I got my MP about 2 years ago ,paid too much but that's another story .Needed it for some fine tig work and mig , mainly needed a good shop machine , I had some 1/4 box steel to weld one day and wanted to try the stick . It is awesome with stick , it is still under warranty , I opted for the five year . I hammered it at first , maxed out the duty cycles on all processes except for the aluminum spool . Not happy about the lack of interface like no pulse weld but the guy at the shop that I sold me on it said hes sold 20 units no problems from anyone and one guy drilled a hole in the back and feeds a 30 pound roll and has been running 100 pounds a week for the last 2 years at.045 sr70 wire . I don't need to but know that if needed ,the machine will do it .And I do a lot of field service and running off the genny is a must.
It is a well built welder, however I wouldn't pay the 1700-2000 dollar new machine price tag now that I have reviewed a bunch of budget welders...I would have a different opinion if the machine had the ability to Tig weld with HF start opposed to lift tig.
The plug on my lincoln 210 is the 230v 3 prong the one on the wgen9500df looks to be 240v 4 prong....how do you swap that out or can you just get an adaptor for my 3 prong to go to 4 prong?
Do you by any chance follow me on Instagram? Follow me there and I can post a picture... I am PRETTY sure the welder will plug in, its just the cord will sorta be upside down (ground up)... The nema 14-50 just has a neutral that the 210mp plug wont use. The welder when running 220v has two hots and the ground and if you flip the plug I THINK it will plug into the generator (looking at the picture) .. The reason I ask if you follow me on IG is I can test this out... I have my generator wired directly into my panel and then have an outlet wired to my panel for my welder/plasma cutter...
SO I was wrong.. The nema 14-50 is slightly larger in size🤦♂️ I did not know that until now, I tried plugging in my cord and it did not fit. So in this case you can see if there's an adapter or you may have to make a custom adapter extension cord using a 14-50 nema plug and the proper outlet making sure to use the proper ga wire... I made one using 6ga. Hope this helped.. Good luck👍 Side note the generator is awesome, I love mine the remote start is where it's at!
Haha it’s all good! I did find an adaptor for it so that should work! That’s remote idk how much I’ll use that I’m using it to go mobile in the summer when I’m off work for the most part unless we do have a power outage
The Nova Tig Kit is still holding up however ever since I got the ArcCaptain TIG200 I was introduced to HF start Tig welding and since then have not used the lift arc tig setup. And I bet the TIG200 is about the same price as the Nova kit... If you are looking to learn tig welding I would suggest the HF start... However if you are looking for additional options for your lincoln 210 then the nova kit is a good value and works fine. Hopefully this helps you... Good luck 👍

Thanks for the video!
How is the nova tig setup holding up. It’s so much less expensive than the Lincoln so I’m hoping it’s good.
