When you decide to make your smeltery bigger remember to keep sides equal to base as the cube is most efficient form of smallest surface area (number of wall blocks) relation to biggest volume (number of slots). That works for RC tanks too. Another sing to consider regarding giant trees - If I remember correctly from my run, the biggest one from that quest in terms of wood amount is the Redwood tree from Natura mod (13-ish blocks in diameter if you are lucky and 100-150 block of height) and NOT the Sacred oak. Also you'll get 49 saplings of that comparing to only single one of any other (no, you do not need to place 7x7 as it says in tooltip, works just fine with single one of them and also can be bonemealed). But I might be wrong in some places as I did that on GTNH 2.6 and thing may have changed, so you can always just go to test world and see yourself. P.S. good luck on this retry. I myself dropped the challenge on IV tier...
Plumbiscus and argentia seeds for silver and lead are just taking the latin names plumbum and argentum and adding a plant based ending like hibiscus and dahlia. I don't know the mood but I'm curious to see what other names they've come up with.
Honey comb drops are randomised from their loot table when you centrifuge them. iirc you can also make combinations of circuits and electron tubes to change the power/speed of the machine plus some other stuff. oh, and last tip, you can centrifuge combs in normal gregtech centrifuges.
Love the vids and the series, really interesting to see problems that I would never consider a problem. Just to be on the safe side a quick warning, smelting the native silver clusters in a TiC smeltery will give a form of molten silver that is completely useless and can't be used to do or make anything with, not even ingots. So to save yourself from having to void resources never smelt native silver clusters in the smeltery.
37:00 single-item updates in inventories has been bugged for a long long time now. Moving things around or doing another recipe in a machine will update it. So if something vanishes, just move some stuff around and it should pop back into existence.
The huge amount of villagers you have jumping around in there might be the issue. There's a bug in older versions of minecraft that when too many entities are colliding, the physics that is meant to keep them from phasing through blocks is inaccurately calculated (probably due to having too much speed or the method of collision checks not polling often enough). It might be tied to "lag", in the sense that the more things the game is doing in a tick, the more likely the issue is to occur? This is how animals can occasionally slip through fences as they receive a big enough "push". This also means that rarely, mobs in a *solid* block cage will phase partially into the solid block, long enough to count as suffocating, and then receive a tiny amount of damage before being shoved back into the space without blocks. I don't know if this is what's happening, but to "fix" this issue, you would have to replace all the solid blocks that their heads "bonk" onto with glass blocks (or other solid-but-not-opaque blocks). This would mean that even if their bonk is enough to put their head inside a block, they WON'T suffocate as glass is not opaque and therefore cannot cause suffocation damage. Of course, it could still just be some glitchy entity cramming check 🤷♂ in which case my fix will do nothing. Hopefully you figure it out!
Thanks for summarizing this haha, but it was only one which kind of baffles me tbh. But I can definitely afford glass now(thanks macerated potions lol) Thanks ;)
Don't forget about wallsharing with the BBF, similarly there are quests for making 4 of them. I personally made 16. Also glad that you are using the redstone clock block, which btw does work for the thirsty tank. New to 2.7 is that a major bugfix for essence berries was implemented. Specifically, if you put any mob or player head underneath a essence berry crop, it will allow that crop to give 3x yield of berries (up to 6 berries each). A common setup would be to use an lv crop manager with a 2 stack of crops and heads underneath, which gives around 1440 berries per crop manager from only 240 crops. Combine that with a fluid extractor and some form of bucket autocrafting as you know, you can really just churn out exp based materials.
When you add redstone to a tool in tinkers table you csn have redstone in both slots so it at least does two at a time instead of one. You can also use blocks. This goes for lapis as well and basically any other stackable modifier
Speaking of xp berries and the various ore berries you can use the Crop Manager in LV to harvest them automatically. It does work on any IC2 crop with crop sticks but I always used them in a tower for all my ore berry types for infinite resources
if you can you should swith JEI for EMI (idk if it will allow it because of version) because in EMI you can create recipe tree and see how many materials do you need to craft something and in what order (remember to press hearth symbol to set default recipe that EMI will use for material list), and you can put redstone or other tool modifiers in both sloths
In the pec trading menu, I wonder if you could press Q (the drop button) to automatically spit items out? Instead of shift-clicking. That way, you could line your character up to drop the items directly into a hopper, and then a sorting system. So you don’t have to worry about moving the items around yourself. Just an idea. Hope you see this!
mutate crops, grow yellow stonelillies , they produce sand blocks. (need sandstone under soil to fully grow) a lot. and if you get gray stone lilles they produce cobble stone.. or stone dust.. don't remember.. but anyways.. stone lilles will save you a lot of time grinding for building resources
The reason the recipe transfer to crafting tables doesn't work sometimes is because there's things in the crafting grid - it's very inconsistent, but especially if you have tools there it just fails most of the time. Getting good tips here tho even for my non-Skyblock playthrough. Just reached LV with my first Steam Turbine, taking a small break, but I think I'll really need to set up a villager breeder like you do because I _want_ Thaumcraft now and not wait until I get the aluminium screws for it. Those Redstone plants man... Looking forward to you getting into Bees, because I have 0 experience there and the Drones I collected are.. just sitting there, waiting to be used.
You probably already know about it, but in LV you get access to the Rock Breaker which can produce stone, cobble, and obsidian. You can also output the cobble to a forge hammer to get gravel, and then pass that gravel through another for sand.
For some of the quick recipes (such as the ones that use Greg tools) you need to clear the table before doing the next recipe because the table cannot clear the tools from itself
Does the Hobbyists steam engine even need Fuel and water if it's fed an external steam input, as normally the fuel and water input are for the engine to produce it's own steam unless, it' was changed in this pack.
Last time he showed play time it was 58 hours and that was after one month since series start to he would only need to be playing 30 mins everyday :) Of course, he plays more than that
10 ingots in 2400 seconds? You do realize that is the same rate as using 1 iron ingot to 1 steel in 240 seconds? And you're only using iron, not steel dust
@@gardenofgrindat 6:32 you do say the correct time btw. Or did you mean that you thought the 1 ingot recipie was 400 seconds? Because then the 10 ones would still make sense as well

