Ever since I watched your Snowman video for my V-REP class, you are an influence to my life as a designer!
Hey Ryan in your C chapter 22.57 I keep following your steps but when I duplicate the roof then press P to slide the duplicated roof back down it doesn't go according to your outcome. Is there something there you might have forgotten to mention
This is the best Blender tutorial for beginners ever...
thanks!
These are the best blender tutorials I've ever watched! On other courses, the only thing I've been able to achieve is adding the preset shapes, but in these videos, you make it all so simple. Thanks so much.
Glad your able to follow along!
Agreed! I remember trying the famous donut tutorial a couple years ago, and that got me completely lost, so I gave up. This tutorial is so much better, it works your way up in simple small steps.
God I wish I can give a million views and likes just for the way you dropped the "Flipped Normals" part that was a cool way for even a simple concept. Great tutorial series thank you.
Lol, Thanks so much!
7:00 minutes in and I already want to say thank you 1000 times, very detailed and well explained
thank you for watching!
as a 2d artist who wants to learn 3d this tutorial is SO fantastic, thank you ryan!!
Thanks for watching!
This is much better than any other tutorial I've watched. On all the other tutorials I didn't actually learn anything. I started watching this on part 3 and I didn't watch the other ones and I still knew what to do. Everything about this made it very intuitive and well-made. I've been struggling with learning blender for the last week since I just got it and this actually made me understand the program. I'm glad I found this. I was a little hesitant going into this video because of the view count and such, however it deserves way more views than the other tutorials out there. Dropped a sub.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful.
You my friend, are a gift to any blender newbie. I've been planning to learn this program for years but always dreaded it. Everytime I tried following other tutorials I wanted to pull my hair out, you however make it so simple its actually a delight to learn. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
thanks for watching! By the way, this series is a few years old, so you might be interested in checking out my new update beginner tutorial series, that I'm currently releasing on my UA-cam channel.
this is the best i have got so far one of the best but i fell that some places it is little complex
like the handle
Dude I’m a complete beginner, like I haven’t even downloaded the program yet and have zero experience in any of this stuff, just know my way around a pc well. Your tutorial is by far the best I’ve seen.
I like to understand what I’m doing and why I’m doing it because it’s the easiest way for me to learn, as opposed to just following directions.
I understand everything you’re doing and as you start repeating some of the steps I can easily remember what goes next because you’ve broken it down so well and explained what everything means/does.
Programs like these are so intimidating to learn because of how complex the tools are to total beginners like myself but this makes it so easy to understand and follow. I’m excited to get started soon! Thank you!
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching!
As an experienced(but very rusty) Blender user, I have to say that this one of the best beginner tutorials. I have just started and will recommend this to my nephew who is interested in 3D graphics. @Ryan King Art : An easier way to get rid of edge loops is to press delete/x and select edge loops at the bottom of the menu. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much.
@@RyanKingArtGreat to learn both ways to delete edge loops. In my Blender v4.0 it always shows 0 edge loops deleted no mater how many were included.
This was the first Blender tutorial that I was able to follow from start to finish. I actually learned a lot too and wasn't just following steps like in other tutorials. Thank you for the great video. 👍
Thanks for watching!
I just started my journey into Blender(course taking). I looked around for tutorials of this kind. And this serie "complete beginners turtorials" is finally becoming my starting point.
By reading also the comments I realised I made the best availlable choice😊
I really do appreciate these tutorials. I tried getting into blender a couple months ago and the other tutorials I found weren't as engaging, I could only follow each part step by step without actually knowing how to apply these tools elsewhere. With your tutorials I'm able to learn a lot more so much so that I'm able to ignore your instructions in some segments of your video and find my own way to reach the desired goal.
Thank you Ryan for these tutorials!! I was given an assignment I had to pass to get into education for game art! Making and designing a house in blender! This really helped since I just started using it for the first time, and after watching these tutorials I really feel experienced!! I will watch all the other videos you upload, and I'll definitely learn more! With that a great video step by step and a good pace! As beginner I give this tutorial a 10/10! Thanks!!
glad you liked it!
