In 2009, Chandra began experiencing symptoms of what was eventually diagnosed as burning mouth syndrome, as a result of which she is unable to sing, speak, laugh or cry without suffering intense pain. She has thus been rendered effectively mute. As a result of her illness Chandra retired from music.

      @@calmblueocean7243 Hi
Pleased you liked that track from '82.
No, no guitar background worth mentioning. I went to India to study Sitar. The music is very fixed different from western Music as there is no harmony, chord structures and all that other stuff. It is purely melodic(Ragas) with grace ornamentations and rhythmic with fixed time cycles (Tala). That track was a kind of fusion so not really classical Indian but a good fusion track and well produced by Huge Jones.

The world we live in now, the BBC would ban this song as it would be cultural appropriation, yes, I know what race Monsoon is but that is the world we live in, it eats itself now and will continue to.

I am sure you are in favor of..Or would you like to "cancel" my response..2-way street that one...Frankly a bit bored of the lazy "cancel culture" description...easy phrase for the limited of thought to mindlessly repeat...In the capitalist world money drives decisions by platforms such as UA-cam to remove certain content...The people who pay for the ads..Who monetize UA-cam ...Decide they don't want to be associated with certain things as it damages their bottom line. Also You Tube being a private company can basically decide its own terms of service and remove what they like...You want certain types of content then start your own platform and you can put up what you want...Cancel culture as you call it is market forces...And the market is driven by younger and younger people who have different views than the older folk who are less valuable as generally they have less disposable income...Apologies for going on..But hey freedom of speech....Have a great life !

@@jayzee6617 on free speech, UA-cam is exempt from the ramifications of the laws, due to the fact, anyone can say anything, the form of media means it just echos what is placed on the platform, if UA-cam is private or not as an enterprise, does not mean it can curtail free speech, so if it starts to editorialize, it cannot be exempt from the ramifications of the law, in regards to what it displays, look into it, in regards to " your" ( this is like texting, not a English book) I need to keep up with higher education in mathematics, physics, E & E, anatomy /physiology & coding, so I dont really care about finer parts of the language, the purpose is to propagate my sentiments etc, so what is your subject, gender studies, interpretive dance or culture studies? Oyeah we are not in a capitalistic system, if so govt would be very very small, not a cancer that keeps growing and taking up resources to survive, its a fact as you get older and learn of the world, you become more and more tory / Conservative, it comes with knowledge, try reading 1984, animal farm, documentaries : secrets of the magna carta on amazon, money as debt, dirty money on netflix, then let's talk and critique on the above,
