This was an amazing video and literally saved me in the middle of the build today when I needed to confirm a few things. Not only have I purchased many items from AllDogs but they obviously care enough about their products to put out help videos.
@@AlldogsOffroadCoop But would I need to? Re-watched your intro and my truck use matches yours and max tire size would be 33". Like the idea of a rebuild service and servicing the locker. Great episode.
@@mikemorgan4670 when you're already in there it's a good time to if you plan to run larger tires. We are mostly scavenging parts from around the shop to keep this low budget otherwise we would have thrown some 3.692's at it. If we were baller building, it would have been 3.692's with an M205 up front.
Great video as always ! nice to see more Xterra videos and this is something I am hopping I can do to my Xterra as well by the end of this summer ( or sooner ) I really want to get m226 with elocker just looking for different prices to buy used one .. Now it would be also cool if I can get the front m205 as well but we'll see maybe not all at the same time.. depending what kind of deals can find. and keep more Xterra videos coming )
@@AlldogsOffroadCoop thats great ! would be looking forward to that video, are you getting it from Duncan as well ? He is my last option if can't find anything local and cheaper here... ( P.S also say "Hi" to Inek )))
It would be very helpful to have parts links required to perform this task. Everyone is planning on doing it. Links could save time and frustration. Love your videos.
I’m in current need of the differential assembly. Which they don’t even make for the m226. How on earth did they not make more parts for this axle. Now I’m stuck with having to find a fully assembled axle
do you know where i could find a new bolt for the carrier caps? one of mine came loose, snapped in half and destroyed the gears, got the parts to rebuild it all but cant find a bolt anywhere
Nice 👍 I run the same diff cover on my P4X.
It's one heavy chunk, that's for sure lol

That was very cool and super informative. Been looking to do this to my Frontier.
Good time for a regear!

Nice job one day I will put a rear locker in the 2005 Xterra

What specifically do you need? Just the carrier?
Does Eaton make that locker or something Nissan made?

the 19mm bolts for the cap mentioned at 10:10 in the video
Is that the cover for the JL/M220 from RuffStuff?
The diff cover is from RuffStuff
Did you have part numbers for wheel seal, bearing and spacer?
in the middle of this job roght now. how do you suggest of getting rid of roughness on the inside of the axle where the outter race sits?
Looking to do this to my NIsmo do you guys sell a kit on ADO???
Is it possible to do a video or explain how to remove the hub assembly? I have a 2015 Pro 4x. Thanks
What weight of diff oil does the e locker take is it 75 w 140 or 75w90
Hmm wish you could post the torque specs on the M226 diff cover, many ppl have been breaking bolts.
36 lb ft. quick google search for people breaking them would work.
@@AlldogsOffroadCoop see that's the value that many ppl say they've been breaking them at. Hmm 🤔
I'll incrementally try to reach that value I suppose. Thanks for the help.
@@fernandobriseno8164 we usually just hand tighten and check to make sure it isn’t leaking after a day or so
Do you have any videos for the pathfinder r51. It always get left out and I understand why but it’s just annoying
Not at the moment!
Interesting. That diff cover is awesome.