A much easier way to merge the coplanar vertices around 25:45, is to select them and hit the Delete key and choose 'Limited Dissolve'. This will merge any vertices that lie on the same plane. It lets you clean up both sides of the roof in just one click.
Great advice. The merge he showed actually didn't work for me, it would keep saying "0 vertices removed"
Wow
I love how simple and easy you make things seem
The best tutorial i've ever seen. Love you so much
thanks!
This is easily the best and most informative video that I could find. I feel way more confident navigating now and am understanding the process better. Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
I am very excited to see the upcoming videos, especially in texturing. I hope this series involve some advanced tutorials, not only for beginners.
Thanks!
Mate! You are natural born teacher! Very thank you for this tutorial.
Thanks for watching!
This is the best course for me so far , i have learned a lot in just 3 parts , it’s very easy to follow and very informative . Thank you 😊
Great to hear that! Thanks for watching.
This is a great refresher even if you're a more advanced user, having the modeling basics down is a must!
thanks for watching!
that was amazing , I always wanted that comprehensive yet easy start to grasp the concept, thank you a million
You're welcome! 😃
This is such a great tutorial but damn the chimney being right where the window is sure gets to me. :P
Haha yeah I don't know how I missed that when i was making the house. 😂
This is great stuff. Really appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into this.
Had same issue with scaling a rectangular window frame a couple of hours ago. Spent a good 10 minutes looking for a way to even out the scaling 😂 ended doing what you did by manually changing the scale along the x axis.
Picked up some great ideas. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Glad its helpful! Thanks so much for watching!
Bro you're the Best Teacher for real!
Thank you very much 😀
best tutorial ever made, thank you.
glad you like it!
Thanks for the tutorial. I appreciate the effort you put into this to make it easy to understand for beginners. Thanks again!
Glad its helpful! Thank you for watching!
this course is really good, the joy i felt when i moved a vertex and it mirrored correctly for the first time was immeasruable. going back to the vid, i have a house to finish
glad you like it! thanks for watching.
the best blender tutorial , its really helpful . as a beginner , you cant understand how i feel so proud of me . thank you so much , you make a good job , keep it up bru
thanks for watching!
I will always be with you my love Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge you teach it in such an easy way with us, no one else is able to teach like you
thanks for watching
dude you’re tutorials are awesome thanks so much
Glad you like them!
Great and detailed explanations as Always! Thanks man!
Welcome!
Bro you are a HERO
Thanks!!
Thank you so much, it is really helpful and I can only imagine the effort you put into this!!!
Glad it was helpful!
very clear and on point. thank you for this. Best tutorial!!!
glad you like it!
Bro tankyou so much i'm following every step i'm at part 4, i already love your style and videos thanks.
Glad you like it!
Super tutorial.. I'm amazed at how much I'm able to do with just the things I learned in this video :)
Just one thing that I'm not sure was clear, though. I was having trouble replicating the mirror effect, Ryan made it look so easy! It turns out that each object has its own origin point within it (little orange dot), and that's what it mirrors on, which is why he cut the box in half, so that the origin point was on that edge. So the way I fixed it is to go into edit mode, select all vertices, move them over so the dot is where you want to mirror, then go back into object mode and add the mirror modifier. Put the point outside and you can do cool things like make twin meshes!
Hey Ryan, you are the best in blender tutorial so far. Thank you. I am new to blender but a lot of other youtubers don't teach well.
thanks for watching!
Thank you so much and your tutorial is one of the most easy-to-absorb ones for designer like me! (who doesn't have a numpad)
Glad it helped!
I like it so much brother, God bless you for free tutorials
Thank you! : )
Thank you very much! This tutorial was the best tutorial I had ever seen. Thanks a lot!
Glad you liked it!
Very very good. Maybe a bit difficult for a real beginner.
I love your course. So well explained.