What a cool UA-camr, I hope he doesn’t need to breed bees for weeks on end.
what a cool youtuber i hope he finished atleast one series

@Dan you can use a crafting table to add a modifier to your tools (just surround it with the resource you wanna add, like redstone for haste)

Bee sure to stay sane when doing bees
Ohh Bee’have
You should buy rails and armor from the villagers then melt it down to get a stupid amount of iron
Thanks for this series it keeps me going :)
If you give a hobgoblin a pickaxe, he can work as a block breaker
Aye!
I’m aware of this mechanic, I did a little research…
Just need a lead haha! How lovely
With how expensive the aluminium dust is at 8 xp buckets per, maybe it would make sense tomake use of the oreberries you got from the quest, no?
Lets go new GoG
yay, btw i recently started the sky of grind modpack, but i have undiagnosed adhd and my hyperfixation will probably fade away ToT
If the hobby steam engine turns red, it will explode.
45:00 Dan you can place blocks under them 😂 You have water
Might wanna look into getting an unbreakable tinkers shuriken, pretty op ranged weapon :D
wow thats some nice grogtech
Gogtech you mean xd

Until a certain point, when you wait for stuff, you don't parallelize enough... MORE BBFS!!
Oooh metal time
🤘
Spiffy sandals
pog
Poggers
crafting tables are fireproof ....
Its crazy how thaumcraft 4 allows this modpack to be played on skyblock
you can also make red alloy on the smeltery which isnt mentioned anywhere for some reason
My advice is to backup your server before you plant the sacred oak sapling....
btw you can make smelter 5x5, 7x7 and 9x9 if I'm not mistaken
7x7 is the max
;)
Im dumb and keep calling this series "Garden of Spice"
The hobby steam engine can work with steam for other sources. It can generate if you want to. But with your setup, thats not someting you need to do.
Does the Hobbyists steam engine even need Fuel and water if it's fed an external steam input, as normally the fuel and water input are for the engine to produce it's own steam unless, it' was changed in this pack.
No. With Steam should work just fine. The engine can generate Steam or Accept Steam.
Can the thirsty tank reproduse lava like he do this to the water?
