What strange timing. I didn’t search for this. It was just a suggested video. I replaced 8 outlets in our home this weekend and one of the was badly sunken and a pain. It needs the solution you have presented here. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for watching, it's an easy fix and works great to get the outlets flush with the wall and secure. Here's a link to the spacers: amzn.to/3HIv7MF but most of the big box hardware stores will have them also.
I appreciate your videos but you should show people they should be testing both the top and bottom receptacle. If this were a switched/split outlet you could have one not testing as live while the other is very much live.
Great tip! Always makes sure the power is off at the circuit breaker for both outlets and test both outlets for safety before working on them. If a person doesn’t feel comfortable confirming the power is off they should contact a qualified professional to do the work.
Seven minute sure is a lot of time to just talk I really hate a video where you do more talking than actually showing how to do the project I’ll just go watch another video all the Intro and outro and everything in between is not needed it’s very annoying

Same thing happened to me 🤔 getting ready to decorate for Christmas and had a few outlets I needed to fix lol thank you!
I just finished replacing ALL the ALUMINUM wiring and devices in my 1970 house with copper. I needed these for 3 outlets. Thanks for the video!
super clear and easy to see exactly what to do. Thanks for thorough explanation
Right to the point. Thanks!
This was so detailed and helpful. Ty for sharing.
I find that if I put the "male" side towards the box, they catch on the box and won't rotate when you put the screw in.
Great video. Thanks my man
can you also use half of the mating pair ?
You need longer screws?
Thanks for the video. I like the light. Where did you get the plug light?
Is there ever a time where you would need to get a longer cover plate screw?
Ive heard this is agaisnt code , is that true? Also whats the risk really ?
I did this and then my light switch wasn’t working when I turned the power back on. Any insight ?
