I like how this comment was talking about gba gold and silver when they said “old pokemon games”, yet every single reply thought it was talking about HGSS
This was my second Pokémon game, when the first Ds came out I used to hide under my covers playing, damn I miss those times. Starter I first picked was totodile and the elite four fight with lance was the biggest hype after a long day of school
Between this and the Black and White games we really reached the peak of this franchise without realizing it. I always loved how nostalgic this sounded like you were remembering the original Gold and Silver Games back then. Now i instead feel nostalgic for this version instead. Just a beautiful take.
This music is nostalgic, i remember when my parents buyed me pokemon hearthgold and i heard this music. When i hear this music, i feel my body chilling.
12 years since I first played Pokémon....12 years later....I still have that copy of soul silver and that same pokewalker....it's just out of battery....good times....happy times
Brings back memories of spamming the elite four and hearing this every time after resetting, man I loved this game to death. Crazy how long its been since this came out and how times have changed since then, both in my life and in the world generally. Really brings out the "everyone grows up eventually" vibes for me
This is where my very first Pokemon journey began. Totodile was my partner of choice. I vividly remember going to the store with my Grandma to pick out a new DS game and decided to give the Pokemon franchise a try. I don't think I could have possibly started off with a better game than HGSS, frankly.
I remember finally beating this game after I had it for ages. I was a pretty dumb kid so I guess I never could figure it out. After I beat Lance I listened to this theme for about 25 minutes, just reminiscing... What a great game!
This song always calms me down and makes me cry, I come here to listen to it whenever I'm sad and I remember my childhood and the time when I was happy and didn't have depression...
I miss the old days. :( First game was Pokémon Ranger and it was difficult but nostalgia. This was my main source of my love for Pokémon back in the day. I miss the heck out of this game even if I never became the champion of Johto. I have been getting back into Pokémon recently and beat Y and Ultra Moon but they will never feel like how Heartgold felt to me. Pokémon wise I felt like the Pokémon I grew mostly with was Feraligatr. Just had so many memories of this game and this journey of a game. So sad to see the good golden days pass by without even knowing they were the golden days of ones own life.
I still have my original copy of Pokémon HeartGold, never going to sell it, never going to trade it. I desperately have been craving nostalgia such as this lately. Back when a simple game was able to make me feel so much emotion all at once. I'll say it, I really miss this era of Pokémon, But this is one Pokémon game that I hope they never remaster. This game is one that I feel needs to stay in the past, to protect how great it was and still is.
I thought it was great how they remixed most of the themes for HG/SS, and I speak as someone's whose first game they purchases was Silver. Are there any Genthree-ers in the house, and what do you think about the ORAS soundtrack? Do you wish that they had made more drastic remixes, or just left them as they are now?
Maybe a little late, but ORAS remixes have a certain “dreamlike” quality to them Sometimes it’s good for like lilycove’s theme, but themes like Mt. Pyre don’t sound as amazing imo
It’s 2023 I still love this song. SoulSiver was the first game I ever got when I was 8 and this was the perfect song to introduce me to Pokémon. It changed my life and is now a big source of entertainment for me. I’m 20 now I still play Pokémon to this day, I also love how Scarlet/Violet made the Cabo Poco theme similar to this. This song is so beautiful and dear to me and it will never get old. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I feel like I'm back home after years on a hard felt journey 🥲🥲🥲 "The kitchen sink is spotless, just the way Mom likes it." Ive been to 2 pokemon regionals this year and no matter how far I go from home, this is playing on my car speakers when I get back to my hometown.
Will never forgive HGSS fans for being so annoying to the point where I don’t even like saying I enjoy these games anymore because I don’t wanna be associated with them (but they are still very dear to my heart)
I.... really don't like this arrangement. Strays too far from the original and looses focus at times with how much flourish was added. I like lots of ornaments and flourish but it's just a bit too much with this one. Really sucks because listening through this OST I hate a lot of what they did with it. Like how they took out that awesome arpeggio at the end of Route 26's music right before it loops or Goldenrod's mood going from chill to too upbeat. They missed/changed quite a bit of the original character.
They were made in different times, and I do believe that the respective versions match what they were trying to go for during the time and the game it was meant for. This arrangement really resonates with the game world as does the original. By itself, I can agree the original to be surperior.
Why do I always get sad when I think that the old pokemon games aren't so new anymore
@First Speaker yoooooo same
@First Speaker Same..
Feels like they came out a couple years ago and I should be playing ORAS right now. 10 years flies right by.
I like how this comment was talking about gba gold and silver when they said “old pokemon games”, yet every single reply thought it was talking about HGSS
Because you know that they won't get quality remakes. 💧
These memories are golden.
Like the game itself is lol
heartgold you could dsay 🤣🤣🤣🤣
yes, they make me cry tears of silver
Its "crystal" clear!
@Student: Jordan Richard this theme is more "shiny" Than pokemon silver and it is "crystal" Clear to see I think it should get a "gold" medal
This was my second Pokémon game, when the first Ds came out I used to hide under my covers playing, damn I miss those times. Starter I first picked was totodile and the elite four fight with lance was the biggest hype after a long day of school
This was my first

