You are really embracing allllllll the big chunky books at once, but sounds like you are enjoying your time with them. Oh man I know absolutely the fur battle over summer, it is non stop with the kitties no matter how much you brush.
The darkness manifesto looks interesting. I've been studying the Ayurvedic clock. I notice the difference when I sleep on my friends 20 acres, compared to my city street. It's such a luxury to have a bit of land now, my lifelong dream ! I have the Edith Grossman translation of Don Q. and it's been on my big bucket list for years. I read an abridged edition years ago, and loved it. I may start it in July and just silently follow along with your group. I love both C.M & L. D. Am currently reading my last book for June On the range...Butcher's Crossing. Salutations to all the kitties :)
@@melrose718 That’s so interesting about Ayurveda. I need to research it more. All I know is that I’m mostly vata . There’s only two of us reading Don Quixote unless some other people join in the last moment. Definitely feel free to join the group. I think Angie has read it in the past but it will be brand new to me. I haven’t read Butcher’s Crossing yet 😊
The old cat-behind-the-camera dilemma - I felt anxious for you. 😂 I’m very content with being a city slicker, but I understand the ubiquity of artificial light is an interference in so many ways.
Loved hearing what you’re currently reading! ♥️😍 I’m hoping to pick up Martin Chuzzlewit with a few friends and I’m in part 2 of Kristin Lavransdatter among many other things! 🤣 And I love cats 😂
It's been dark and rainy all day here in Orillia, On. A perfect excuse to curl up with my books. I'm following Melinda @ A Web Of Stories, she's doing a long Shakespeare project, reading one play per month. I really struggle to understand Shakespeare so I'm trying. June is "Love's Labor Lost" and in July it's "The Merchant of Venice". I will figure Shakespeare out one day !!!
_Rom-Commers_ sounds really fun, looking forward to hearing about it if you get to it. Good luck at work! I'm going to try to read _Paradise Lost_ , or at least the first five chapters, _Out_ , by Natsu Korino, a mystery book with the word Thurday in it, and some sort of sci fi at the very least, maybe _Redshirts_ by John Scalzi. Happy July!
Doing great here, thanks for asking Summer! For Jane Austen July my pile of possibilities are: Sense and Sensibility, Belinda, Pamela, and Clarissa. Some are from authors that Jane Austen loved. I'm currently reading Dead Man's Walk and loving it (of course). I'm excited to get to Comanche Moon next year as I know it's your favorite.
I’m going to spend July finishing two books that I left unfinished, maybe three. And I’m going to read Persuasion. And I have some other stuff too. I need to record a bookish video. Won’t you show us what your working on at the library?
Is that the Edith Grossman translation of DQ? That’s the translation I read a few years ago and it’s the translation I wish I had, but I think I’m reading John Rutherford’s translation.
Lonesome Dove is wonderful!
@@fallenangelz291 ❤️ I love the whole series
Salutations Summer. Go well.
Salutations Nathan 🤗

Karen! Good luck with Shakespeare, the struggle is real 😊
I still havent read "Merchant..." after getting the assignment 30 years ago. Maybe I ought to do my homework!
@@ChristopherEvenstar that's the great thing about books, they don't go anywhere, it's never too late 🙂
I finished reading Stephen King's 11/22/63 and really enjoyed it. I think I may give IT a try or possibly THE STAND. Yikes!
I enjoyed all of those King’s 😊