Wonderful work

The chimney is right over the window! Where will the fireplace be?
Great tutorial! I really appreciate the attention to details and repeating certain actions a few times to help us learn them. Thanks for the great videos!
Ooof, I never noticed that. Lol! You could move the chimney over a bit. Thanks! : )
Best tutorial I’ve found.. keep it up!
thank you!
Ryan sir you are simply great...
Thank you!
New Subscriber, and Blender user. So far so good. I do take a lot more time on tutorials than most people and expand within. For instance, I followed your tutorial to a T. Then stopped at the roof adding section of this video, and having a good grasp from your last video on modes, view port controls, and hotkeys, expanded on the house. Starting with the Units. I need a more realistic setting to place things within house, and helping to Standardize the Graphics, animations, resolutions, and all other things considered.
For those curios about Units, and how to change them. Units are listed under the Scene tab in your Editor Tabs on the Right side of the view port, as of Blender 4.1 Scene Tab is located five down from the very top of the Editor Tabs, Saying you've added none, nor changed the order since using Blender. Units is located within Scene's Tab, You may select Imperial, Metric, or none, standard choice wise. I'm sure there are conversion editors that can be implemented, or even referencing the conversions yourself, converting the result you desire from say a yod, to feet, or meters, then just applying your converted values. Most geometries your only going to need 2 or 3 reference values to get a baseline.
Anyway this is useful to me since I will be using this scene for cinematics in a project I'll be endeavoring. So I need, For human readability, and Graphics conversion standard for other things listed above to keep in mind resolution, Graphics Quality, Scaling, Conversions, ect. I'll probably smash many of Ryan King's tutorials into this file, lol. Great work, and professional. You could run a show your work event on your channel. Just an idea brother, keep up the awesome job.
Another great tutorial! If you're completely new to blender I would recommend Ryan's channel for sure!
Thank you!
Really good tutorial, thank you. please keep up your great work.
Thanks, will do!
Epic channel man! Simple to follow, just what I was loving for. SUBSCRIBED :)
thanks for the sub!
Thank you for the wonderful how to guide
welcome!
Thank you Ryan, I´m learning this program and your tutorials are one of my favorites bc of the attention to detail, I´m excited for the texturing vids
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching : )
This is just what I needed, I would love to model some buildings! I have the sculpting down I think.
Nice!
Thank you so much for this video. I found it very helpful and built my own house. :)
Awesome. Thanks for watching!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Very well explained
glad you like it!
thank you ! this tutorial is great, I'm learning about isolating objects and other things i didn't know how to do yet :)
thank you for watching!
Im new to blender and your tutorial is extremely helpful, thanks!
glad it helped!
By the way, this tutorial series is a few years old, and a little outdated, so I'd recommend checking out my new updated beginner tutorial series. Link is in the description, or you can find it here: ua-cam.com/video/sgMfEq3pDE0/v-deo.html
Your way is good and simple .❤

thanks for watching!
Best best ever 3d tutorial in my life thnks sir for this level of tutorial ❤️
glad you like it!
Thnx mhan such a great video ❤️
Your welcome!
Great video, thanks! For anyone who had trouble merging like myself, the shortcut to merge was "alt + m" not just "m"
Thanks Jordan! Hmm, that's weird. For me the shortcut key is M. And I checked the Blender Manual and it says its M too. Wonder why that is.
docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/modeling/meshes/editing/mesh/merge.html
@@RyanKingArt yeah I’m not sure. I’m using an older version of blender so maybe that’s why. Had to look it up in my key bindings to be sure
Thank you 💟
You are welcome!
Best tutorial that you made me from 0 knowledge to begginer.i watched first two parts.
thanks for watching!
These are wonderful. Will most likely be checking out your Patreon if I am able to stick with it!!!
Awesome, thank you!
for sure this is good
thanks!
AMAZING
thanks! 🙂
I must confess, as a beginner, I'm glad I came across this video. I'm learning rapidly.
