you think of them.
To be honest, I just can’t get past the battery drain on Apple Watches. And I’ve never found the GPS to be super accurate. But I’ll see what I can do.
@LetsPlayThru I completely understand. That's why I like your honest reviews. I use 18 Birdies on my phone which can also be a hassle especially when you put your phone down make a stroke and forget your phone 😆
Watch vs Range Finder? If you could only afford one, which would you choose?
You don't need to upload courses to a range finder. They will work anywhere on the planet.
For a casual round I’d prefer watch, especially on courses I haven’t played.
For a tournament I’d go rangefinder, because I need precision in those moments.
Does it work with the tags?
This one doesn’t track stats. Just the basics.
All I know is I am very unhappy with my Shot Scope X5, it half-asses club detection, and there are over a half dozen SHOT DISCREPANCIES in every upload! I truly wish I would have spent my money on the NEW Game Golf Shot Device!
And many of the courses I have downloaded on the X5 do not have the Senior tees , just white and blue .
I had trouble getting clubs to register without tapping as well. Although I think that got fixed in a firmware update - so highly recommend you update if you’re not already. As for the tee boxes, definitely reach out to them because they will map them in within 5 days according to their policy.
@@LetsPlayThru I make sure I tag every time I grab a club and will actually hit the tag to the watch band many times and also look at the little window to see what club is registered, My firmware says it's up to date.
I would put in a warranty claim then
Why get that when the Apple Watch ultra does more
