First pancakes always turn out funky. You can add more liquid if it’s too thick. You can adjust the heat if it’s too hot, as you figured out. I have a sneaking suspicion that you will turn out to be marvelous in the kitchen. Maybe take a beginners cooking course online, ❤❤❤You are fabulous and you will get better at it! On screen the pancakes look yummy. I suggest adding more liquid so that they don't have to cook as long and less chance of burning. Experiment with batter thickness. I like a thinner batter.
I think it's nice that you're trying things to improve yourself to try to be a better partner for whomever comes into your life. Most people are making lists for what other people need to bring and that's important too but self improvement is so important in and out of relationships.