Please I do have a question: on trying to delete the door face, I find out mine also deletes the back side too leaving a door open behind too.
How do I handle this?
Hmm, there are two door faces? Can you just delete both of them?
Thanks for this 🙏💕
You're welcome!
Thanks ..Superb
Thank you!
Thanks friend.
Thanks for watching!
best tutorial
Thanks!
thank you
You're welcome
Umm, after mirroring I notice a gap in between the mirrored and the selected object, and i have to click on y axis in the modifier to see the mirrored side. i have no idea where i went wrong, help me with suggetions. Also i have version 3.6.
Excellent video. That tea-slurp though...out of nowhere...😆
lol 😄
thanks
You're welcome!
I gotta say, after years of Andrew's Donut Tutorial, it's nice to have something else for a change, that actually goes into details about vertices, Edges and Faces, instead of just sculpting.
glad you like it! thanks for watching.
@@RyanKingArt Hey man, thanks for making it!
Hello Ryan thank you so much for your videos they are helping me a lot, but I have a question I dont understand the reason why you duplicate the door in the min 34:19 I dint get it how you use it later? and I also shif + N what is it for? Thank you again I hope you answer my questions. 🙏
Thank you! this tutorial has been amazing. However, i did run into a problem at 26:33 on how u managed to have the wire frame shown only for the roof while having the rest of the house as solid. Which caused me to select everything when pressing AA.
You're the BEST
thanks!
Thank you for the wonderful course. I am facing one issue when I create a mirror. Upon creating, it is not joining it properly leaving a gap between original and mirrored object
This tutorial is great, thank you. Is there a trick to get things to move where you want them to go? I tried the right click center cursor, but I seem to always misjudge where in space and time that thing is, and it will end up in the middle of the house. I'm having trouble placing the window crosses in the actual windows, and my house looks like it belongs in some cursed cemetary with the crosses sticking out lolol HALP
Hi sir, you are very good human sir. U r my best teacher. thank you from india
thanks for watching!
Ryan King you literally are on the best teachers on UA-cam for Blender. I've just gotten my start and i've learned Premiere,Lightroom, After Effects, PhotoShop, Logic Pro X & Final Cut Pro. Blender thus far is the most difficult program i've ever learned. Thank you so much for going step by step. For people starting out these step by step instructions are so crucial for learning this software and dealing with the incredible amount of little beginner moments that are tricky at first.
you are doing the world a service! Thanks!
One quick question I wanted to ask you is if there is a way that you constantly are aware of whether we are on the X,Y, or Z axis? is there a way to know that by referencing something on screen or is that intuitive to you at this point?
Thanks Evan! I appreciate the comment! Yes, When your on the X Axis, the line is Red. on the Y Axis, the line is Green, and the Z Axis is Blue. So you can know what axis your on by the colors.
I think that gizmo is what are you looking for (not sure if you just jumped here into the series) - click little bow with arrow icon to toggle it.
@@Qaczka Yeah, that might be what he was looking for.
Your videos are amazing!!! I am stuck however, on the mirroring phase. When I try and add the mirroring modifier nothing happens. Any ideas?
That cool slurp! :D
Lol 😄
16:21 ok im assuming I could s ,x then scale on either the x ,Y or z axis the same way? and also thank you for the awesome content
UA-cam needs to create some 'essential videos' feature, where if someone is trying to learn something, the videos that do it best are always at the top-like this channel. Ofc I wouldn't want to deprive smaller youtubers, I plan to have my own prof channel (unrelated content) too some day, but still I would've learned Blender much better if I saw your vids first instead of others and I wouldn't have lost interest in Blender because I didn't know how to use it properly. Anyways, continuing to enjoy your vids and practicing as the same time so I pick up the skills. So thanks again Ryan for your amazing work.
glad you like it! thanks for watching.
@@RyanKingArt You're welcome-keep up the great work bro! :)
it's been like 6 months since the last time i used blender and now i forgot all the shortcuts🤣 anyways thank you so much for this video its really helpful
