Never realised Elster is German for magpie. That's so quaint in survival horror - a genre notorious for having the player pick up shiny objects. Great commentary, great run, great game!
And I never realised that it's magpie in English 😄. Some birds, like Stork and Storch, are very similar, so I just assumed Elster would be the same. Magpie sounds like a pastry 😋

An amazing games, absolutely breathtaking. Also it's cute to for once hear misspronounciations from the other side, as he mispronounces most of the German words. It's adorable, like the Kolibris!
I tried climbing it the exact same way and kept getting stuck just a meter or two from the top. Maybe they added an invisible wall there in the current patch that's not present on the patch they do the speedrun on? I gotta know man, what's on the other side

All of the replicas have bird names that match with their personalities
It does show what the corresponding birds are in Replika files scattered throughout the area after meeting ALDR

39:25 I was one of the ones who got Promise naturally the first time. Glad I did, I think it's the best ending now that I have them all.
Same I just beat it for the first time a few days ago and I'll be going back to get the other endings

This game has good atmosphere and a complex story, but it's overall dungeon and enemy design is garbage. A shame.