This gives me chills... this arrangement is beautiful
New Bark Town isnt so new any more... The memories *sniffle* T_T
Nostalgic
Listening to this with headphones is a totally different experience. That upright bass man
These games shine like gold in your memories
A hint to shiny pokemon being introduced in gen 2

This brings me back to late 2010/early 2011 when I first got into Pokémon after a bit of a delayed start compared to most of my friends.
We all live in New Bark Town somewhere
4:07 beautiful
I can't listen to this without crying, it's so beautiful and brings me great memories 🥲
The town where winds of a new beginning blow :)
such a deliciously nostalgic experience to play hgss ..
This game, it made the relaxing themes in Johto even better! That's the way it should be. Remakes should improve everything.
Totally agree
You kidding? The original sounds way more nostalgic this Is generic af
@@alessiominervini1175 I guess it depends on how you view it. I see the generic sound as what makes it nostalgic.
@@alessiominervini1175 hell nah the original sounds really weird compared to this. tho i would still bop my head to it
@@Blandyandy123 the original has a specific feeling, the remake One Is lazy and generic

theyre so evil for doing the piano solo bit that makes me so sad and nostalgic
I’m home..
Scarlet and Violet's home town theme has a bit of this songs opening.... i'm gonna be balling my eyes out if a Johto Remake is on it's way🥹😭
@@OHKOKyle I’m from the future. Game Freak doesn’t give a sh** about Johto apparently.
I can hear my totodile in the distance…
And my first Cyndaquil
Same here 😭
This song always calms me down and makes me cry, I come here to listen to it whenever I'm sad and I remember my childhood and the time when I was happy and didn't have depression...
I got a nds and I’m constantly going back to this town just to hear this song
Certainly one of the best "home" themes in Pokemon. Littleroot Town is still the best, but that's probably just me being a sucker for GenThree.
this was one of the best Pokemon ever
both gbc and ds remake

I miss this. When all was perfect. I want go back in this times😢

I still got my original copy of SoulSilver.
I literally had Heart Gold with the PokéWalker as a kid. I lost my game but I still have my walker (although it definitely doesn't work anymore).
Oh my old memories
What is this sudden emotion?

Joel Szasz Gen 3 was my first and I loved ORAS the remixes were really good and it was nice to see new megas

I can’t wait to explore Johto again someday in a revamped way

Same as you brother
When you beat lance and load back into the game
超级好听!😍
gives me da nostaligia
So suspenseful
You think so?
My first pokemon game was Silver and the only way I could play the remake was through an emulator...happy my order of Soul Silver came in 🥳🥳🥳
I just played this game and i was instantly like.
Yeah,no get on my phone
Yae

That's how I feel about B/W fans... Both those, HGSS and Platinum are the best ever produced, but the fandom is what kills them all.
The original is far better imho.
It's just what you grew up with

I can agree with that.
For whatever reason this reminds me of air on the g string by Bach lol
