Friend has a boat he purchased last year. After several trips out with him, told him I’ve never heard of a boat doing this - must be a safety feature on the 2021 boats. Decided to search You Tube and found this, problem fixed! Thanks.
Thanks for the video. My yamaha throttle is very sticky and a little hard to push. But 2 spots that are most commonly used, drift back. I adjusted to get the best of both but it's right. How do I correct this to make it smooth?
Hi, cheers for the tip...I have twin F150's with the exact same twin throttle control as yours...is there any way you can add an additional twin remote control in the mix, like outside the cabin on the gunwale etc (for lobster potting etc)...thanks
For my boat, this information isn't helpful, really. Tightening the screw increases the resistance on the throttle lever, but increases the drop-back in throttle that occurs when I remove my hand from the lever. In other words, I can increase throttle to 6000rpm, but once I release the throttle, it drops back to 5000rpm. Loosening the detent will reduce this immediate throttle drop-back, but makes it much easier for the boat vibrations to cause the throttle to drift back - a slower change to throttle. So this does not fix the problem, it only changes where/how the problem occurs.

Me too. It’s very frustrating.
It sounds like you may have a cable or rigging issue outside of this feature
On my Yamaha 150 , I find i have to push the throttle forward passed the point where i SHOILD be getting some increase of power responce
Only on a single 150 hp?
THANKS 👍🏼👍🏼

Audio is terrible mate, you need a lapel mike so we can properly hear what you have to say
