So glad to have you back on the challenge! I believe in you! Les Miserables is magnificent. I have that translation but haven’t read it yet. Hopefully it won’t fall apart!
Les Mis will be the first big book I have decided to read in Jan and February. I have taken the challenge in a different route. Stop using the library except for the 1 monthly book for the bookclub I’m in. I need and want to read what I have at home but get distracted with the new releases so I request them from the library.
Wonderful to hear your progress! I need to get around to grabbing a replacement copy of Wizard's First Rule, too! I haven't read that series in nearly a decade and it might be time to revisit them!
Good progress. I didn’t think buying a replacement should count against the challenge. I have the Donougher translation of Les Misérables on my Kindle. It’s a possibility for March of the Mammoths. The Fall of Giants is another.
I loved about 70% of Les Mis, but I would have edited the other 30% out, the book really got me into the musical too. Have you read The Hunchback of Notre Dame, I've heard that is really good? I definitely have 500 unread books in my house but I love buying them too much to give it up for the years it would take me.
I haven’t seen any adaptation of Les Miserables yet. Oh I loved all of it. I haven’t read The Hunchback. Yes, you have a nice view of your library in your videos 😊
Happy books really are rare.

Yes! 😊
I bought that edition of Les Mis too. 😊 It was a great read and loved reading it with you and Mark.
Thank you Sonja! 😊
Good luck on the challenge!
Thank you!

I’m guilty of the same thing 😆 Les Miserables is wonderful!

I loved the first 4 maybe up to 7. But after that I kept reading them hoping it would get better.
Good luck on the challenge! I just participated for the first time this year with 100 books.
That’s great Lindsey! Thank you!

Thanks Greg! Fall of the Giants is another favorite!
I’m reading Fall of Giants now. It’s been great.
@@knittingbooksetc.2810 Good to know. Thanks.
I agree that replacement copies should get a pass.

I hope to read Les Miserables too. Maybe in French.
You’ll have to let us know how you like it. 😊
