  • While working on a trailer, we had some problems with our new welder. No big deal, we'll just fix it and get back to work. Just another day on the homestead. Stay tuned for more off grid homesteading and living off the good of the land.
Check out the 210 mp here lincolnelectric...

I just bought a Lincoln Power Mig 210 mp, brought it home, plugged it in, flipped the on switch and something flashed on the screen but it wouldn't turn on! Been digging for answers online for the past 4 hours to no avail. Hopefully AirGas can help me tomorrow but I'd hate to wait weeks to have it repaired.

Not sure why a MP machine would not already have that connector from the factory…other than to sell you more parts?

  • @Synic08

The reason the hose popped is cause it should never be ran above maybe 15-16... and that’s for a big tip in a tig... MAYBE... but, for mig, 7-12 is usually the sweet spot... if your losing shield, you should use stick or flux core.... I’m not really sure the little actuator for the gas likes having 30psi on it either....

Pulsing may have been bad ground, to high or loose tension or way to low wire speed. Honestly I've never been into most of these new machines. Invertec 200, dynasty or maxstar are phenomenal machines. Far as mig goes 250 amp machine or bust. Miller 252 is really nice

Lincoln should have installed the foot control adapter from the factory, since they sell this as a TIG process machine. Getting to look inside the welder really demonstrates Lincolns sloppy craftsmanship; The fact that they didn't even put a basic hose clamp on the gas line only highlights their nickel and dime philosophy. Great video though!!

  • @wantblackwolf

Yes this video is a lot better than your other. The audio was much better coming in both ears. And the audio in the body shop seemed fine I was able to focus on you talking and barely noticed anything that would require a different mic. It's interesting how much better and more enjoyable it is to watch a video when the audio is in both ears. Your new camera and mic increased the quality to pro. Great video and good luck on the tig I don''t think I would have the patience for tig welding.

Flux core is flux core. It’s dirty and welds different. Turning your gas up doesn’t always work but if it does it’s still a mig weld. They use the same machine but are two different processes. Mig is way cleaner and nicer to work with but you need gas coverage.

    • @TheGoodoftheLand

+roni 80 The best way to learn is stick welding and you can pick up a cheap used setup on Craigslist. If you are interested in mig welding a Lincoln135 or Miller 141 are great welders. The inly concern anout buying a used mig welder would be the gun and the condition of the liner that the wire runs through on its eay from the welder to the stinger (gun). Hope that helps! Welding is awesom and can open so many creative doors. I highly recommend it.

+Beto Torres Both high quality multi process machines. Either one would be a good purchase. I weld on both miller and Lincoln and prefer Lincoln but this is just a personal preference.

What do you think of the new Harbor Freight "Vulcan" line and their MP? Some are saying it's a straight clone of the Lincoln.

+Ruckus_FPV Saw it for the first time yesterday. Lot of money for a knockoff and the biggest problem with HB tools is the electronics. I would orobably buy a 180 hd .

      The Good of the Land
A good friend of mine has the 210MP. It's a good little machine. But speaking of electronics, his machine died in the middle of TIG welding (torch in MY hand).
Repair facility told him it couldn't be fixed because Lincoln is having parts supply issues, as they are having a lot of failures.
However, since they couldn't fix it, Lincoln sent him a brand new machine. At least they handled it.

Easy-peezey when you have the right tools for the job! Growing up in Anheuser-Busch country I am sooo tired of their products. I do like Miller beer. Miller is not bitter like other beers. Miller is smooth and delicious and I'd rather drink that than ANY AB-Inbev products any day of the week. Budweiser has lost its' beechwood flavor. Budweiser, like Busch beer, is like drinking water. There is no flavor to it.
