I love the route themes from S/V, and the eastern province ones are my favorite by far. Love the overall feel to them, and they remind me of the route 10 theme from B/W and B2W2 which is my favorite route music in the whole franchise

Imagine you're walking through East Providence, right? You turn behind you and then there's a HERD OF TAUROS CHASING YOU. Welcome to my East Providence experience.
All the province themes have their worth, but I keep coming back to East Province. There's such a sense of unfulfilled yearning and restlessness that sticks with you and doesn't let go. The main riding theme gives off so much energy, and the melody carried by the bandoneon(?) and flute have a wandering soul to them that makes it so unique. I love how the on-foot theme is a stripped back version of the riding theme, but reveals so much of the inner machinery at work: the guitars, piano and zither bounce off each other so perfectly without the melody, even though it's always at the back of your mind. The city/town arrangement is charming, but a bit sweet for my taste (maybe it's the major chords). The zither comes out really well, and the vibraphone reminds me of Circhester. The battle theme embodies the restless quality the furthest with its ceaseless flamenco strumming and mercurial backbeat, even the bass gets a moment to show off. It's the definitive member of the set for me. I'm not a big fan of the Area 3 version: it loses its restless quality (along with the entire rhythmic backbone), replaced with shaking strings and lumbering horns, which along with the timpani quickly get tiring for such a big area, but the anvils are a nice touch. Tagtree Thicket does it right: the horns drive onwards rather than bog it down, and the fuller orchestra adds majesty to the original without subtracting from the theme's core qualities.

The East Province themes are honestly some of the best overworld themes in all of Pokémon, I could listen to this stuff for hours
